I was supposed to have an ovarian mass removed only. I woke up in the recovery room and learned I had been given a hysterectomy and other organs were removed as well.

I’ve been seeing Dr Ellison since May of 2021 for Cervical Cancer. I had an appointment this upcoming Tuesday. So four days away. I just received a phone call from her staff asking if I’d switched insurance carriers. I said “no, why would I?” & she informed me that they no longer accept my insurance. They didn’t mail me a letter, send me an email or call me when they knew they were no longer accepting my insurance. In fact I talked to them a few days ago and they told me to make sure I had my PET scan sent over. This appointment was supposed to be for Dr Ellison to go over my PET scan with me. They didn’t even bother referring me to a new doctor. So now I don’t have a gynecological cancer doctor and have no idea what I’m supposed to do. My mom went in with stage 3 uterine cancer and doctor Ellison went in and did a hysterectomy and GOT ALL OF IT! ALL THE CANCER WAS GONE! She is very informative and she took the time to walk the uterus to the pathologist and she stayed until she knew they got it all! She is the BEST in her Field in my humble opinion! I have had many doctors throughout my time with ovarian cancer including dr Ellison and I rank dr Ellison as the worst one. Not recommended.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Ellison for more than three years. She is kind, patient, caring, and goes to great lengths to make certain you have all the information you need. We're lucky to have found her.

Would like an explanation as why Dr. Ellison is no longer with the Tallahassee Cancer center. My appointment was changed twice and did not care for the answer I was given. She was my surgeon and under her during my chemo treatments! Respected her straight forward answers and I would like one now as to why she left!

I liked her until she left suddenly with no notice. When I called they said she wanted to tell the patients in person. She was already gone when they told me that. When someone treats you for cancer they are important to you.

Rude, non-communicative, dressed inappropriately (super short, tight dress and stilettos). Felt I was at a truck stop diner not an oncology center.

Dr Ellison was very professional and comforting prior to my surgery. And afterwards. I highly recommend her. Her staff are also attentive to your concerns and are very sweet!

Not only is Dr Ellison brilliant efficient and caring - as is her entire staff - she is a warrior who does whatever it takes to fight for her patient’s life and wellbeing. I doubt I’d still be here if not for her skills and determination to save me. None of us know what the future holds, but I feel so much braver knowing she’s in this fight with me.

I found Dr. Ellison very warm and approachable. She was efficient and decisive which I liked. I did not spend a ton of time with her but nor did I feel rushed. She was personable and worked to ease my fears and took my own personal needs/concerns into account for post op visits/timing. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ellison.

Wonderful physician. Made me feel very comfortable and was very professional.

I liked Dr. Ellison, and I think once I gave her a chance and she realized during a procedure I was getting I was in a lot of pain she really softened up and had a heart, knowing how hard it was to go through. The way she explained what was going on made me realize she knows what she is doing very well, and we're lucky to have her in Tallahassee.

She is brilliant, efficient and caring.
