Everyone at Good Shepherd Hospital was great except this doctor. I wish we’d been able to keep the nurse practitioner Amy instead.

If I could give this doctor zero stars, I would. My opinion is that he is an arrogant physician that lacks compassion. When speaking to him about conditions with my 97 year old mother, his response was "Talk to the nurse". He was extremely sarcastic and continually interrupted me. It was necessary for me to repeat, multiple times, what I said to him. We come from three generations of medical professionals (Medical Doctors, Dentists and nurses) and this how we were taught NOT to treat people. If I could give this doctor zero stars, I would. ABSOLUTELY NOT!! He was managing my Dad's care in NWCH and we left several messages and in a 8 day period he reached out to my Mom 3 times. The entire experience was horrible no empathy for my family. He treated my dad like a disposal commodity instead of a human being. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.....

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He treated my dad at NWCH and it was quite evident he was ordering tests that did not need to be done. He sent $240 worth of prescriptions that were not needed, my dad was going into Hospice and failed 2 swallow tests yet he sends medicine in pill form. This doctor is truly disconnect with his patients. My dad was in the hospital for 8 days even after leaving numerous messages for an update he only reached out 3 times. No empathy for the family or my father.

Had my wife in tears, telling her there was nothing wrong with her, and she would be discharged from the hospital. She had severe migraines and abdominal distress for weeks, finally went in for tests ordered by her oncologist, General, and Gastronomic doctors. This guy comes in says nothing wrong, it’s in your head, and tells her she would have to go home. Her docs would not have that, and kept her thank god. Again, today he came by and basically said the same thing. Belittling, condescending.

While there were more than one unsatisfactory experiences at Good Shepard Hospital, Dr. Filipiuk was by far the worst. After 6 days of severe abdominal pain, vomiting dark red blood, and a bunch of invasive tests performed, Dr. Filipiuk visited our room as part of his daily rounds. Alarmingly, Dr. Filipiuk barged into the room accusing the patient of faking her symptoms. He then continued to belittle the patient and speak to her in a condescending tone. No patient should be subjected to this
