Dr. Marcos Szomstein

Staff very friendly and helpful except the receptionist, she’s very Rude, when you are in front desk you need to be helpful and don’t ignore when patient needs information.

Dr. Szomstein operated on me twice, 5 years apart due my serious, on-going diverticulitis. Both times he was great, caring and even visiting me at the hospital on a Sunday. The staff went out of their way to schedule my surgery on the day I wanted (and needed). I have recommended him to others and have never heard any bad feedback.

Excellent surgeon. Great bedside manners and superb attitude. Totally recommended.

If I could give his staff a ZERO STARS I would...His staff is horrible with follow-up. My father has needed to get his prescription for Ostomy Bags for 19 days and no one seems to do anything about this! I've had to purchase on my own to help him out. Just today 3/2/2021 he called back and the excuse he has been receiving from Ailema since last Friday is that the Doctor is not in... It is a prescription that needs to be signed by the Doc...how difficult is this process? The doctor will need to check his staff as this will cause his Health Grades to climb down.

Dr. Szomstein is very polite and patient. He listens to the patient and answers all your questions. I felt very comfortable with him when I went to his consultation.

Amazing doctor with a great staff.

Dr. Szomstein, a caring doctor and an excellent surgeon, helped to put my life back to normal by performing a successful colectomy a month ago. I feel so grateful to have had Dr. Szomstein as my surgeon when I had to face my problem. He patiently explained the surgery and answered every question asked. He is worth 10 stars!

Dr. Szomstein removed a large pilonidal cyst that I had been battling for over 8 years. Post-op was fairly terrible due to the nature of the procedure but eventually the wound closed and never came back. It’s been around 3 years now. He did a great job.

I was referred to Dr. Szomstein by my amazing gastroenterologist, Dr. Andrew Sable. I knew that I was in good hands by the way Dr. Szomstein took the time to explain the reason and details of my upcoming surgery. His upbeat and positive attitude put me at ease and the surgery went flawlessly- exceeding my expectations! I feel privileged to have been referred to Dr. Szomstein and will highly and gladly recommend him to friends and family should the need arise.
