Dr. Marci Ostroff

Dr. Marci Ostroff did not give handoff to the pediatric team during my delivery. Therefore, the pediatric team falsely believed that I was abusing opioids (which were actually prescribed by Women for Women & LIJ, given I required gallbladder surgery as a medical inpatient). This resulted in the pediatric team believing I was a drug user (false) and collecting a drug screen on my newborn baby (which was negative, of course) and in the separation of me from my baby. I was given a breast pump immediately and told to produce milk or my baby would get formula. They kept my baby in a different building for 3 days because of the false allegations. Of course, pediatrics was apologetic after they realized they were wrong. An apology goes a long way... When I told Dr. Ostroff of the horrific experience I had, she told me to "write a letter" to the hospital. She never apologized for her negligence which led to this outcome. If I could sue her, I would. I missed the statute of limitations.

She is very abrupt super rushed and pushed getting vaccines regardless of my thoughts. The appointment lasted a whole 2 minutes with zero ask or care for how I was doing.

Dr.Ostroff is a very abrupt and insensitive as doctor.She runs the group but her bedside manner leaves alot to be desired.When you finally see her you are rushed through your visit no opportunity for questions information nothing.Would not recommend her.

I met and got to know Dr. Ostroff personally outside of her profession long before she became my doctor. Knowing many women who had seen her through their own lives and pregnancies made me certain she would be the right woman to see me through mine as well. While I do like the practice, I don't feel as comfortable or at ease with all of the doctors, so being bounced around through pregnancy wasn't my favorite aspect. They have messed up lab results on two occasions requiring extra visits.
