Dr.Katz always saw my patients he is knowledgeable and compassionate. When I needed a podiatrist I was unable to go to him due to insurance coverage now I am in dire need see what happens when you don't go to the best podiatrist in Tampa.Now I am going no matter the cost . As a type 1 diabetic for 40 years my feet are one of my biggest priorities! I don't just trust my feet with anyone. I first went to a podiatrist in my plan, named Dr. Valins in Zephyrhills. He saw my big toenail that had fungus on it and immediately said that it had to be permanently removed. As a 40 year old woman I was not OK with losing my toenail forever. I am not vain and if I really had to do it I would have. For some reason my gut told me to get a second opinion. I went out of network and paid out of pocket to see Dr. Katz based on the reviews on various websites and boy were they RIGHT ON THE MONEY!!! Dr. Katz told me that I DID NOT need to remove a toenail from my foot unless it was causing me pain, which it wasn't. Honestly, it just looked gross. Dr. Katz then shared with me that he would never perform surgery on a diabetic's foot unless it was absolutely necessary. My experience with Dr. Valins was 4 years ago, I still have my toenail, it is still ugly but I trusted Dr. Katz and he was absolutely right. I did not need to permanently remove my toenail and take the chance of getting an infection in my foot. Please go see Dr. Katz and let him care for your feet. He is awesome!! Dr. Katz and his staff are excellent. I been going to the office for over 2 years and over this time I have made such improvements on my toes. I have had an issue for years and Dr. Katz is the only one that has been able to get me a cure. I coudn't be happier.

I saw Dr. Johnston and I LOVED her! She asked me lots of questions to make sure she understood what I was experiencing. She reviewed my x-rays with me and explained in detail what was going on with my feet, then reviewed all the treatment options and pros/cons of each. I injured my left foot on a Tuesday evening. The next morning I went to Dr. Katz' office. He had treated me a few years before. The office staff was extremely nice. I was told that Dr. Katz was out of the office, but when Dr. Leslie Johnston arrived she would be able to treat me. Dr. Johnston listened to me as I explained the area of my pain. She immediately had an idea as to what had happened. She advised that I go get an MRI. When the results came back they verified that she was spot on with her initial diagnosis. I had a tear in both of my peroneal tendons. After my injury did not respond to laser treatment, Dr. Johnston told me about prolotherapy. She explained in detail what was involved. The therapy worked wonders, I am very happy; I am pain free, and I am able to resume physical activity. WOW is right! I am not surprised at all by every excellent review below -- Dr. Katz and his office staff are THAT good. I appreciated all of the information on his website, which led me to be comfortable calling his office to make an appointment for my ingrown toenail. From my first contact with his courteous staff, to Dr. Katz, and all of his office staff every time I've visited or called, I experience unparalleled service. Dr. Katz treated my toenail, but he did so much more than that with his great sense of humor and bedside manner! What else can I say except I agree with one of the other reviewers -- I am only disappointed I cannot see or deal with Dr. Katz and his office more often! I have been seeing Dr Katz for 2 years. He is a very good doctor, he answers all questions, is very patient & kind, but also has a wonderful sense of humor. I started to see him for treatment of toenail fungus, and for other toe issues as well. He is very fair, and seems to honestly be concerned with the well being of his patients. Being in the member service industry for my professional Credit Union career, I was totally impressed with the level of service received by Dr. Katz and his staff. From my first contact on the telephone to the office visit, I was treated as a valued patient with smiles, professionalism, and a positive attitude. I was impressed. Dr. Katz and his staff were beyond excellent. Everyone there was compassionate, and personable. They squeezed me in on a busy Friday, took the time to listen to me and find out all the details with my toe, and then took care of my problem. I 100% recommend his office for any of your foot issues.
