I should have left this review 20 years ago, when it happened. You should heed the negative reviews. I had a LEEP procedure after an abnormal PAP. I believe he followed standard protocol (local anesthetic), but who knows. Maybe women feel pain differently? The procedure was excruciatingly painful. I mean, the kind of pain that makes you shake and unable to catch your breath. Granted, it only lasted about 5 minutes. But that kind of thing, you never forget. Now the kicker. As I cried out in pain, he told me, "Stop acting like a baby.". I never went back. Doctors only behave like this when they really resent their jobs (or women, in general). Dr Chaiken came highly recommended by several sources. He was very direct with letting me know my conditions and the treatment. He was never condescending.

I have been going to Dr. Chaiken for many years (maybe 30 or 35). Depend on his expertise and caring. He is retiring, so that is sad for me. I hope he will have a good retirement.

I've been a patient of Dr. Chaiken's for 35 years. He delivered my second child, a daughter, 34 years ago and I continued to go to him for my women's care because I knew I could never find someone that was as caring, sensitive to my concerns, never rushed me and always answered all my questions in a way that made me feel I was in very good hands. This was my last appointment with him because, as of June 30th, he will be retired. I am very grateful for the excellent care he has provided and for the effort he always made to know about me as a person as well as a patient. Always very professional, trustworthy and kind. He will surely be missed by all his patients. I switched to Capital Women Care because that's where he moved his practice, but I continue to be very impressed with the excellent service they provide. You are not just a patient, but a person with individual needs, and they stay on top of new treatments and medications. I know that I will continue to be in good hands.
