Dr. Maia S Mccuiston

I strongly do not recommend Dr. McCuiston. I told Dr. McCuiston that my toddler daughter was very anxious around new people and would not be removing her clothing, but she ignored us. When my toddler was predictably upset, Dr. McCuiston impatiently pushed through the exam, despite being told no and at my daughter’s increasing distress. At one point, I intervened to stop the appointment and was told that she would have my husband put my daughter down to walk to me. This was a lie, and the exam culminated in Dr. McCuiston yanking off my daughter’s pants and wrenching her out of my husband’s arms so forcefully that she left marks under my daughter’s arms. My daughter was screaming, crying, and flailing hysterically, and Dr. McCuiston was swinging her in a manner likely to injure her. We jumped up to intervene and my husband firmly told Dr. McCuiston “no, give her back.” Dr. McCuiston castigated my husband for stepping in and speaking up, essentially gaslighting us as parents.

I love Dr McCuiston. She has left the current practice and I am trying to find her so I can follow her. My son loves her too.

We have been coming to this office and to see Dr Jackson for the last 6 years. The care that we receive at each visit is excellent. Dr Jackson is kind, thoughtful, and the best clinician we have ever seen. I am able to send her messages with any concerns and she answers promptly with advice. She remembers details about my children and the kids actually enjoy coming to see her. The whole team in this office work together efficiently and are a strong team. Visits to Dr. Jackson are always exciting because of how funny and non-stressful she makes doctors appointments. She is always in a great mood and knows everything! Every question I've asked I've gotten an amazing response to with all the information I could ever need. She definitely thinks of her patients as friends she deeply cares about rather than just any other patient.

Very personable and spends time with you and your child. Easy to talk to and explains very clear and well. Takes the time to review your concerns and is very up to date on medicine and knowledgeable. I’ve had her for 3 years now. If it wasn’t for her, we would have left Kaiser.

Dr. Jackson is a very personable pediatrician which is a quality many in her profession ignore. Providing medical attention to children is hard enough for the parents, but for a doctor to break through to your child in a friendly manner, especially when they are under the weather is a feat I have high regard for !
