Reviews for Mahmood Moradi
Due to having Spinal stenosis, I have needed both upper and lower back surgery twice and in both cases, Dr. Moradi was my surgeon. I cannot praise him enough. Both he and his staff are “top notch”.
Please stay away from here. Especially the witch at the front desk and shame to Dr Moradi for employing someone like her
kind attentive
I had to have emergency surgery and was referred here. Front desk staff went above and beyond to help. The doctor was very honest and direct.
I have first-hand experience with Dr. Moradi, and I can tell you this: I do not choose doctors based on their 'bedside manners.' I choose them based on their qualifications and patient testimonials, and Dr. Moradi leaves nothing to be desired in these regards. Dr. Moradi provided me with a very succinct diagnosis, and confidently recommended a specific surgery as treatment. After seeking a second opinion (on his recommendation),I found his diagnosis and recommendation to be accurate. I appreciate the level of skill and direct communication that Dr. Moradi and his staff provide, and I look forward to receiving his excellent care during and after my surgery. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Moradi, and so should you. -Rick Trevino I have first-hand experience with Dr. Moradi, and I can tell you this: I do not choose doctors based on their 'bedside manners.' As a retired nurse of 35 years, I have worked with several neurosurgeons, Dr, Moradi is the finest technician of them all. I trust him with my condition, as well as my mother's. I would recommend him highly to anyone who finds himself in need of an excellent surgeon.
I called to see if I could get an appointment. My endocrinologist recommended me here, but the receptionist is so Rude! Decided to not continue in booking the appointment. She was so eager to get info about my insurance rather than see what all was going on with me. Sounded like an old person. I’m pretty sure McDonald’s has more class than she did!!! -I accept your apology. But If you take as much time trying to understand what a “new client needed” rather than being rude. I’m sure you would have better reviews. You are very contradicting. I was NEVER offered an appointment at all. You seem to like to waste time replying to reviews but so eager to get to know someone’s insurance. I appreciate the well wishes. Thank you! I called to see if I could get an appointment. Dr. MORADI has been highly recommend ed by so many..He is very straightforward , will give his recommendation and respects your decision. Cheryl is excellent running the front desk. She is well experienced and do her job very well. I do respect how She runs the front desk well.
Dr Moradi was a true answer to prayer! Sought answers from others to no avail and first visit with Dr Moradi was very reassuring that I was where I needed to be. He ordered MRI’s stat and within one week was in surgery. Went in a wheelchair to first visit and now walking like a champ! There are not enough adjectives to express my thankfulness for Dr Moradi!
I didn't make it past getting the blood work done which would be because the receptionist managed to scan the original form before the Dr. adds his tests which one of them was not even in the directory for Quest Labs. I don't think I have ever nor will I ever come across an impolite and petty office in my entire life. Sheryl always had an excuse for not updating my insurance per say or sending the lab work order to the quest in their building for they can "only fax it but she can't give it to me ", then today she says" we aren't authorized to send it to a lab". If your job is in healthcare you need to make sure every letter is accurate, denying things here and there now the funny part is that even the lab technician was utterly surprised and said she is so rude as she was on speaker, the lady was calling her honey the entire time and she yells my name is Sheryl. The cherry on top was the Dr picking up and then saying that the technician is wrong cause the test must be there and having the audacity to say to me that I need to speak to his office politely before he was sone with his sentence I said I'll see a different Dr., so I'm supposed to yes ma'am as Sheryl AKA huge Karen is being very impolite to me, no sir we rise above but Karens would take it as stepping over you. Now mind you Sheryl here managed to deliver a different story to the Dr, now I said its your job as an office to make sure I have the tests correctly and I emailed you the tests the Dr wrote. She went to the Dr probably saying I was being rude and its her job to make sure my wish is her command I wish her nothing but better attitude. As the office closes at 5 the pettiness of calling me at 6:11 P.M just so i'd call back for her to say by mistake? Mind you initially we went for my father and on his first appointment tells him he needs invasive back surgery, no bedside manners. He might be very smart Dr and knows his job thoroughly which I'm not sure of but 0/10 bedside manners. My initial mistake was disregarding the bad google reviews considering his staff and giving the office the benefit of the doubt, overall will repost this every other week or every month so you guys don't fall for this trap. So when Sheryl says something in one call then you tell her that the next call she wont say it must've been someone else when that tone and high pitched voice with attitude is quite hard to miss is supposedly someone else. I didn't make it past getting the blood work done which would be because the receptionist managed to scan the original form before the Dr. adds his tests which one of them was not even in the directory for Quest Labs. I could not even make it past the appointment set up. The office manager refused to send any information, i.e. date, time, address, items to bring, etc. via email and I could not write it down since I was driving. Very bad customer service and I am supposed to trust you to fix me up? No thanks!
Very good doctor and very good staff
This Doctor IS ONE OF THE MOST INSENSITIVE, HEARTLESS, MEAN doc i have ever come across had no manners how to deal with a patient who is suffering with severe pain and. DO NOT GO THERE.
worst experience I ever had at a DRs office from his front desk girl to him, very rude, Dismissive, and must think we are idiots. Don't trust him, he wont even let you ask a question he will shush you, seriously is he kiding
Honestly, I was not with Dr. Moradi more than 5 minutes, and I already had an idea of what was going on... he just confirmed it. However, in a phone call to understand bills that I received from outside of their office-radiology (even though I provided them with a report)- I was interrupted, talked over, and dismissed... even put on hold without telling me- basically like hanging up on me- to talk to a higher up. They are not compassionate or understanding. (I was out of work for 5 months before this appointment) They just kept saying it wasn't a bill from them. Who requests someone to read an MRI when a report is already provided and then charges the patient- without letting them know!?!? This "wonderful" doctor apparently can't even read x-rays, as I just received a bill for that as well!! Not to mention the bill for the x-rays. It is not hard to be kind, compassionate, up front, and honest. Will not be going back. EDIT- response to response... I understand the payment for xrays. But the condescending tone of "everyone knows" there are other fees for other services was uncalled for, and not entirely true. I paid for my MRI, and I provided a report of the MRI I had done. There was no need to ask for his own reading by his own people, but if that was the case "I" should not be paying for it! And putting me on hold was not to check with any one- it was so I could talk to the older lady since the young one was being rude and when I called her out, got frustrated. Otherwise, I would have heard... "I'm sorry, let me see if I can figure this out for you. In the meantime I'm going to transfer you..." Nothing but perfection from Dr. Moradi!
I highly recommend Dr. Moradi! He is a miracle worker. A no nonsense & caring neurosurgeon. I owe my life to Dr. Moradi. Thank you Dr. Moradi!! I thank you, my family thanks you!!
Dr. Moradi performed a laminectomy for L3-L5 in 2019. It was a very good experience and I've been out of pain ever since.
I am a two time veteran with Dr. Moradi. I went into his office in the worst of conditions, a massive tumor in my lower spine that was growing out of the spinal nerve bundle in the Cuada Equina area. He successfully resected this tumor, and with the help of the radiation team at Methodist and I enjoyed 6 very active years. In May of 2020 it was discovered that I was regrowing a tumor in the same area (there was a very high percentage chance that this would happen, so no big surprise really) and under the knife I went again. I will say this, both times the surgery was successful. I lost the symptoms of crushing sciatica pain and was able to basically return to pre-surgical activities. To counter the previous review, Dr. Moradi cares about his patients well being. He gets the worst of the worst referred to him (such as myself) and does his very best to make them comfortable. I have been with him for some time and I can see it in his eyes. He is a demanding Doctor, as evident the way the surgical and recovery staff cared for me. I heard from multiple nurses and staff that his patients recover faster with fewer complications than other Neuro patients. This I believe as I was able to leave the hospital the very next day post surgery. I will once again need his assistance going forward, as there is no longer a radiation option for me. I will not hesitate to call when that day comes. I am a two time veteran with Dr. Moradi. Dr. Moradi performed Kyphoplasty on my L1 disc. The procedure went smoothly & after the procedure, I no longer had any pain. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Moradi covered all basis to make sure my husband and I understood all the options for my treatment and surgery. Dr. Moradi gave us ample time to ask questions and feel confident in our decision.

Dr Moradi performed an extremely difficult multi-level lumbar fusion. We both didn't fully expect a complete success. I had severe lower leg pain and numbness. After a 6 hr procedure and some rehab, I have no pain or numbness which I hadn't had relief in several years and my quality of life had diminished. I had a very difficult insurance company with denial of services but between the office staff and Dr Moradi everything was fully approved. He had also performed a cervical fusion a few years ago. I have no hesitation recommending Dr Moradi to anyone in need of neurological spinal surgery.
Very clear and concise in diagnosing my problem and swiftly explaining the remedy and setting up a plan and a reservation for surgery.
Doctor Moradi was very compassionate and was always available during my mother’s ordeal. I couldn’t ask for a better surgeon. What a brilliant man!
Dr. Maradi is very good. I was worried about the surgery to remove the spinal tumor, those risks and complications. He explained to me and my husband thoroughly. The surgery was done very successfully.
Dr. Moradi is simply the best. He performed Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion surgery on me recently. Dr. Moradi took the time to throughly explain the procedure I needed, painstakingly answered all of my questions and did not pressure me to have surgery. He definitely made me feel that he cared about me as a patient and wanted to do what was best to help me with my pain. His staff was very kind and helpful as well. My healing process has gone well and believe I will continue to experience more relief as time goes by. I highly recomend Dr. Moradi.
I have been a patient of Dr. Moradi for several years. He has performed a minor day surgery operation with excellent results. At my most recent office visit we discussed my condition. He explained my situation in detail and in layman's language. The office visit was very professional and there was no pressure applied. The ball is in my court. Dr. Moradi's P.A., Office Manager, and Receptionist are all about congeniality and professionalism. I will continue to drive the approximately 125 miles one way for treatment of issues of a Neurological nature so long as this group of professionals will have me..
Thorough, good explanation, listened. Gres-at doctor.
Dr. Moradi is an excellent neurosurgeon. He is very good about listening and explains everything in an understandable way. He is also an inspiration!
I first used Dr. Moradi 15 years ago. I was so pleased with his work, that we used him for my wife and daughter.
Today, November 13, 2019, was my final follow-up visit after my back surgery. Dr. Moradi is an excellent surgeon who operated on my back. He is very knowledgeable and explained exactly what he was going to do in surgery. I no longer have that miserable back pain. He answered all my questions. From this day forward I would not even think of going to another Neuro - Surgeon because I will be his patient for the rest of my life if I ever need his expertise again.
Dr MORADI and his staff are the BEST neurological surgeon and staff that I have ever been to. Dr MORADI is very thorough and asks pertinent questions. He suggests to surgery as a last resort. I would not trust another doctor or staff do my spine surgery!
Follow up and MRI Results
Dr. Moradi takes time to listen to my symptoms and is sympathetic with my issues. He makes me feel that he will find the problem. The office staff is always very accommodating and friendly.
Dr. Moradi’s name came to me from a highly respected health care professional. Dr. Moradi was thorough in his assessment of my condition. Even though his speciality is surgery, he did not push an evasive procedure before exploring nonsurgical alternatives. I appreciate his professionalism and wisdom regarding my situation.
Dr.Moradi, the best neurosurgeon there is. He treated like a patient should and everyone around him was great. I would recommend his team anytime.. God bless; everybody on the team.
Dr. Moradi is a very attentive, patient, and caring doctor. He helped me with my neck and back pain. I was paralyzed from my stomach to my knee and he immediately took action and admitted me into the hospital. Within 3 days I had surgery to correct the issue. I thank God to meet Dr. Moradi. He has helped me so much. I had been misdiagnosed 4 times. I will forever be grateful for his help and aid with my issues. I highly recommend Dr. Moradi to anyone.
Dr. Moradi is excellent, he is always there for is patients and tells you the truth. Dr. Moradi is the best!
I have tried to reach the office manager in regards to a bill. I have left several messages. The one time she actually came to the phone, she was nasty. She cut me off and wouldn't let me talk. The doctor is fantastic, and the other ladies in the office are great, but he will lose patients due to the manager's attitude.
Dr. Moradi is a wonderful doctor. There was this older lady in the office, not sure what she does, but Dr. Moradi called her out of her office for assistance. She fought him every step and eventually just walked off with a wave of her hand. The rest of the staff was great.
Great doctor. Took his time explaining and answered all my questions.
Communicated procedure well. Thorough discussing procedure and issues
Nothing but POSITIVE !!! He did fusion on my cervical spine. Hard to believe something seemingly difficult like that could really be as easy as Dr. Moradi has made it. I gathered when asked who my surgeon was that at Memorial/Hermann-Memorial City, Dr. Moradi is a very well respected physician. Every time someone inquired as to who my surgeon was and I told them, I got the same response: "He's a very good Dr". Nice to put yourself in hands of one respected by his peers! Great staff too!
Great
Dr Mahmood Moradi and his stuff is Awesome, its a positive energy as soon as you walk into the office with a smile. Dr Moradi PA is so wonderful she checked up on me the same day after surgery and before I was discharged to go home. They all are Team Awesome!!!
Patient and explains things well in understandable terms. Excellent doctor. I would recommend.
He's very caring doctor. He check to make sure every thing ok with me. I appreaction that.
I really like Dr. Moradi. He has been my neurologist for 10 years and will continue as long as he practices.
Great
Dr. Moradi is very friendly and explains all issues in detail. Staff is very courteous and accommodating.
Dr. Moradi was very cordial and comforting during the examination and easy to talk to. He answered the questions asked and was specific in describing his diagnosis and suggested physical therapy as the first line of treatment for my situation.
Extremely knowledgeable. great bed side manners and took time to explain everything without sugarcoating any of the issues
Dr. Moradi has been my Neurosurgeon since 2005, when he performed surgery on my neck. I went to him in severe pain and limited movement in my neck and left arm. When I awoke after surgery, pain was gone. I have spinal arthritis. After having back pain in my lower back, for many years, it became so bad that I had severe pain going down my legs and, at one time, could not walk. Dr. Moradi operated on lower back in 2015 and it has helped tremendously, Dr. Moradi is a miracle worker!
Dr Moradi was very thorough and explained my test results at a level I could understand. We talked about different options but didn’t want to give his recommendation what he felt should be done until he had some more tests run. I felt very relaxed as he didn’t come across as knife hungry and willing to try other treatments and use surgery as the last resort. As a medical person myself, this was very comforting.
This doctor may be very good but I never got to find out due to the incompetence and rudeness of the staff. I showed up on time for my appointment with a referral from my primary care physician. The staff said I didn't have certain "number" needed and the insurance would not pay. I offered to pay cash but they refused. I was in great pain and had been waiting for this appointment for two weeks. The most uncaring and unprofessional medical office staff I have ever encountered. I will never go bac
First surgery I ever had. I would not have wanted any other Doctor. Thank you Dr Moradi
The office manager (older white woman), RUDE, doesn't allow you to speak without her interupting and talking down to you. If you have concerns or anything doesn't want to hear it. Others girls very nice. I'm yr. 4 mths back surgery. He messed up, another dr is having to take out all hardware/bone graft THEN redo. He said all looked great doesn't know why pain. And sent me out the door. BEWARE HATE FOR THIS TO BE YOU! Plus once you see PA not him even though appt with him.
Dr. Moradi is a knowledgeable physician. My experience my office visit was pleasant from the time I made my appointment until I left after being seen. I recommend him highly.
Dr Moradi is a smart, talented, caring, efficient and consistent professional. He has surrounded himself with the same qualities in his office and surgical teams. The Houston area is lucky to have him around!
Dr. Moradi was my second opinion before my first neck fusion surgery. He really impressed me with the time he took to explain all the details of the surgery, the recovery time and any limitations. Dr. Moradi, along with his excellent staff, has seen me through 2 neck fusion surgeries that were 5 years apart. He is an excellent communicator and his diagnosis was spot on.
Excellent surgeon and person. Most knowledgeable and compassionate. His staff reflects Dr. Moradi. They are thourough, knowlageable and compassionate. Most difficult surgery I have ever had and I came through it with flying colors. I owe my health to Dr. Moradi and his staff. Thank you all.
Dr. Moradi gave me an honest opinion about surgery and what it would do for my herniated disc. He performed my surgery two weeks ago, and the pain has virtually disappeared. He also has an excellent, friendly staff.
Dr. Moradi recently removed a cyst from my pituitary. He along with a team of other professionals were able to complete a successful comprehensive surgery. Thanks Dr. Moradi
Dr. Moradi clearly informed me of my condition and gave me options and recommendations. I decided to have the surgery after weighing the options. The surgery went as he explained without any complications. The recovery is also going well as Dr. Moradi explained without complications. He and his staff are very professional and I highly recommend him to anyone who requires his service.
I would highly recommend Dr. Moradi. He looked over all my test results, listened to my pain issues, had me to stand and walk so he could access my stance. Once looking at my MRI, he knew exactly what my problem was and thereby outlined a medical plan. His front desk receptionist, Ann, is very competent in answering any number of questions related to Dr. Moradi's practice. . Dr. Moradi's, PA, Selena, was also helpful in answering a variety of questions once I came home from surgery.
Although Dr. Moradi has good educational and professional credentials he fails to listen to his patients and seems to be unaware of the new treatments and procedures that exist and have been extensively implemented in the U.S.A., Europe and other parts of the world. His antagonistic demeanor suggest that he is more concerned about financial matters than the well being of his patients.
I saw Dr. Moradi last year for a surgery on my neck. He and his staff are wonderful and so helpful. He took his time to answer my questions. His PA, Salina, took her time to answer my questions as well. I never had any issues with the office, staff or scheduling. Dr. Moradi was fantastic and I would, and do, recommend him to anyone with back or neck issues. I carry his business cards in my wallet!
