Dr. Mahmood Fattooh Moosa

This doctor walks in 40 minutes after my appointment time, has no idea what medicine I've taken or had horrible side effects from, and continues to push drugs at me, and when I say I'd like to try for 3 months with diet and exercise, I was told I can't do it, and it won't work. Then I was told I should just deal with side effects, which include uncontrollable vomiting and infections. No thanks! When I wouldn't agree with him, he told me to get another doctor and started to walk out. Moosa does not care about his patients at all. I was passed to him from another doctor there, he saw me 3 times, none of which were pleasant interactions, and he told me if I wanted to lose weight maybe I should cut off my leg, but it wouldn't fix my problem. Horrible!

The np and dr moosa himself are fine. The staff they have to answer calls are not. Very rude and disrespectful. Yelling over your patients who is trying to get a problem their staff caused fixed because you dont like a word that was said ,or because you dont like getting called out over the phone for the nonsense that caused the problem, is unacceptable. Especially when the problem is that the office has major issues getting your scripts to the pharmacy. When your medications are your life and they are playing games with them letting your life be at risk. Not acceptable.

Back and fourth with testing with up and down results. 5-10 minute visit time to discuss your health, with no questions answered. After 3 visits schedules with multiple PR. No clear cut answers on your health with no access to testing til next appointment. Multiple appointments rescheduled in one year. You miss 3 appointments in 1yr due to circumstances and your removed from practice. Find a Doctor with a conscious who will take time and care for your Health.

At my first appointment, Dr Moosa correctly diagnosed an unpleasant condition I’ve had for over a decade. I saw many doctors who did many tests during that time, but they never figured it out. He also gave me an Rx that treated it effectively. That proved his diagnosis correct, even before any tests. I’ve been to Mayo & Cleveland Clinics, where they ran a bazillion tests. Dr Moosa’s diagnostic abilities beats them & it’s not even close. He is the best I’ve found anywhere. Even though he addressed my major concern, he has continued to test me for other problems he suspects I might have. In my experience, most doctors aren’t usually so thorough. He always takes as much time as needed during appointments. I’ve never felt rushed in any way. If you’re late, he’ll still see you, no problem. That’s very unusual for doctors. He does things his way, but it’s always to the benefit of his patients. If you’re fortunate enough to get a referral to him, do yourself a favor & go

Prompt response from the staff and from dr. Moosa

I have only seen him for my first visit, he was super kind and very helpful. He took the time to get to know me and my health history and came up with a plan that could work for me to get my diabetes under control. I now see Alison and she's great, I love the office and all the staff. The only issue I have ever had and this was prior to Covid was how long I was there in the waiting room. From the minute you walk into the office, you are treated with respect, friendliness, and helpfulness. The front desk staff are welcoming & very kind. The Drs. & assistants are very knowledgeable & explain things in terms that you as a patient can easily understand. They are very thoughtful & patient. I can't imagine going to any other clinic.

Jackie always take good care of me. She takes the time to listen me and all of my concerns and questions, explains procedures and results and makes sure I am doing well. I normally do not have a very long wait to be seen. All of the staff is very engaging and friendly.

Dr.Moosa is a wonderful doctor,I also like the staff. I was given new meds that gave me terrible side effects, I called the office many times but did not get answered,so I left two voicemails about my problem and never received a reply,very disappointed. I have been seeing Dr. Moosa since 2018 when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He has worked diligently to get me on the right medications to get my numbers to where they should be after I had my thyroid removed. Last month, I finally graduated to going every six months. My numbers are perfect! His staff is professional, friendly and always willing to help.

I have been a patient for 15 years or more. I have a great relationship with Dr Moosa and his staff; my health has improved dramatically. With DM Type 1 for 55 years, I am looking forward to many more years with the Dr and his staff.

My Mom's appointment was at 1pm. She still was not seen by 2pm. She decided to leave and the staff acted surprised, said there were only 2 patients ahead of her. She came out to my car (I drove her) and she said, "Never again! I am not going back to him." Be aware, the first time you go for an appointment, they are very nice and accommodating. After that I really don't think they care.

Always have available appointments, thorough & get you in & out quickly. Cant say it enough...this office has Very good services!

The entire staff is extremely thorough. My one and only complaint is that the wait time is sometimes too long. But I think this is because they are so thorough, sometimes a visit simply takes longer than expected.

I like that this office is independent and not "under big medica's" thumb. All of the staff is caring, professional and not rushed.

Unprofessional

My visit was fine. When my husband went he said the girls were not very nice. Tried to get reports sent to another Dr but the “girls” refused to do it. Unacceptable

Don’t ever get back to you about urgent health/prescription questions. And then send you something in the mail saying they tried to get a hold of you. But they don’t. Would rather their thyroid patients go without life saving medication instead of just allowing a refill during a global pandemic.

Dr. Moosa, and his CNP have been great. His office staff are un-compassionate, and not helpful at all. Their office called in several new scripts for me. The pharmacy needed more information from the doctors office. They left a message with Moosa's office, which was never returned. I just called Moosa's office, and asked if they could contact the pharmacy, and provide the information they need. They refused, and said I would need to contact the pharmacy, and find out what they needed, and call them back. When I was trying to communicate with the office person, she kept talking over me while I was talking. I informed her that she was the most unprofessional, and rude person I had ever dealt with at an office. She informed me that she was a nice person! I still don't have my scripts.

I was freezing while waiting in the dr office. A week later I had to go to the ER for MRSA. The only place I'd been besides home. Refused to give me bloodtest results.

Horrible doctor. I have been going to this doctor for years and as his practice grows his bed side manner and staff have forgot how to treat patients. So it is a little before months to see him and I am told that I got a courtesy refill on my THYROID medication in May. Now that I am out and don't have an appt for 2 weeks the doctors office has told me that I have to go with out my THYROID medication for 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS. This is not a pain medication. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Dr. Moosa was disrespectful and patronizing. When I made suggestions about my mother’s care based on the test results he gave us, he informed me that he was the doctor and we would tell us his recommendations. He does not explain things well.

Both Dr Moosa and his Assistance are Wonderful....They are really helping me to get my Diabetes under control and I feel very comfortable there I never feel judged about my numbers or weight like some Drs do with Diabetes I had seen another very well known Dr who made me feel as if this was all my fault I should have watched my weight yada yada (I was 145 pounds when I was diagnosed ) I had been on steriods alot for my Lupus and joint pain from Rhymotoid so I put on weight at that time.

Dr. Moosa is my doctor since 2011. He saved my life. I was prediabetic A1c 5.8 and he helped me to control the amount I eat of carb every day so now my A1c is 5.3. I was suffering from pain in my bones and feeling tired most of the time and he is the one discovered that I have deficiency in my vitamin D. He always available to see me when I need. His Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are very nice. When I miss an appointment, his staff follow up with me to schedule another appointment

Before seeing Dr Moosa I read his reviews and was so confused because he either gets a 5 or a 1 very little in between. My first couple of visits I thought he was amazing. My last visit I asked a question and he came completely unglued. Yelled at me. Then when my son told him he was out of line and unprofessional he said “okay I’ll work on it you work on finding a new doctor”. You deserve better, we all do, don’t go here. Unprovoked hostility is a scary attribute in a physician.

I absolutely love Dr. Moosa. He has helped me so much with my health issues and I am truly thankful for his knowledge, caring, kindness and guidance over that past few years.

I feel that Dr. Moosa and staff are very patient and kind and thorough. My appointments are never rushed they take time to explain everything.

Very compassionate doctor and staff. Gives you all of the time that you need during app't, explains test results, meds and conditions very thoroughly. Everyone there goes out of their way to be helpful. Never feel rushed and waiting room time is never long.

he has helped me a lot by getting my thyroid under control .starting to feel better and the meds are working good .

He has helped me get my A1C under 5.6. His staff is friendly, caring and supportive. They can usually get you in for an appointment in a few days if you can visit one of his 3 offices. Dr Moosa takes the time to listen and he gives a clear written plan of care for you to follow.

The entire staff was amazing! My appointments flow like a doctors visit should .they even printed out coupons for my prescriptions, and we all know those can be an arm and a leg I paid third of the price THANK YOU PAM!!!! and now my mother also goes to moosa and absolutely loves it!

Very nice and patient!! I'm not sure why he only has 3.5 stars overall but he's probably one of the best doctors I've seen in a while. He's patient, kind, listens to everything you have to say. He must trains his staff to also be this way because they are!! I would definitely recommend.

I went to him a few years ago...I see recent reviews are similar to mine. I was referred by my family doctor for low thyroid, fatigue and weight gain. I saw Moosa; he says, you are low but still in normal range and was going to send me on my way. When I voiced my concerns, as did my family physician, about the fatigue and weight gain as well as the thyroid level drop, he asked me what I wanted him to do?!!! Help me maybe? He said if it would make me happy, he would prescribe something. STAY AWAY

Great doctor & staff. Quickly diagnosed my issues and with spot spot on accuracy. Recommended to my sister and he did same for her. I sometimes see the nurse practitioner BUT am always reassured if any concerns & want to see him,I'm welcome too. Whole staff very helpful & friendly.

Recently switched. First visit, I was left in the waiting room for an hour. Once I met with Dr Moosa, he was very attentive. Second visit, they had changed office location without notice. Once I found the new location, I had the best checkup I've had in several years. I was filled with hope. However, the office is now refusing to fill life dependent medications and suggested I find a new Dr, because I haven't been seen in 3 months. Search starts now. Front office is horrid!

I placed a lot of faith in this Dr. He was very good the first 2 visits and I thought I had finally found a good Dr. Sadly I was wrong, he turned out to be one of the worst I had ever seen. He asks you, the patient what you want him to do??? HE is the Dr!! If you are looking to be your own Dr and want him to run every test on you or try medications then by all means you will like him. His office staff is horrible, or at least they were a year ago, sadly I fired him and his staff.

In a nutshell: I was a new patient and scheduled the FIRST appointment of the day at 8AM. I didn't see the doctor until almost 9AM due to triple-booking of appointments. I am dealing with brain tumors right now and, when I finally did see the doctor, he was totally unprepared. He glanced at my labs, ordered more, and sent me packing after after LESS THAN 5 MINUTES! I don't think he ever made eye contact with me. The capper - I was billed for a HIGH level appointment. STAY AWAY! You'll thank me.

100% likely to recommend Dr moosa to friends and family some times strangers who are having truble with diabetes.

He asked me how I felt and actually wanted I know.

I would recommend Dr. Moosa to family and friends my experience with Dr. Moosa is very good. Every office visit with Dr. Moosa is a great experience he takes the time to answer my questions and all of my concerns. The nurse staff is always nice and pleasant and greet me with a smile. So if you need a good doctor I recommend Dr. Moosa.
