Best damn back Doctor in Idaho falls! Dr Stromberg and Laura are one of the best teams I've ever worked with!

I have had 2 surgerys with Dr. Stromberg an my husband has had one and we both highly recommend him.

I dom't recommend this doctor. He doesn't believe in chiropractors, physical therapist, or reflexology. But he can't tell me why i am still in pain other than i have the back of someone my age. I highly recomens seeing a younger doctor who may be more open minded because those people i mentiones above are the only one that have made me feel better at all. He is the best hands down!! And his staff especially Laura can’t be beat, she is so caring and professional!

Dr Stromberg was very thorough in his diagnosis of carpal tunnel. His staff Laura is very helpful with scheduling and goes above and beyond to schedule you quickly and make outside appointments for x-rays, neurologist visits etc, happen the same day and within hours in my case. That is unheard of in most Dr Offices. Ussually the attitude is you do things on our terms and we will get to you when we are ready. Laura is awesome. Dr. Stromberg spent 10 minutes on the phone with me when I was deciding a path forward and had a concern. He is great Dr. and I highly recommend. I have had two cervical fusions and a thoracic fusion due to osteoarthritis and other causes. All three were very successful. Dr Stromberg is an excellent doctor and very thorough. He tells you what to he's going to do and what to expect afterward. He is mild mannered and pretty quiet but knows what he's doing and will answer all your questions. And he's an extremely nice person. He goes the extra distance to do what should be done and also to keep scars minimal. People never know I've had two different cervical levels of surgery because they don't notice the scars and he spends the extra time to make it that way. These scars are in the front of my neck! He spent an extra hour taking out the old hardware through the new scar to avoid opening up the old scar. Plus, I am amazed at how much movement I still have in my neck. I hardly notice the difference, except when I have to look behind me. I strongly recommend Dr. Stromberg. I could have gone to any doctor, but my neighbor had terrible scoliosis and both Dr's Stromberg and Weight spent eight hours in the operating room getting her spine straightened out. She told me she hadn't felt that good in many, many years. That's when I decided to go to him. That was close to ten years ago. You can count on getting the very best care from Dr Stromberg. His office manager, Laura, is an organizational genius! She always had the paperwork done and can answer many questions. She is very knowledgeable and will willingly share it with you. Excellent surgeon! I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Stromberg! I highly recommend him to anyone in need of spine care! 5 stars all the way!

Wow what a waste of time. He basically said you're fine and deal with the pain. Didn't make any suggestions when I know that at the very minimum weight training and yoga can help my condition.

Dr. Stromberg is the only neurosurgeon I would allow to preform surgery on me. I'm not sure what happened with the other 2 people that posted reviews but I completely disagree. If you are looking for a doctor that just hands out pain medication then this is not the doctor for you. If you are looking for a doctor that will do surgery just because you want him to...once again this is not the doctor for you. Dr. Stromberg is very thorough when he investigates the problems you are having. He will not do surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. He declined to do surgery on my back on 2 different occasions because it wasn't bad enough yet. To me that shows he is very thorough and that he wants to be sure that you will benefit from actually having a surgery. His office staff is absolutely amazing! Laura walks you through everything that needs to be done with you and your insurance. They are great about answering any questions you may have and always return your phone calls. Dr. Stromberg is also very straight forward. He does not sugarcoat his findings or his thoughts about what is going on with you. He is very short and to the point. This is one of the things I like about him. He will give you his honest opinion and diagnosis. He performed surgery on me a week ago and his office has been great about making sure I have everything I need. Dr. Stromberg is the only neurosurgeon I would allow to preform surgery on me. Dr.Stromberg not only explained the medical part but was very knowledgeable about workmans comp insurance and insurance coverage.

joke of a doctor! he didn't understand how pain meds could help my pain go away

I have no doubt that Dr. Stromberg is knowledgable in his field of study, but I have never felt any doctor I've visited seem to care so little about the problem I was having. I spent an hour with a doctor the day before mulling over x-rays, doing different tests, and deciding a plan of action. Dr. Stromberg talked with me for 5 minutes. He didn't so much as look or touch my back, or even pull out the x-rays to compare to until I asked him to do so before leaving. He also didn't even x-ray the right section, because he didn't bother to talk to me before having the tech just start the imaging of my lumbar. (I needed the thoracic). His end consensus was "I don't know" until I suggested an MRI to look more into the tissues. That shouldn't be my job to continue the investigation. I have no doubt that Dr. Stromberg is knowledgable in his field of study, but I have never felt any doctor I've visited seem to care so little about the problem I was having.
