The case manger carol is super rude and she don’t care about time or anything. Most of the staff is easy to get along g with, but his office manger is a joke. They have no concept of time for their patients. It does not matter you scheduled a year in advance, what time you come in compared to when you Will be seen. Ie: 9am appt arrive at 8:30 ,they pull you in at 9:30 just to I send you back to one of their two waiting areas. I have never been able to leave her on less then 3 hours. It does not matter if you have other appointments what matters is they will see you when they choose . Not when they say they will. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor Do Not Come Here!!

It was an excellent experience. We did not have to wait long to be seen and it was the most comprehensive eye exam I’ve ever had. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional and very helpful explaining the process. We received direct attention and Dr Freedman ensured all of my questions and concerns were addressed. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Don’t let the old reviews fool you, This is definitely a practice that can take care of all your eye health and prescription needs. This office does not know how to schedule. It looks like they overbook too. They think it’s ok that every visit takes multiple hours. Ridiculous, unacceptable and highly inconsiderate of the patient. There are too many good doctors to spend the day here. I doubt we will be back. Plan to leave with our records.

Dr. Freedman is very rude and acts like you aren't in the room even as he examines you. He yelled at me for crying when he wouldn't tell my what was wrong with my eye. My first appointment he just told me that I may need to go to the ER, but not why. My last appointment with him, I asked him what was going on with my eye and he said it was what I told him, better but not what it should be. I asked what I could do to improve it and he said we will wait and see what happens. Every appointment was 3-5 hours long. Only go to him if you want to spend all day at the office and be treated like you don't exist.

A real disappointment...staff rude & disrespectful to Choice VA Veteran..Treated more as a customer (money) instead as a patient..Avoid..

For starters if you are concerned about Covid 19 and social distance, this is not the place for you. People sitting in waiting room elbow to elbow. I went out and waited in hall. Front office personnel was extremely rude. Makes sense after meeting with Dr Freedman. Absolutely hands down the rudest Doctor I have ever been to in my life. After he left room nurses actually tried to apologize for his behavior. Hard to believe he has a successful practice. I will go blind before going back to this place. Today I had the most horrendous experience with Carol who has been the office manager there for over 38 years I know this because that was her excuse for her very unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. I called to reschedule my appointment and she basically REFUSED to reschedule me around a time that was convenient for me.I am a mother, a wife and I also work full time I have a schedule to balance so to basically tell me when I need to be seen and then to cut me off while I am speaking and to yell at me when I am just trying to be seen by Dr.Freedman was extremely unprofessional.So after I finally scheduled something after all of the back and forth of her TELLING me what I need to do for ME.I decided to call back to speak to the office manager to report her disgusting and poor behavior & to my surprise the office manager was Carol.So I began to tell her how she made me feel and even in that conversation instead of being apologetic she was rude and dismissive, she kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me finish my sentence. Then she tells me she is going to cancel my appointment because “WE” got off to a bad start, no she started off bad.But for her to have the audacity to cancel my appointment as if she was going to be my Doctor or as if I was the one who offended her as she did me was really beyond me and disappointing.If doing something as simple as making an appointment for a future client was to much for her to handle then she should not be working there maybe year 39 isn’t in her future maybe year 38 should be her year of retirement. After some thought I was glad she canceled my appointment because if she is the representative of how they treat clients I would never want them to do anything for me.If she is who is trusted with the people then I am more then afraid of how the doctors behave. I will definitely report her to who referred me and also to my employer.I didn’t want to leave ANY stars because even 1 star would be considered too much .I will never recommend this office to anyone. Good place of business.

I have to say, this office has a wonderful staff, an two very wonderful doctors! It mite take a while for the your visit to end, but they do a very through job an explain everything to your understanding! Keep up the good work!!@

It is true that they take their time. I always thought that was because he has the same quality service with all his patients as with us. He does a very concious exam and he takes his time looking for any abnormalities. I really like the way he treats my teen daughter and how he comunicates about her condition and the type of exams he is using.We went to many doctors before.My kid needed more than just glassed and the doctor had the experience to tell. I have been going to this Doctor all my life. I love the doctor, but the "lady" that answers their phone is so rude that now I will not be going back. It's a shame.

If there is a problem he will find it. We have gone to him for years and he is the most knowledgeable and skillful ophthalmologist that we have ever had.

I woke up with a headache and visual impairment. I was only able to see half of what I normally see. I went to Dr. Friedman's office and they worked me in quickly. Dr. Friedman told me that my eyes were fine but that he thought I was having a stroke. He wrote a note and sent me to the ER. Sure enough I was having a stroke. Today was my first visit with Dr. Freedman. I was told ahead of time that i would be there for a while since we we doing lots of testing on my eyes. The entire staff was friendly, and they were very understanding of my baby who had to accompany me. Despite a few meltdowns from my baby, the staff stayed curteous and one nurse even helped when i couldn't hold him for a minute. I'll admit that the wait was less than desirable, but i can't name 1 doctor I've ever seen that didn't have a wait. The waiting room is on the smaller side, but people were getting called back relatively quick, so it didn't get overcrowded. Overall, the appointment was great. Excellent always.

My husband has been a patient for about a year. We've had fairly decent appointments with Dr. Freedman until today 05/28/2019. Dr. Freedman was very insensitive, rude, disrespectful, condescending, & extremely judgemental. We've done all Dr. Freedman has instructed. My husband has Type 2 Diabetes & was scheduled to have cataract surgery last Nov., but it was canceled because of his blood pressure (BP). His medication was adjusted which did helped, nowever, it was high today & Dr. Freedman called us disrespectful for not making an appointment sooner. I'm a middle school teacher & my husband is on disability & can't drive. I explained that I lost my mother in April. I had to fly to LA twice in two weeks. He didn't offer any condolences & told us if we can't get his BP under control, we can start over somewhere else. We spent 2.5 hrs in his office only to be offended & insulted. His insensitivity & lack of professionalism were inexcusable. We're done with Dr. Freedman, period!

Dr. Freedman is an excellent caterac Opthomoigest, he is very thorough. He is very kind and explains the procedure in lamens terms. Personally I believe he is in the top 10. His staff is wonderful and know their job well. Sincerely Laura Moore

3 hours total at this facility for an exam. Dr. Freedman did not take the time to explain things to me as other doctors usually do. I was asking a question and he cut me off to talk over me. Toke my grandmother here for her yearly eye check up. Appt at 3 and didn’t leave until 6! Was told to come back again to see the optometrist and to schedule for first appt so she wouldn’t have to wait....guess who is waiting?! They have two waiting rooms! First wait is to see the nurse and the second wait for the dr.

I had cataract surgery in the 80's and Dr. Freedman has had care since the 90's. has been very complete and excellent. Explains everything and the do's and don'ts to protect my vision. Has stressed that I need to take care of my good eye. I am very comfortable with his care and recommendations.
