Dr. Cao was very friendly so as the staff. He took his time with me and answered all my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all unlike other doctors I have seen before. I finally found a wonderful primary care doctor.

There are some really hateful people writing hateful reviews on here. I have been going to this office for about 4yrs now and some things I am reading are ridiculous and slanderous about this doctor....and to say that he is committing insurance fraud is slanderous and just shows that someone is going out of their way to try to paint this doctor in a bad light.... In my experience, I have never been asked to come to extra appointments..... I go to my regular appointments....that's it. people claiming that he is rude, abrupt, unprofessional and gets agitated.... Not true. From day one, he has been kind, compassionate and patient. I have referred people to him because of the way he and his staff are professional and kind. I cant believe someone complained about filling out paperwork....really? Let the office reps do their job....they have to have you fill out paperwork. people will complain about ANYTHING! The focus should always be on the level of care....Dr. Cao's level of care is excellent. All that a person should want is a professional, compassionate doctor....he is that. He will diagnose and treat.....he order labs and bloodwork for you if needed....the office CALLS YOU BACK, to discuss results of bloodwork and tests which is MUCH APPRECIATED.....they follow up with you when they say they will....they send appointment reminders.... and if it is something that requires another doctor, he will definitely refer you to who you need to see. I have been a patient of Dr. Cao for the last 5 years. I have to say reading some of these reviews claiming he does not listen apparently you were not listening when he speaks. When you describe to him some of your symptoms he will refer to seeing the similar things when he was working in the er. Not saying he is working in the er. I have numerous things wrong medically with me and he does everything he can to treat what he is licensed to treat otherwise refers me to the professionals in that field. Never have I heard him be rude or condescending, always compassionate. I have referred my own adult children to his office. He and his staff put the patient first and foremost. Dr. CAO has been my primary doctor for several years. He's been helpful on keeping me on the right blood pressure meds. Always there to help me through my illnesses and accidents .

This is the absolute worst doctor I've ever had the displeasure of meeting in my life. He doesn't listen to his patients and treats them based on his own personal assumptions without even bothering to look at reports from specialists. He is arrogant and extremely rude. He will cut a patient off in the middle of a sentence and talk over them with his own misinformed opinion. If you value your life, stay away from this doctor. If I could have left no stars i would! He is extremely unprofessional and i am positive he is only forcing appointments for insurance. I have been to many Doctors in my life with my health. I travel for work and needed a local doctor, boy was this the worst choice ever! My husband and I both are so happy to be leaving Louisville in 2 weeks so we no longer ever have to deal with this for lack of better wording "hack" of a doctor! He is committing insurance fraud! I am puzzled by all these positive reviews. In fact, one of the reasons I picked this doctor was because of these good reviews. What a disappointment. The red flags began as soon as I arrived for my appointment and was handed a sheaf of paperwork that was like taking a long standardized test-you fill in the dots in answer to personal health questions so that your answers can be fed into a computer. The office staff was courteous but very abrupt. At the time I was the only patient in the waiting room and I was feeling pretty sick and in much pain. I have an unexplained neuropathy that causes the entire surface of my skin to intensely sting and burn will the no discernable cause. I feel extremely ill with flu-like symptoms and periodic fevers. The staff was definitely not focused on patients as much as they were paperwork. I realize that the government and insurance companies have invaded healthcare and threatened health care providers in a way that has put a huge burden on them to document everythiing but I still have an expectation that I will be treated like a human being rather than an inconvenient reason for paperwork. Even if Dr Cao couldn't treat me himself, I was hoping to at least get some guidance or a referral to another doctor. Dr. Cao entered the exam room, sat down and opened his laptop. He faced away from me reading what I presume was the computer profile generated by the paperwork I had filled out. I tried to explain what was going on with me. He seemed to get increasingly agitated. I handed him the blood work and other diagnostic tests that I had brought with me and he immediately put it down without reading it. I picked it up and held it out and asked if he could just look at it and tell me what he thought. He pushed it aside and said "Lab work changes. You can't go by that. It doesn't mean anything." I had very recent lab work that over the course of a year and a half, showed a pattern that something was wrong. It wasn't just one lab test but multiple blood panels etc. Up until that point, I had held it together pretty well with a smile but as soon as he said that I couldn't help it; I began to cry. I fought for control as I know better than to get emotional like that. You won't be taken seriously. It's just that I have been so sick and in so much pain for so long and have been shuttled from doctor to doctor. I just needed a little kindness. A little help. I had hoped that he might at least send me to someone who could try to figure out why I am so sick even if he didn't know. When I burst into tears, it elicited from Dr Cao, not a response of compassion, but instead he immediately became more irritated. He raised his voice and said "I don't know what that is (referring to the symptoms I told him about)!" He then continued saying "I'm too old, I don't know what that is! I work long hours!" He repeated "I'm too old! I have to work in the ER then come here!" I was so taken aback by his outburst that I did not know what to say. I then calmly said: "Well I am very sorry about that. I don't expect a miracle, I just need help. Is there anyway you could maybe refer me to someone who might be able to help me?" Dr. Cao said "No! I don't know what that is!" Repeatedly saying the same thing. It was strange and disconcerting. He then said "Your blood pressure is high!" And proceeded to prescribe a blood pressure medication that I was already taking. I took my useless script, left his office, made it home and got back into bed, totally wiped out. I don't think Dr Cao is a bad person. He simply seemed overwhelmed. Instead of taking out their frustration on patients, perhaps doctors need to band together and stand against the dehumanizing policies that are being set forth by the government. I would strongly advise you to seek another physician and avoid this obviously stressed-out doctor who stated in his own words: "I'm too old! I work long hours in the ER then I come here! Dr.Cao is a good caring doctor and really tries to find out what's wrong.

Dr Cao is very detailed and spends time with patients. I really like his bed side manners and down to earth attitude .

It's my Doctor Office and your in and out most of the time and very close to home...

Love the staff. Dr Cao is great. Office is easy to get to and on appointments you are in & out. Labs are done right there and any tests not done in office are done right next door. Will recommend to anyone needing a great family doctor.

I switched to this office from Dr Arla and I LOVE them. I have all ready got my cousin to switch to this office and I'm thinking about moving my 13 year old daughter to them as well.

My son has been struggling with health issues and as answers have been slow to come, it is not much fun going to a doctor's office. Dr. Cao has been a godsend. He is witty and compassionate, never fails to get a smile out of my son (something somewhat rare) and takes his time making every effort to get to the root of the problem and help him. Dr. Cao is a rare gem these days. I can't recommend him highly enough.
