My mom was told that she was developing cataracts and went to Dr. Villani's office. I accompanied her for every single consultation (including surgery at an outpatient facility). I can only say that Dr. Villani is extremely personable, down-to-earth, well mannered, respectful and knowledgeable. I had cataract surgery in first one eye and the second 3 weeks later. Working with Dr Villani was reassuring and comfortable. And everything went very well from the office experience through the surgery and after care. I felt I was in very good hands with his expertise and communication. I had postponed the surgery and was hesitant because of thinking of eye surgery. I did not realize how bad my eye sight was until after surgery when everything was bright and clear and colorful. Horrible service, very unprofessional, office personnel are terrible and doctor's assistants don't know what they are doing!!! Will not recommend this Doctor to anyone.

Making an appointment took several phone calls. We arrived to the appointment only to discover that the doctor had moved. My mother is in a wheelchair and on oxygen - it shouldn’t have happened.

I get my glasses prescription exam done here regularly and I LOVE it. The assistant was very knowledgeable in what she was doing. Also a very clean environment.

If I could rate him 10 stars, I would! I brought my grandmother to Dr. Villani as soon as she began complaining of seeing flashes of light out of nowhere. As soon as we came in, we were greeted by his very friendly receptionist and seated in the waiting room immediately. From the moment Dr. Villani entered the exam room, he put my grandmother at ease who was convinced she was going to lose her vision. Dr. Villani conducted a very thorough exam to make sure that all was well with her optic nerve. Once he finished, he explained to her the course of treatment that she needed to follow and let her know when to come back in. As a diabetic, Dr. Villani has been my doctor for several years, plus performed cataract surgery on both eyes. I find him very knowledgeable, and answers all my questions promptly, and in a friendly manner. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Villani performed cataracts surgery to restore sight to my right eye. Comparing this surgery with my previous one (left eye), I must admit that this one was absolutely painless. In fact, I barely remembered any of it at the conclusion of the procedure. Naturally, the use of mild “twilight” sedation helped, and I strongly recommend it. Something that was not offered to me during my previous one at the hands of his partner (whom I recently discovered had suddenly retired). His staff appears to be very professional. Dr. Villani’s manners are impeccable. My eyesight was back to normal as the moment they removed my patch (next day). A week later, he gave me the green light and I will see him again in four months. Nearly a month after surgery, my eye is completely back to normal with absolutely no peripheral effects. I strongly recommend him.

My eyes are inflamed, and I had an eye issue years ago when I went to this practice. The doctor I used has since retired, but I decided to go back to Mount Sinai where all my doctors are. Dr. Villani was nice and I initially liked him, however, the medicine he prescribed me after several days did not work. I contacted his after hours service on Saturday at 5pm and he didn't call me back. I called the next day at 10am. He was actually transferred in. He told me he couldn't access my records and to come in again on Monday. Why even have an after hours service? I was in shock that it's almost 2021 and all my other docs have electronic records. Also, he couldn't even see my last visit's doctor notes because those are stored in a warehouse after 3 years and it's been about 3.5 years since the last issue I had where this ointment didn't work for that issue. The staff that I spoke to on the phone are all morons and wasted my time. Go somewhere where they care about their patients.

I would like to highly recommend Dr. Luis Villani in Miami Beach to anyone considering cataract surgery. I visited him a few days ago for my annual checkup and my eye conditions were found to be excellent. The operations in 2015 removed cataracts and installed lenses. The results were excellent long range vision and the possibility of reading hand-held documents without glasses.

I was diagnosed by my optometrist that I had glaucoma and that the intraocular pressure in both of my eye's were over 30 which placed them in an critical condition. My optometrist recommended that I see Doctor Luis Vallani. I have had four surgeries performed by Doctor Vallani. Two for the Glaucoma and two for cataracts. Since the surgeries my pressure has never been over 10 which is unbelievable. The cataract surgeries with the new lens's makes everything seem brighter and clearer and I no longer need glasses to drive with. If you ever need eye surgery I highly recommend Doctor Luis Vallani.

I saw Dr. Villani for the first time today to get a general check up since I'm diabetic and I had a great experience. Everyone was so polite from the moment I got there, and I was called in pretty fast. I was tested for glasses and the doctor himself was very friendly and good sense of humor.

Felt like an analphabet - was mostly referred to in spanish and by my first name in a very demanding way, could not understand commands the first time. felt rushed,and just being another unwanted number in an unhappy day in a doctor's office, where even employees rush around, being probably afraid to say a friendly word, or answer a question.
