This was my first time seeing Dr. Montalvo-my overall experience was an excellent one. I found him to be very thorough and extremely informative. He took his time and answered any and all questions/concerns that I had. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a podiatrist.

We went to visit Dr Montalvo the first time based on # of good Google reviews. We didn't wait long at all to see Dr Montalvo. Dr. Montalvo was thorough and gave us good advises on taking care of the foot fungus issues. We would highly recommend Dr Montalvo.

Dr Montalvo is a gem , he is kind, caring will listen to your concerns and treat you with respect.He is a perfect blend of competence and compassion that great physicians are made of. Dr. Montalvo is a knowledgeable and caring Doctor. I would highly recommend him for anyone with foot or ankle issues.

So far so good . Very professional very honest . I will know more after I do the surgery to remove these neuromas hope it’s easy .

Dr. Montalvo is highly knowledgable, friendly, and takes the time to discuss conditions and causes. As a new patient who has neuropathy, I needed to find a doctor I could trust, and he is certainly the one. He was able to identify the problem and effectively and efficiently treat it. His receptionist is welcoming and helped me to squeeze in an urgent appt. It's a pleasant environment and they make a great team. Dr. Montalvo has a wealth of experience and knowledge in his specialty. He is also very friendly and takes time explaining conditions and causes. Having neuropathy, I was unsure what was happening with my toe/foot. He took the time to test and rule out serious issues, then was able to identify and treat the problem efficiently and effectively. His communication style is clear and he clearly cares. I can see why his patients keep coming back. I sure will!

Dr Montalvo always takes care of my many “foot” issues with ease. He takes his time and explains the situation at hand. Best Doctor in his field in my opinion.

Dr. Montalvo was very thorough and informative. He immediately offered a treatment plan with follow up. He's definitely first-rate and approaches his work with heart and a sincere care for his patients. I felt completely at ease with him and knew I came to the right place. I twisted my right ankle yesterday night as I stepped into a hole on the pavement of the street. Today at work, my colleagues showed me the severity of a foot injury and referred me to a foot doctor. I called and made the appointment immediately. After work, I went to Dr. Luis Montalvo. I was greeted with a well mannered lady who asked me to fill out forms and provide my insurance card. She then quickly input all info and I was in to see the doctor within 5 mins of my appointment time. The doctor greeted me and asked me to sit at the chair. He then quickly examined my foot and then asked me to collaborate with him to take some x rays. He was professional and delicate in handling the x rays and the results. He explained the results and gave advices on how to proceed and care for the sprain ankle. He also wrapped up my sprained ankle to give it support. Within 20mins into my appointment, It was all done. I am thankful for such a great doctor in Brooklyn. I am grateful to my colleague who recommended him. Excellences ! I truly and highly recommend him to ALL! I want to start by saying that after searching for the best podiatrist one can find, I saw that Dr. Montalvo had great reviews from his patients and so I took the chance and made an appointment for my mom. When he met my mom and assessed her, Dr. Montalvo immediately identified the problem on her foot. She had a severe case of infection “Necrotic Fasciitis”. He said please go the Emergency Department immediately. He made phone calls to the hospital and they asked that she come right away. My mom had emergency surgery the next day. Had she waited another day, she probably wouldn’t be here today. So thank you Dr. Montalvo for your caring approach to my mom. I certainly recommend you as one of the best Podiatrist in Brooklyn! I’m actually surprised Dr. M is a Dr. He is definitely not about money, but what is right for his patients! After taking X-rays, to both our surprise was really messed up bones that should have been fixed when I was a child. Since that was not the case, my tibia has turned causing my knees and hips (along with Auto Immune Diseases) to deteriorate causing constant severe pain! Instead of jumping to extremely painful surgeries like every other bone dr I have seen, he gave me several other things to try. None of which make him any money. I just recently moved to Brooklyn and my main concerns were finding new drs. Had I known there was Dr’s out there actually just humans like Dr. Montalvo I would have switched Drs years ago! He has restored my faith in modern medicine and humanity itself. Also, his receptionist is a true sweetheart! Dr Montalvo was very open and straight forward with me. Giving me research, data, and discussion the different options with me. He also seriously listened to my concerns and needs and never once tried talking over me or anticipating what I was going to say.

Dr. Montalvo was very sweet with my daughter. He could have sold us expensive orthotics but was honest and said they weren’t necessary! He was very thorough. I highly recommend him!!!

I have RA, I went to see Dr Montalvo and he was very compassionate and very knoldegable and advised me one some of my eating habits and took care of my pain and two weeks now and still felling great. I couldn't be more pleased to have him as my doctor. I would recommend him 100.

Dr Montalvo saved me from years of bad treatment on my feet. He explained that the orthotics i had been wearing and stressing about for years were not neccessary and thoroughly explained why. Cares about his patients not the money. Would reccomend him to everyone...a great doctor and a good guy .
