I went and was talked down to and told how disgusting and fat I was. (I had lost 30 at the time now im down 65) I was then told to go off my meds I dont need them and once I mentioned another medical condition I was nastily told I needed mayo clinic not a cardiologist. I gave the same energy back which he did not like and the appointment was canceled in the middle. Months later things changed and low and behold I have bigeminy episodes diagnosed with pots and inappropriate sinus tach and now on the right meds that control my heart rate . Looks like that big word pots wasn't so big after. If you are struggling to be diagnosed and or overweight and trying to be healthier dont go here. He deserves ZERO stars. My brother took my Mom here and this Dr was in jogging pants..Well ok we can deal with that, sorta. He was abrasive, and he made my Mom cry. We took in BP readings for his review and he did not want to see any of them. If you want to get better (my Mom does) do not go to this doctor. He should not be treating anyone. This is the worst doctor anyone in our family has ever experienced. HE IS AN AWFUL PERSON. We will pray that God softens his heart and blesses him. He deserves ZERO stars. I took my elderly mother to Dr. Carrillo seeking treatment for her high blood pressure and low heart rate. The MA was kind, compassionate, and willing to listen to the reason for our visit prior to the doctor coming in. We brought her blood pressure readings dating from May 16 - June 2 of which he did not care to look at. About 5 minutes into the visit he started questioning us why she was not being seen by a pulmonologist. The visit then turned HORRIFIC. He was talking fast and asking a question in a verbally abrasive manner which startled my mother and she was not able to answer him. He then got in her face raising his tone telling her to answer him and yanked his mask down repeating himself in a very unprofessional manner. It upset her so bad that while crying she told him that what he did made her not want to even get help from him. At that time he said you can leave. NO APOLOGY. He showed no empathy and had the worst bedside manner I have ever seen in healthcare. He was asking us medical questions and I responded that you are the doctor and we were there for his help. I questioned him about a blood pressure pill that she used to take which was 120 mg and that now she was now only taking 25 mg. Our concern was that is a big difference in dosage but was told not to worry about it. He then told her stop the metoprolol and he would refer her to a vascular Dr. for a separate issue. He took one of her pill bottles, forgot to give it back, and sent us on our way saying to come back in 6 weeks. I would not go to this Dr. or refer anyone to him! No empathy for the situation the patient has when the patient first calls to make an appointment as a new patient. It really didn't matter much to have high blood pressure and high cholesterol, with headache and neck pain. Although my health insurance is PPO and I do not need a referral, I should seek to have contact with the primary physician first, and when they send the lab results and record to them, then this doctor's office would call me for a medical appointment. Very unfortunate this situation, thanks to the receptionist. I can be sure that the doctor is unaware of this process that his employees do.
