After a routine appointment with Dr. Davis in June 2022, she promised to call in my usual prescriptions. She neglected to do so, even after numerous calls/reminders. After 6 days without the medications I had been taking for several years under this doctor's supervision, I experienced seizures, dangerously high blood pressure and had to call 911 for help. Ultimately was charged $22,000 for ER and hospital expense due to this doctor's carelessness and inefficiency. This office is understaffed and VERY poorly managed. Will be going elsewhere for healthcare.

I have never written a Google review but I’m not sure I’ve ever encountered such horrible service. I have been a patient here for two years and still have never seen Lucy Davis herself. You get pawned off to a PA or a nurse. But the worst part of this practice is the support staff. I’ve waited weeks for them to issue a refill on routine meds. Loved the fact that my mother-in-law is bound to a wheelchair and oxygen, and the office is on the second floor, and the elevator doesn't work. Don't put your office on the second floor if you only have 1 elevator

I don't know what has changed here but my recent experiences have been some of the worst interactions I've ever had with a medical facility in my life. I can't even get a prescription refilled properly. Even one, prescribed by them, that I have been taking for years. I'm changing doctors. Have them a 1 star because I cannot hold any lower. Absolutely no point in making an appointment for this office because you will WAIT upon arrival, be taken back to a room just to WAIT again. The “office manager” Mara, was of NO help, she showed no management skills whatsoever. Most of the staff is unhappy, and they’ve even made comments in regards to the terrible service provided at this office. This is literally the worst doctors office EVER you guys make Daniel Island look bad. A complete disgrace. If I could give this office 0 stars I would. I called in November to schedule a yearly physical with Dr. Davis and was able to get an appointment in January at there earliest. I was told to come in at least 5 days prior to do Labs. When I showed up they said Labs were not ordered and they will do that on the day of my appointment. I showed up to my appointment 15 mins early, it was 30 mins of waiting I went to ask what the hold up was. I was told she was running behind and there is still one person in front of me. Another 20 mins pass and I go back to the front and tell them I want to reschedule because I haven't eaten and it is now 12:20, the reception asks if I was getting blood drawn because the lab closes at 12! I have been going here for years and called to make sick appointment today and they said they could no longer see me because I had been to one of their other locations. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. No one told me that if I saw another doctor at one of THEIR locations that I couldn't come back. Makes absolutely no sense. Very unprofessional. I've been lucky enough to have Dr. Lucy Davis as my GP since her opening. She is the most compassionate physician I've ever dealt with - personally and professionally. Yes, her practice is busy and there may be a wait but it's because Dr. Davis, Brandy and the entire staff actually take the time to hear your concerns. Dr. Davis doesn't run into the room, look at you and then walk out within 5 mins. She sits with you and helps. This isn't a fast food restaurant, this is a local physician who cares about you and your family. I've been lucky enough to have Dr. Lucy Davis as my GP since her opening. I have been attending this practice for at least 8 years. Dr.. Davis and her staff work very hard to be able to spend time with each patient. Those of you that can stand to wait for 15 maybe 20 minutes till your seen, is normal. I will admit sometimes there are delays. Think to yourself, the Dr. Maybe she is with a complex patient Dr.'s, PA,'s NP's right down to the front office staff and manager. Some new faces and things have been running smoothly. So you people that expect to be seen right away and only go to the Dr. once a year..maybe never...try living through a massive Widowmaker Heart at 33 yrs old, and in the heart failure and transplant clinic. I've been going here for years. The whole team is great! I've never had a bad experience, they are always responsive and take the time to answer any questions I have. Most times I have an appointment I dont wait for more than 10 minutes to be seen... on occasion the office is really busy and with that the wait times are slightly longer... Regardless I think the team does a wonderful job and they deserve recognition for their efforts. So I just want to say Thank you and you guys rock! I've been going here for years. Telephone contact with the office is nonexistent, they very seldom answer. There is a constant change in office staff. Extremely long wait times... Example: I checked in at 4 PM for a 4:15 appointment to see nurse practiconer. Waiting room was empty...the office began its evening shut down process, staff leaving. Made an appointment 2 months ago as I have been searching for a new GP. Showed up and they had canceled my appointment without notifying me. They were not accommodating on trying to reschedule and didn’t seem too concerned with wasting my time. Will be finding another GP.

Horrible primary care physician. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Last two times I have been here I have waited 1 hour each time just to be seen by a nurse. Then more time to be seen by the physician. Physicians are mediocre at best. Was looking for information regarding traveling to a malaria prone country and the physician provided minimal helpful insight. Had one visit, and although that went well...the effort to fight for a prescription being filled despite already discussing it was frustrating. I had to speak to the operator line 5 different times before the last operator actually took down the desired pharmacy and made sure I received something before the end of the day. The pharmacy said the profile came in blank and they had my first name incorrect which was caused more confusion. Although you are seen by a provider, good luck on actually getting a call back to explain your lab results thoroughly like a regular physician’s office. They’ll leave a one sentence notation despite many flag indicators on the lab results through the patient portal. One operator told me if something was alarming, it would have been notated. Why does that matter? I have a right as patient to discuss my results thoroughly. Short experience but it will be my last one. Do not recommend. Martha Fetcher has been my nurse practitioner on Daniel Island and she always provides the upmost care and goes above and beyond!

I have had nothing but great experiences with Palmetto Primary Care. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Davis and the entire staff has always been wonderful and attentive. I have never had a bad experience and am so grateful for the whole crew.

This practice has declined signficantly. I have been a patient here for 6 years but am leaving due to their horrible management. Lucy Davis and Martha Fletcher are wonderful health care providers, but the billing practices and scheduling here are horrid. They charged $195 for a flu test that every other practice in town charges $17 for. The front desk staff are unprofessional, and the wait times are at least 30 minutes, even for an annual physical. This office is 3 minutes from my house, but I'd rather drive across town to a practice that actually values their patients. This practice has declined signficantly. Hands down the worst physicians office I have ever visited. The Daniel Island location, where I went, continuously double and triple books their MDs (multiple staff confirmed this), so wait times are long (1+ hours with an appointment). You can get a faster appointment by seeing the PA Kaleigh Scherick, but beware, she provided zero follow up on my test results. I was referred for two important ultrasound scans, both of which discovered abnormalities. I had to call three times to get my basic results and never once spoke to the PA, only to admins. All results delivered by admins who couldn't answer my questions even though the test results were abnormal. The PA couldn't make time to talk to me on the phone. Their referral department is backed up - it can take up to two weeks to get a referral to a specialist. I later spoke with the office manager Amy, who seemed very concerned about my experience and promised to call me back. Guess how that turned out? She never called back. There is at least one person here, a nurse named Fern, who really seems to care about patients and their health, but there are so many uncaring people along with a disorganized communications process and a broken scheduling system, that this office seems dysfunctional beyond repair. I now have to jump through more administrative hoops to get a copy of my medical records so that I can take them to a new physician. There are plenty of healthcare choices, I strongly recommend seeking treatment elsewhere - this place can jeopardize your health. Hands down the worst physicians office I have ever visited. Extremely disappointed with service. We are new to area and I was excited that we could go to a provider that was conveniently located, however the office is awful to communicate with. When scheduling my appointment, the office did not answer my questions regard annual appointments versus sick visits versus new patients. And of course after seeing the provider, the coding was incorrect and I have spent weeks trying to fix the error. Every time I call I am on hold for 30 mins. The office has been extremely unhelpful.
