There was confusion over my appointment date, causing me to show up on the wrong day. The doctor I was supposed to see wasn’t there. I was very frustrated because I was in pain and didn’t want to wait another week. Dr Jurist offered to fit me into his schedule. I was so relieved! He was great! He has a great sense of humor, which put me at ease. He was an expert at dealing with my condition. I feel confident that I am getting the best care. The whole office staff is great too. The check in was brief and very cordial. The Doctor was right on time. He was familiar with my problem and offered the options open to me. Went for 2nd opinion and he was very helpful and very through . I was glad that went to him regarding my hand and he did the necessary test before making a decision for surgery.

This is the third hand and wrist condition Dr Jurist has helped me with. He is always cheerful, knowledgeable, and practical. Unlike many surgeons he is delightful with patients. All of the doctors in the office were very efficient and nice! I was in and out in about 15 minutes! I appreciated everyone’s thorough and quick help.

When I had a sudden infection in a finger New England Hand Associates were able to fit me in immediately. Dr. Jurist diagnosed the problem and was able to remove a foreign body from my finger. He was very competent and assuring during this procedure. A week later with his help and antibiotics my finger is completely healed. I would not hesitate to see Dr Jurist or Dr Brunelli or any Doctor at New England Hand for any hand or upper extremity issues. Staff were courteous and thorough in arranging necessary surgery. Dr. Jurist clearly laid all options, non-surgical and surgical. I felt no pressure to do surgery but chose it as the better option. Surgery went smoothly at out patient at Milford Regional Hospital I recommend the practice.

I’ll start by saying that the staff is very friendly. I had no issues with anyone being rude. I took off a few stars because I felt that my issue wasn’t taken seriously. The doctor was nice enough, but when I explained that it wasn’t a workers comp. issue to needing surgery, that it was no longer valid. I was in and out of the appointment in 7 minutes. While I know he wasn’t going to be able to fix it right there, I expected to be able to at least ask some questions about how I can help prevent further damage but I never got the chance. The only thing he told me was to start PT. I had waited a month for this appointment. I would have started PT weeks ago without this appointment. The doctor was smart but I feel like he only wants to work with patients who need surgery, and since I didn’t need it, I couldn’t get the time of day. I felt the appointment was not worth my time. I had an extremely positive experience with Dr. Jurist and his team. He is very personable, actually quite funny, and speaks in a language a lay person can understand. He is the leader, and it shows. His entire staff followed suit, being extremely personable, respectful, NEVER spoke down to me or made me feel I was just another patient. Now, let's see how the surgery goes. My appointment with Dr. Jurist was timely and pleasant. He listened to me as I described my hand issues, ordered x-rays (which are done on premise), and then discussed the findings in terms that were easy to understand. I would highly recommend Dr. Jurist to family and friends!

I would NOT recommend this facility or doctor. I was 13 minutes late on a raining, snowy day during traffic and was rudely greeted followed by being rushed through paperwork, the exam process by the intake evaluator, and was made to feel as though my hand injury was "no big deal". Furthermore , the evaluator and doctor minimized my symptoms. I was also rushed through the evaluative process and the administration of a cortisone shot in my thumb joint which was introduced to me by the warning, "this will hurt like hell" but not offering any additional support through the procedure. I am a seasoned veteran of medical procedures and I have NEVER experienced such poor service and "bedside manner" from a doctor and his staff before. I would NOT recommend this facility or doctor. Broke my wrist on a fall. Saw Dr. Jurist on a Monday. Surgery the next day. Healing as expected. Office is well run and pleasant to work with.

I saw Dr. Jurist about a tennis injury and pain and triggering of my thumb. He was able to diagnose the problem with a physical exam and xray. He offered some options for treatment and I chose cortisone shots. The shots were no fun at all, but I am now back to playing tennis pain free. Hopefully this will be a permanent fix.

I had an unfortunate mishap outside of the country so arrangements were made for an appointment upon return to evaluate casted wrist fracture. Dr. Jurist and staff were prompt, personable and professional every step of the way through the initial evaluation to surgical intervention decision making to scheduling and post-op care. OT Natalie deserves special mention. Her "tough love" approach to stretches/exercises worked well to get me back to flexibility and function within a reasonably short time. 15+ years ago Dr. Jurist reconstructed my mangled left hand so well that I later took up the banjo. This time the right path was patience while my tendon healed itself. Thank you!

Visit was great. No wait. Saw me at my scheduled time. Moved through the process (checkin, nurse, X-ray, consultation, checkout) efficiently. All the staff were friendly and professional. Dr Jurist spent ample time with me, was informative, and quite personable. He even gave me a great podcast recommendation.

I scheduled an appointment following an injury to my hand, and he explained what was going on and what I could expect during the healing process.
