He is a great physician. I trust my life and those of my family to him.

The office manager hunt is the rudest woman on earth. Someone should teach her compassion. It not like people enjoy going to the doctors. Hopefully someone will treat her exactly how she treated me. As great as Dr Ditoppa is and he is an excellent doctor. My family has been seen him for years. Hunt's runins his excellence five stars. Been with DiToppa for a about 14 years. He's the best doctor I've ever had. Incredibly knowledgeable and great approaches to medicine. He always spends plenty of time with you as an individual and you always feel heard and not rushed! staff is rude

I called Dr. Lou’s office and Heather answer the phone! She was extremely rude and unpleasant to talk to! She had a bad attitude when I was describing my medical situation. It made me feel very uncomfortable and confused! Heather should not be answering the phones or servicing people! This was the worst experience of my whole life just trying to make an appointment with the doctor! I strongly recommend not using them for your family or friends! Wish I could say I had a visit! But I couldn’t get past the ladies answering the phone. They both which I will not mention names but one receptionist was a new hire and said that what I was asking was far beyond her pay grade???? And the other one was just plain rude! Not really having all the info I was told that he wasn’t the doctor for me! Like really??? Smh my G. I. Referred me to see this doctor! Terrible service and I wouldn’t want to go to this office with these kind of workers.

DITOPPA and his staff will not act ethically if you have a disagreement with him or his staff. DITOPPA’S office never once contacted me to tell me they would not approve my refill. My face is red and scaly. I am critically low on my prescription. I have begun rationing, and diluting it with water while I wait for my first appointment with a new PCP in about a month. I was a patient of Dr. DITOPPA and he was my PCP for approximately 2 years. My problems with Dr. DITOPPA and his staff began in approximately October 2019 with a refusal for treatment, and again in January 2020 with a refusal to refill a prescription. Dr. DITOPPA had prescribed me Elidel Cream in 2018 and again in 2019 for treatment of frost nip on my face while I was deployed to Eilson Air Force Base Alaska. The prescription with refills was usually issued at my annual physical in mid February and would last me for the year. I am assigned to the PA Air National Guard 171st Air Refueling Wing since 2001. I sustained a non-service connected back injury in 2010 which required a lumbar fusion. Occasionally, the Air Force requires me to be seen by a primary care physician to confirm I am able to deploy ( I want to stay in and deploy). On or about October 2019 Major L. JONES 171st Physicians Assistant, advised me my ALC was going to expire, and requested I see my PCP (DITOPPA) for an evaluation. This is not much different than a normal annual physical. I had back and forth phone calls with DITOPPA’S staff when I was attempting to schedule this appointment, and I could tell there was confusion and they were unprofessional. I requested to speak to DITOPPA and that request was denied. DITOPPA’S staff related that DITOPPA is saying I had to go to a Military Doctor for the exam. I advised that is not accurate, and it was the military Doctors who were referring me to my PCP. I requested Dr. DITOPPA speak with Major L. JONES to clear up any confusion as it was a simple task, this too was denied. I advised them that I would be looking for a new PCP. I subsequently paid out of pocket to a different UPMC doctor to have the appointment. I attempted to schedule with a new PCP but due to Insurance I could not go to another PCP until 1 year after my last appointment with DITOPPA in mid February 2020 without having to pay out of pocket. In January of 2020, I attempted to refill the Elidel prescription DITOPPA had prescribed. I had 2 more refills to use before the prescription refill expired in mid February 2020. One refill would have carried me to my next PCP appointment. I phoned in the refill to the pharmacist, and when I tried to pick up the prescription up a few days later it was not ready, I went back again a few more days and it still wasn’t ready. I had to speak to a supervisor who advised me the prescription refill had to be authorized by Dr. DITOPPA. the pharmacist sent the authorization to DITOPPA but DITOPPA never responded. Shortly after I messaged DITOPPA and related the refill had been denied. M. HUNT messaged back and questioned why I needed the refill as I had not used much last year. I related I use the medication daily, and more frequently in the winter. M. HUNT related to check my pharmacy later that day. I contacted my pharmacy later that day and they related that DITOPPA’S office called and is saying I am no longer a patient, and the refill is denied. Keep this in mind if your life depends on your prescription. Or your career depends on a doctor working with you or at the least taking your call.

I’ve been a patient for over 30 years. He is very professional, asks questions and answers mine. Very thorough. Always gets back to you either by calling or through his patient portal. His office scheduling department is willing to make appointments for you for tests that may be needed. I hope he’s around for a long time. It is hard to find a caring doctor like Dr. DiToppa.

Excellent physician always willing to help and always available either electronically through his office or his answering service. Extremely knowledgeable and finds the right MD for special problems.

Dr.Ditoppa is a very professional and caring Doctor. I have referred my friends and family to him.He cares about his patients.

I have been a patient for years I would recommend him to everyone I care about

I would recommend this doctor to a friend. My father had pain and trouble sleeping for months... after numerous visits at the chiropractor he was seen by this doctor who ordered him a full body scan which reveled a broken pelvis! Who would have thought... this doctor is thorough however his staff is ignorant as well as arrogant which are two combinations that are very inappropriate for the medica office. Minus his rude staff he gets 5 stars
