I have been experiencing chronic neck pain for 10 years, and numbness/tingling down my arm and and hand and headaches due to it. This doctor in an initial appointment mentioned surgery or pain management injections could be a solution. At the next appointment In one sentence says you have a bone spur as evident in the X-ray and muscle bulging discs as evident in the MRI but they aren’t bad enough to do anything you can live with the pain; and when it gets bad just take over the counter pain killers. He then gave me a wrist/hand compressor to wear while I sleep and that was it. I clearly have nerve damage and an actual injury but he chose to just send me off. I asked the nurse to please get him back to address the pain management and injections and he never came back and I was told my appointment was over! Crazy!!!!

My mother is elderly. She came in with a lot of pain and went for an MRI. She tried to call numerous times for results and cannot get a live person!!! Totally unacceptable. We still have no idea what is wrong with her.

I had a spiral fracture of my femur. Dr Amorosa performed the surgery and I could not be more grateful for his expertise!! He was tremendous. I was back golf after about 3 months and playing ice hockey after 6 months!! I had a minor surgery (totally unrelated) after my femur fracture and the doctor who performed the minor surgery made it a point to emphatically praise the doctor who performed the femur surgery (Dr Amorosa). If you need a orthopedic doctor due yourself a huge favor and see Dr Amorosa, I’m glad I did!!

Dr. Amororosa Jr was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I am confident in his plan for my recovery. The entire staff and atmosphere was very pleasant. I highly recommend this office.

My injury was explained in simple terms and my recovery plan was determined mutually. He was very empathetic to my pain.

Very helpful and accommodating

Met with Dr. Amorosa today. After reading all my reports, unfortunately he was unable to help me with my problem. He seemed very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Don’t know if this review will help.

Dr. Amorosa always spends time explaining, and re-explaining if need be, my test results and his recommended treatment. I’m having spinal fusion next month and feel confident I made the right choice having him perform the surgery.

Although I didn't like the message, he provided a diagnosis and then recommended against surgery! He gave a first rate rationale for his findings! He was ethical, compassionate yet firm in his recommendations.

I had an appt with a PA but to my surprise Dr Amorosa came into the room and announced he was a spinal surgeon. I told him I was there with worsening sciatica over the past few months. He was very patient and kind. We eventually decided on surgery to correct the sciatica and Dr Amorosa thoroughly explained everything he was going to do and why he was doing it. He asked me several times if I had questions, when I did he answered them thoroughly. I am a nurse practitioner and I can tell you not only is this man gifted as a surgeon but also his bedside manner is parallel to none. After surgery he followed me carefully. He abated my fears when I still had pain post operatively and assured me it should go away in time. GI trusted him fully and the pain did subside as time went on. There are few doctors like Dr Amorosa jr and I would highly recommend him. He is down to earth and has no airs about him. If you see him consider yourself lucky, you won’t be sorry. Truly a 5 star doctor!

I I must say he was very impressive also very truthful I have a 9 and a half hour spine surgery and was very successful everything he said was truthful even when he left One hospital I followed him to the second one when I say God gave him a gift and a very special guest one to appreciate thanks for all what you have done.

Dr Amorosa Jr. is a very kind physician. He had to tell me bad news but was so sensitive to my feelings. He took his time and explained things very well. His bedside manner is impeccable.

He’s a wonderful surgeon I highly recommend him he did my herniated disk replacement surgery and I’m back to normal no more pain I trusted him fully and he cares for his patients he answered all of my questions more he and his staff are just wonderful

Dr. Amorosa is extremely efficient I would consider him an excellent surgeon very caring as well!

I have been under Dr. Amorosa's care since being airlifted to Westchester Trauma Center due to a serious car accident involving multiple serious and extensive injuries. He performed multiple surgeries and monitored my care closely during my lengthy hospital stay and was very attentive and hands-on in my daily care. Thanks to him I am walking today. I trust him implicitly, for his outstanding surgical skills, knowledge, and judgement. He is compassionate, caring, down to earth and respectful.

When Dr. Amorosa walked in for my appointment, he did not even bother to introduce himself or shake my hand. The fast way he conducted my appointment was very impersonal and I was not the least bit impressed. I would recommend you do not visit him.

Would definitely recommend Dr. Louis Amorosa Jr. to family and friends. He is very thorough in his approach and made certain I understood the rationale behind every decision he made regarding my case. He is easy to talk to and willing to answer questions. He took a conservative stance in my case and it proved to be the best course of action for me.

Overall dr. Amoroso is an excellent doctor very informative and I would definitely recommend him.

Waited 3 hrs in a room and he sent me home in 3!minutes I was very disatisfied with my visit not going back
