Dr. Loubert Steven Suddaby

I’ve had 2 successful surgeries by Dr. Suddaby both changed my life. One Laminectomy when I was 40 and another Laminectomy in a different area 2 years ago at 65 sling with a foraminotomy at the same tome. I can’t praise him enough. I’d be wheelchair bound without him.

Doctor said to be hands down is the best neurosurgeon in Western New York! I was injured at work by a forklift had a spinal fusion for micro disconnect two cervical fusions! And I have to say I'm a lot better off now then before she and the doctor! Would definitely recommend him to anyone...????

In 2005, I was one of the first in wny to have L5s1 disc replacement. I walked around for for years with no disc at all which was caused more damage but to have a cage would cause more stress in the other disc. I was 31 when I had my injury in 2001 , and continue to see See him. My disc is still in place. I had been able to function enough and be successful , unfortunately I have had some set backs ( do to the scar tissue and L4 disc that wasn’t the greatest in 2001 ). But all in all that disc replacement helped me extent the my spines “life”. He is a great doctor and wouldn’t trust anyone else ! He continues to educate himself so there is no need to go anywhere else.

I personally have never seen this doctor before. However, I took my mom to an appointment and she came out upset and crying because this man became irritable and left the room after he found out she had seen a different doctor previously. Even if there was a logical reason for him not seeing her, him asking her “so you think you can just come here to be seen?” after she explained she didn’t want to return to previous doctor because he wanted her to have surgery she didn’t want, is totally uncalled for. If you’re going to be a doctor you should care about people’s feelings. I personally have never seen this doctor before. I have been going to him for years.Your not just another patient everyone in the office treats you like family..His bedside manner is like no other .I have refered a few patients to him also.

I trust Dr Suddaby with my care. Him and his staff are doing the best for people in pain. Unlike other good Neurosurgeon Dr Suddabys office can get you an appointment quickly.

Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor, highly recommend that you find another doctor!

Dr Subbady and his staff are wonderful and very competent , very good at giving the patient a clear understanding of procedure they need .The major down side to being treated by Dr Subbady is how he treats patients in pain. While in the hospital 7 hours after opening my back to repair a ruptured disc I was in a great deal of pain , when I expressed how I was in so much pain I couldn't rest at all he refused to do anything about it. I was told by hospital staff that does this to all of his patients. Dr's take an oath To do no harm and to care for their patients yet he allowed me to lie in hospital bed in extreme pain when he had the power to do something more and never gave any explaination. I did not write review in anger but out of concern for other people may choose to be treated by Dr Subbady, although I must say he's "a very talented surgeon". Great doc!!! Won't let anyone else operate on me. I drove from South Carolina to New York twice when I lived there because he is the only surgeon that I trust with my back. he is no doubt one of the best and very well-known and respected.

He is the worse surgeon out there. Did 4 surgeries on me and none worked. He dropped me as a patient when I refused to go to the pain management he wanted me to. I found another surgeon and he had to 8 hour surgery on me to correct the damage he did. Wait time was 1 hour.

He’s the best. I have been seeing him since September 1997. I’m a Captain on the Lackawanna Fire Department. While fighting a fire in an attic of an abandoned building the roof collapsed on me causing a severe neck Injury. Dr Suddaby treated me and in March of 1999 he performed surgery on my c-spine. I returned to work 6 months later. I still see him. He has operated on my lower back from an other injury. Because of Dr Suddaby I’m not in a wheelchair and I am able to lead a normal life.

My girlfriend had this Dr for spine surgery. He is a terrible Dr and a terrible surgeon!!!! He dropped my girlfriend as a patient on her last visit with absolutely NO explanation!!!! When she woke up from spine surgery she had absolutely no pain medication order. She had to lay there in extreme pain until the nurses found someone to write a order for pain meds! He told her many times that she needs to go to a methadone clinic. Implying that she is a drug addict. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS GUY!!!!

Dr. Suddaby did my surgery on June 27, 2018. My nerve is regenerating and feeling is returning to my leg. He is professional and good at what he does. His office staff is exceptionally efficient and pleasant. It was a pleasure dealing with them.

He sucks

He wanted to do a fusion and he knew I had diabetes. He said I might or might not do a surgery test. That was about 2 years ago. I came out and I was crying because I never wanted to do a fusion. Dr Robert Lee lied and said I thinking about a fusion.which i never considered doing one. I am am partially disabled and still walking to this day . I had heart disease which he never told me. I am very happy with Dr Suddaby! He was brought in to review my condition in the hospital. I have continued to see him since. He has not pushed for surgery but has taken the approach to try all alternatives and surgery as a last resort! He is kind and caring. He has always taken his time and explained things. Dr. Suddaby has been wonderful. He's very knowledgeable and we're comforted by the confidence he exudes with his diagnosis.

Dr Suddaby did a fantastic job on my back after an accident at work, I commend him for his professionalism, great Dr patient communication, and after a complicated surgery, i am back to work and enjoying life again with my family and grandchildren. Thank You Dr Suddaby!!!

He was the only Dr. That explained what was wrong and then detailed all the options. Best decision I ever made.

He told me I needed fusion surgery and said he might do a sugar test. He knew i was borline. Having any kind of surgery with diabetes is serious.

I was in terrible pain and was referred to Dr. Suddaby. From the very first visit I was very confident with the course of action he recommended. I recieved surgery on my neck with GREAT success. This is the first time I have been without pain in almost 20 years. My range of mobility has improved . Want to thank Dr. Suddaby as well as all his staff because they are all responsible for how great I feel. Now I can enjoy my life

I was seeing a previous surgeon and had 5 back surgeries at that time. The surgeon himself was great, but office staff had changed and it was like pulling teeth to see the previous surgeon. I had an issue that needed to be addressed, did my research and found Dr Suddaby. I have a medical background of which I informed him. He was straight forward, told me my options - I explained what I wanted done - a plan of care was put into place; and my surgery was done. great results. He will be my surgeon
