Dr. Lori A Lundberg

I saw Dr. Lundberg today for the first time and tried very hard not to be influenced by the online reviews. My personnel observation was that well, definitely not warm and fuzzy. It took quit a bit to get her to speak without first prompting her for a response. One big thing I use to get a measure of a person is eye contact. Our eyes met maybe three times during our twenty minutes together. I've been seeing podiatrists nearly my whole life (64yrs old) and have a very good vision of what a visit should look like and I felt it was somewhat of a cursory exam with just not enough working on my troubled foot time. If you want good care, avoid this practitioner. I cannot express how rudely and unprofessionally I was treated at my first and now only appointment I will ever have with Lori Lundberg. I have a toe I first thought was broken, but my very capable physician believed it had nerve damage and should be seen by a podiatrist. Lori only had the office take x-rays (nerves and soft tissue such as tendons cannot be seen in x-rays) and then said I didn't break the toe (already knew this), but that there wasn't nerve damage. I "probably" had soft tissue damage or tendonitis. She very rudely asked why I took a medication for pain on my list. I told her it was a back injury. She asked how often I took it and I said as needed and she said THAT was the problem, I should take it twice a day along with "medical food" she would be giving me as samples and then a "company" would call me to get the "prescription," but that insurance didn't cover it ... because she was giving me some type of expensive vitamins. Lori did not listen to my concerns. She only touched my foot for a total of a minute and did not seem to understand where the nerve was and disagreed with a highly skilled physician double her age who actually spent more time with my foot in a well office visit than she did for this one. I never wear high heels. I was told to stop wearing them. I always wear flat bottom shoes which have cushion inside and was told to buy shoes exactly like these. When asked when it would clear up, she had no idea and said, "It's only been three months, right?" I told her It was extremely painful and I wasn't sure how long it had been. Lori's answer was it takes time, not anything on how to be more comfortable. Again, this woman did NOT take any of the tests needed to know if I had nerve damage or not and only prescribed Metanx, which isn't medicine but a high-priced vitamin supplement you can only get through a supplier who will reach out to call you. They did the same day, leaving a very odd and again, unpleasant and rude message stating they were calling regarding a "prescription" that could only be handled over the phone so I needed to call them back to get it. It is NOT medicine or a true prescription and has been rejected by watchdog committees online AND shown as INEFFECTIVE in diabetic neuropathy (again, she said I didn't have nerve damage and I'm not diabetic.) It was a HUGE waste of money. Even the older nurse helping was completely unfriendly. Lori was downright rude. I will be reporting this treatment and what is obvious malpractice to the correct channels as this person has no business treating ANY patient if she doesn't herself know how to do a physical test, the correct diagnostic tests, or is prescribing vitamins as medicine for some bizarre kickback she may be getting. I took my daughter to see Dr. Lundberg to treat her multiple plantar warts. She barely acknowledged me and didn't once acknowledge my daughter, who is 11 years old, and her patient. She started to use a scalpel to dig at the warts without any discussion, ignoring my daughter completely when she said it hurt. Dr. Lundberg proceeded to freeze the warts without any informative discussion. I found her to be inhumane, unfriendly and completely unprofessional.

Very unfriendly bordering on curt. Barely examined my hammertoe. Said I was a poor candidate for surgery due to poor circulation in the foot although my Primary Physician, endocrinologist and cardiologist always tell me what good pulses I have in my feet. Wanted to refer me for a vascular stent. Declined and am seeking a second opinion.
