I had a cervical disk that needef repaired and thats exactly what.he did for me.I felt very comfortable with him and was very hapy with the outcome.I thought he was very professional and I would go to him again if was.nesscesary.

My husband went through years of pain to the point of having to set down half way through shaving the pain got so bad. Dr Mouw did surgery March 13th on his lower back and as soon as he woke up from surgery the pain was gone .He no longer has to use his 2 canes, he is standing straighter and can shave , wash dishes or even walk from one end of the house to the other without having to set down because of the pain in his lower back and leg. Dr mouw I had two back surgeries on me and the second one was my fault. He warned me ahead of time it would happen I just didn't listen. His bedside manner is outstanding. And the surgeries went very well with 100% recovery and it was actually not bad at all. In my lifetime if I need another surgery on my back this is the only man I want to do it. I was never "awarded" a visit. His office staff says first he reviews the MRI & determines whether or not you can have an appointment. He only "works one day a week" which I hope is other than at least one day he does surgery. The front office manager informed me on a Tuesday afternoon that he had just gotten done the previous weeks records, mine were on his desk for this week.She said"You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink it." Then suggested I see Dr. Smith if I was in that much pain. I had previously been told by Dr Abernathy not to let "any of the other drs in town" operate. This week I called & was told Dr Mouw hadn't gotten a chance to review any records this week, yet when I told her who I was she said my "primary care office had already been informed he couldn't provide any surgical relief." HOW COULD THAT BE WHEN SUPPOSEDLY HE DID NOT REVIEW MY RECORDS. Drs A & M jointly fused my C7T1 and did an excellant job of giving my life back in 2003.

Dr Mouw had to do my back surgery because Dr. Abernathy stopped doing medicare patients. I personally prefer Dr Abernathy. I had back surgery Nov.19, 2015 and I have had a back ache since also was left with a drop foot , which all i read about it the doctors fault. So my advise is think about it before you go under knife.

Dr. Mouw was very conscientious and diligent with my issues and surgery. I have nothing but high respect and gratitude for him. Great surgeon.
