Dr. Lonny C Skjervheim

I injured my lower back some 25 years ago and have had on-going trouble since. When it would flare up I would be off work for two to three weeks in severe pain and at times I would have trouble walking. Over the years I just resided to the fact that this would be my life until a friend recommended giving chiropractics a try. She then gave me the name of Dr. SKJERVHEIM. I have been going to Dr LONNY 6 years. I started out going three times a week, tapering to two then once a week. He now has me down to a monthly maintenance program and I feel so much better. If you think chiropractics is for you, give Dr. SKJERVHEIM a call, he knows his stuff.

Highly recommend. I've experienced at least 7 other chiropractors between Everett and Bellevue in the past 25 years, and Dr. Lonny is top notch. In the 4 years or so I've visited him, he's never rushed a visit (waiting room not stacked with patients), allows enough time to explain - he loves to educate - what your underlying problems are, how he can help, what actions he's performing, and what you should do (or not do) at home. He's always ready to work out a maintenance plan for chronic (years old) issues - but never pushy. I've received help with acute (emergency) injuries on short-notice... even same day, if you call early on an in-office day. Highly recommend. I have been to numerous chiropractors over the years and Dr. Skervheim is by far the best I have ever been treated by. I have seen him now for over 7 years and not only is he a really great guy personally, his techniques are second to none! I always say that when I leave his office I feel 10 years younger, without fail! I have been using DC Lonnie's services for about 30 years now. There is no other more trustworthy chiropractor services I know of. He takes time to listen to your issues and doesn't rush through your treatment, not like some 'wham bamm' adjustments I've had with others when I've been out of town. Dr. Lonny and his staff are incredible! After years (decades) of neck and back pain from old injuries, chiropractic has helped me when massage, PT, and time didn't do the trick. His treatments have kept a chronic condition from needing regular injections or surgery. I have been going to Dr Sherviehm for over 20 years now and I travel 2hr to see him. He's not only the most qualified Dr because of all the different certifications he has gone through and keeps up. He makes sure that he gives you the best care that you need. He answers you questions and will explain and also show you why and how your pain is effecting you. Dr Sherviehm will go to bat for you in a legal matter as far as being a witness in court . Hes just the best and this is why I keep going to him. I highly recommend Dr Lonny for chiropractic work. He's very informative and explains what he's adjusting and why. He does adjustments both manually and with a tool if you're not comfortable with manual. He has been in the business many years and is very passionate about his work. So far he's adjusted my spine, done some calf/knee work, and straighted out one of my shorter legs. He also prescribes different exercises to do and tools to use at home. Pro tip: if you can, pay with cash, not insurance, you will be able to get better care without the restrictions of insurance which requires you to know what body part needs fixing before you see the doctor. There's only one employee other than the chiropractor, and it's a very efficiently run business. That being said, sometimes the visits run long so sit tight and be patient. It's worth the wait. Lonny starts you on a plan of care and will flex in the number of visits depending on how quickly or slowly your body heals. I've completed my plan of care and am on a monthly maintenance plan now. I have even worked at another chiropractic facility and would go see Dr. Lonnie because of the quality care and knowledge he provides. He has helped me to heal from my back injury as a teenager. I was injured in Iraq from an IED. 6 months in Army medical left me questionable to walk properly, definately never run again. I called 4 local chiro offices. Dr. Lonny was the only one who called back. He is amazing. I wouldn't see anyone else. Although I will still live with restrictions, my quality of life today is better than I hoped, in huge part to Dr. Lonny. I have been going to Lonny for years because he keeps me in good working order and after trying several Chiropractors in the Seattle area I make the drive to Bellevue to see Lonny because he is so good at finding the problem and solving it. He is uniquely talented in using muscle testing or applied kinesiology to get to the root of many problems. One time three years ago I went in with a pain in a new area and he said " This area that I am treating is new for you and has to do with your heart. You should get into your doctor and have it looked into" Of course I didn't and two weeks later I was in the emergency room being treated for a heart attack. It turns out the Chantix I was taking to stop smoking caused the problem according to my cardiologist. If I had listened to Lonny and gone in they would have seen the blockage and put in a stint or given me blood thinners before I had the heart attack. Lonny is far more then Chiropractor he is a true healer. If you live outside of Bellevue he is definitely worth whatever drive time it takes you to get there. When I first started seeing Dr.Skjervheim, I was in an extrem amount of pain, back, neck, shoulders, etc. After the first initials visits, my level of pain has drastically lowered. Continued visits gave me the relief I was looking for, all without having to go to a pharmacy to pick up expensive medication. Dr Skjervheim understands how to fix the body's alignment using feedback from muscular strength. I trust him with my kids. He can adjust the wrist. Knee, ankle, shoulder along with the back. In many cases, his adjustments can save most people from having surgery.

His methods are wonderful and he truly cares about the well being of his patients. Hes done wonders on me, and he doesn't "crack backs", he actually listens and finds the best solution for whatever is happening to your body. When I had extensor tendinitis, he was able to improve the condition immensely (and get me out of the worst of my pain) before I had any physical therapy. I've referred many friends and family to Dr. Skjervheim and they've all benefited from his treatment. I highly recommend him. Dr Lonny saved me from certain disability (herniated disc, bad sciatica, compensatory scoliosis) in 2012. Throughout 2013 we worked on consolidating my improvement. I don't know where I'd be without him. I'd probably have had surgery that didn't turn out well, as too many spinal surgeries do. Nowadays I continue occasional treatments because my neck "goes put" causing neckache & headaches and my right sacroiliac "SI" joint goes out once in a while from my fitness.
