Ghetto and rude receptionist

I have been a heart patient for seven years. I have only seen Dr. Chandra one time. I've never had such bad experience. Since the first visit, I was hospitalized for four days, ambulatory. I have been trying to follow up with the doctor or one of his associates for two weeks. I'm told he's out of town. I have had two follow up appointments cancelled by his office staff. The office staff refuses to contact the hospital to obtain my medical records. I really need a diagnosis and treatment plan. I had many heart tests done while inpatient. I need a cardiologist to read the results and interpret them. Two other specialists I see have easily obtained the records, and I've already seen them. The staff at Dr. Chandra's office are either incompetent or purposefully misinforming me, it's anyone's guess at this point. The first rescheduling of the first October 28th appointment was because they didn't have my records, but are today refusing to request the records from the hospital. They should've sent a request when I made the follow up appointment back on October 14th. There was a two week period. Natalie first called on Monday, to confirm an appointment for today, Wednesday, October 28. I was released on the 14th, and should've been seen sooner. The hospital recommended within the week after discharge. I asked Natalie on Monday if they had the medical records from the hospital, she said they did not. Prior to my being hospitalized, I had an appointment for November 2nd scheduled. I was fine with postponing the Wednesday the 28th appointment and keeping the Monday November 2, appointment so we could get the records. On Monday the 26th Natalie told me that I would need to go into the hospital and retrieve my records. I explained to her that I had difficulty with rides, and knew that the office could do a records request. (I had worked for a doctor for two years and my mother was an audiologist). Yesterday, Natalie called again, trying to reschedule the Monday, November 2, appointment, and tried scheduling me all the way into December. I felt like she didn't remember who I was, so I told her that we had just spoken the day prior, and I cancelled the cab ride I had ordered, and rescheduled another for November 2. I reminded her that I was a was a hospital follow up and really needed to be seen. Natalie kept insisting that I was not a hospital follow up. She started to insinuate that I was lying, and kept very loudly demanding that I tell her my release date, at least three times over. Making me nervous. I kept trying to interject that I was looking for the release papers right then, and she kept overs-peaking, so I'm sure she didn't hear me. It was in a loud and berating manner. I again explained to her that we changed the appointment time and type the day prior. Her tone and the fact that she wasn't aware that I had been hospitalized were very concerning, and I became quite upset in reaction. The call got nastier and nastier, and she hung up. She called back with a November 9th date, and I chalked it up to a bad day, but was uncomfortable with the lack of professionalism. One of the first things this morning, I called the hospital to try and obtain my records. I was told that no one was allowed in due to covid. The woman at the hospital was very accommodating, gave me her name, her extension, and assured me that as soon as she heard from my doctor's office that she would fax the records to my doctor's office, I asked if I needed to sign a release, and she said no. I called Dr. Chandra's office right after that. I talked to Laura (office manager) and she refused to fax or call the records department, and kept insisting I come in to sign. I'm a heart patient and there's covid. I would like to limit my interactions. I'd also prefer not to be around this staff, they make me uncomfortable, but didn't state this. This place is a joke. Out of all the years of seeing doctors I've never had a worse experience. Doctor Chandra is nice but the way this place is ran is unbelievable. The first visit I waited an hour and twenty minutes past my appointment time just to get registered and then another 40 minutes to be seen. My third visit I was the first patient and the only person in the office for a while and after waiting for over an hour I had to leave because I had a previous arrangement somewhere else after which I received a letter from them saying that they are discontinuing our patient/provider relationship. This place is a joke. Out of all the years of seeing doctors I've never had a worse experience. Doctor Chandra is nice but the way this place is ran is unbelievable. Today was my first visit with this doctor. I am glad that I chose him to be my cardiologist and sleep apnea doctor. He accomplished more in one hour than others have in 13 years...Kudos to him and his phenomenal staff. Although my first visit wait time was long, I understand why because he takes his time to check his patients accurately instead of running in and out. Got to appreciate his dedication.

He's been my cardiologist for years. He's very straight-forward and takes time to listen and answer any questions I may have. Treats me like an adult. He's great.

Doctor Chandra is an exceptional doctor.

He's been my cardiologist for many years. Straight-forward, honest, treats me with respect...a really excellent physician and person.
