Just making one phone call this place is incredible unprofessional. I mean just listen to the recording….

Terrible service - couldn't even make an appointment. Tried contacting multiple times - phone gets picked up and immediately placed on hold. I tried emailing and get an auto repsonse to call them. I'll take my services elsewhere.

I was extremely dissatisfied with the Doctor and his staff. I was given an appointment 3 months in advance and sat there for an hour waiting for the doctor to come back from lunch. They know his schedule why are they making appointments when he is not available. Dr Leiva was big on ordering tests but he was extremely bad at actually reading the results. He's the only Doctor I have ever seen who charges for my medical records. I dismissed him as a primary physician for these reasons. I would not recommend him to anyone. This is the practice of making money not health care. They told me they take my insurance- then 6 months later told me they don’t and sent me a huge bill. Will not even let me make an appointment until I pay them. The bedside manner is that of a horror movie. Doesn’t listen, doesn’t care, only spends 5 minutes with you till they are on to the next victim! Do not go to this practice- they need so much “practice “ they should have their medical license revoked for 100 years- then they would probably still suck

They don’t care about the patients my mother is literally dying and it took a week for her to get in! All they care about is money and not the patients. The office staff is horrible!!!!! Now My mother passed away and he has not even cared to call. He was mad that she decided to get hospice care which he didn’t want to refer her to have bcus then he doesn’t get paid anymore by her insurance and 2 weeks later she passed away. Went summer of 2020 concerned over fertility issues, went over blood work and asked for a referral for a fertility test told me no, that it is 99% of the time the woman's fault, then asked if my wife had a STD preventing her from pregnancy, told him no and he said she needs to get her test done first. Fast forward to her getting all her test done I request fertility testing again and he repeats same stance as before and I told him she finished her testing and in order for us to get fertility medicine I had to be tested, so he sends me to quest, I setup appointment and go to drop off, my labs aren't there, call Levia's office and they tell me they expire after 24hrs which I asked why I wasn't informed, so I setup a new appointment 3 days later, go in and quest once again doesn't have lab, call to have them send in and when they get order they informed me they do not do that testing. I have to wait one hour and 25 minutes before the doctor will see me and I request to send the needles for my insulilin prescription to the pharmacy and told I need it for today. They told me will be done immediately. Three hours later went to the pharmacy and they told me they did not received the prescription. I was very upset because I need my insuline every day and I had to pay the cost of it to be able to have it. Went in for an annual physical. In short, the doctor came across as lazy and unconcerned. Did not perform the expected process, and when returning for blood test results, was vague and unhelpful. Further, failed to refer other specialists that were requested, failed to provide an informed analysis of blood test results, and failed to return phone calls placed to the nurse. Waste of time and money!

I was looking for a Primary Care doctor but instead I found a doctor who could care less about my health. He never examined me when I told him I had pain on my left side, which could have been a cyst on my left kidney or the left side of the sacroiliac joint. He never moved from his seat. Finally, he told me I had too many problems and he couldn't be my doctor! He shouldn't be anyone's doctor. Giving him one star is more than he deserves.

I am new to the area and had an appointment on Friday for an initial visit with his wife. Unfortunately, I had a relapse of an ongoing urinary tact infection with a lot of pain on Monday morning. They had me come in and see Dr. Lloyd Leiva. I brought the lab results from my continuing infection and told him which 3 antibiotics I had taken that had not cleared the infection. He insisted on a complete physical which was appropriate. The urinalysis in the office confirmed the infection and he gave me an antibiotic from the same family that I had taken twice unsuccessfully since the last week in August. The antibiotic did not work and I was in continued pain from the infection. I called twice on Thursday and twice on Friday begging for the results of the culture and asking for a different antibiotic. I last called at 3:45pm on Friday, stated the time and said that they would be leaving for the weekend so please call and change my antibiotic. I never got a response.

My family member went to see Dr Leiva. I would definitly NOT recommed it to anyone very rude and unprofessional!!!!!

Extremely disappointed with this doctor. My elderly family member had to wait 3 weeks to get bladder infection testing and treatment ordered. Now waiting for him to sign orders for diabetic supplies sent to his office 2-28-2020. There have been other similar situations to this months prior to the Covid virus. My girlfriend called the after hours service at 6:22 and they told her to expect a call in 30-45 minutes, probably even less. 2 hours later she called back and they said they would contact the doctor again. She called back an hour after that and they said the same thing AGAIN. Then an hour later (10:15 pm) the answering service called her and asked if the doctor had called her so she told them he hadn't, so they said they would connect her with him. They put her on hold and then came back on the line and told her "If you think it's such an emergency you can go to the ER, or call in the morning to make an appointment" The point of the answering service is that there is a middle ground between something that can wait until the next morning and something that is an emergency, and this is something in the middle, urgent. I have been going to Dr. Lloyd Leiva for about 20 years. Since he opened his new practice across the street from healthcare America, wait times can be as much as an hour or more. My last two appointments I waited one hour before I walked out. My last appointment, and probably my last, is when the office manager looked at me and rolled her fists in her eyes as if to mimic a crying baby. I like Dr. Lloyd as a doctor but feel his practice is no longer within my tolerances.

Dr. Leiva has been my doctor for around 20 years now. Has built a large following in Bradenton. My whole family goes to him.

During my last year with Dr Leiva I found to be very informative and helpful in maintaining my state of health and well being. He was very thorough in answering all of my questions and getting after me on some of my bad habits and why I need to make better choices . I would recommend anyone that asks me on his professionalism that he is one of the best I have ever had.

I would be dead if I had listened to him. His level of incompetence is shocking. His bed side manner is horrible and he has no idea how to read blood test results. If you are seeing him, I would urge you to find another physician immediately. He was disrespectful, rude, and did not listen to anything I said.
