I saw Dr. Yao many years ago. I was having trouble getting pregnant and was not producing enough progesterone. I saw him for 3 months and successfully become pregnant shortly after my treatment ended. Many people ask me how do I know it was the acupuncture and I say that Dr. Yao told me to take my Basel temperature everyday while I was being treated. I started tracking my temperature on a chart. My first month was all over the place, the second month, it was obvious that my progesterone levels increased and by the 3rd month, it looked like a normal Basel temperature chart! I was amazed. I was dismissed and told, “nothings wrong with you” and that it’s psychological and personal sensitivity, despite looking at clear evidence that says otherwise. The medical diagnosis of other doctors I’ve seen was also dismissed. However, I was offered injections and treated like I was being given a lollipop when asking about the injection procedure, medicine, risks, etc. I asked if there were risks and was told, “no risks”. In 2016 Dr. Yao helped me resolve a sciatica-like problem in a few visits that had caused debilitating pain for a number of years. I had gone to a number of pain doctors and received minimal relief of severe sciatica like pain before being referred to Dr Yao by my wife's coworker. After a few visits for injections that provided brief relief he asked if I had ever had an x-ray of my hips. I had not and the resulting x-rays indicated that I had osteoarthritis in my left hip and severe osteoarthritis in my right hip. Following the hip replacements I immediately had no pain. It is a hard time to be a person with chronic pain as many doctors are afraid to use medications that would not have been questioned in the past. Dr. Yao is very good at balancing the need for providing competent, conservative pain management with the needs of the patient for relief. Dr. Yao is fantastic he helped me after many other doctors couldn’t. I had severe neck issues and had epidurals , physical therapy. Nothing worked until I saw Dr. Yao. It was trigger points that where so tight in my neck they were pulling my discs out of alignment. He gave me shots into the trigger points and I finally got relief after suffering many years. Horrible. Terrible. Patient abuse. Patient neglect. Nothing short of evil. GAVE OUT PATIENT INFORMATION IN LOBBY. REFUSED TO PROPERLY TREAT.

I have suffered from chronic headaches for a long time. I'd had it with doctors just giving me pain relievers and not really getting to the root of the problem. Dr. Yao took a great deal of time listening to my concerns and together with me deciding on the best treatment. Best of all my headaches have significantly decreased!
