Dr. Burton and staff are extremely polite and caring. Takes time to answer questions and explain procedures. She doesn’t pressure you to have procedures unless you’re 100% comfortable.

I am so happy I trusted all the positive google reviews and booked an appointment at this female run practice! Everyone I came in contact with was incredibly nice and efficient. If you are new to Jacksonville or need a dentist that takes United Concordia TRICARE dental plan look no further. Thank you Dr. Burton, Brooke and Barbara for your great care!

My husband and I needed a new dentist after our old one went corporate (quality and customer service went down as the turnover went high). I have a friend who works in the dental industry and she suggested Southern Smiles. They are wonderful! I love everyone in the office. They are friendly and communicate to us and each other. Everyone is happy to be there and they are a great team. Each person I came in contact with was friendly. The level of service was great. Everyone seems well qualified and I had a good experience. And bonus, they are right around the corner from us!

Dr. Burton is professional and efficient. I had a root canal done with her and I can’t believe how painless it was. The procedure was done very well and my tooth was better in no time.

Ms. Leonara is very thorough and really cares about your teeth. She always provides education and best practices to endure you keep your teeth. The practice as a whole is amazing, and always greets you a smile. Dr. Burton, always follows up to check on you as well. Excellent service from beginning to end!

Dr. Trotter is an excellent dentist but now the practice has been taken over by Dr. Burton who is amazingly kind, patient, smiley, communicative, and supportive. She explains everything she is doing and makes sure you have a chance to digest it and feel good about it. Honestly, all the staff are amazingly kind and nice. I have been very happy coming here and will miss them when I move out of state in the summer. I’m thrilled to be able to come for one more cleaning in June. Leonor, the dental hygienist for the cleanings, is one of my favorite people there and she really taught me how to floss properly. Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better dentist’s office. From teeth alignment changes to filling cavities, I highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!

I just had my first visit and can't say enough good things about this office! The staff and dental assistants were all so friendly, the office is clean and inviting, and Dr Burton went the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable during the exam and provided a great explanation of next steps in my care plan. So so glad I found them. Best dentist experience ever. Highly recommend!

Took way too long for a minor procedure. Typical medical provider backup. That’s what you get when you schedule an appointment later in the day. Dr. Burton is delightful, though!

Dental hygienist is knowledgeable. My mouth always feels so good after her cleanings.

So.. I have a terrible fear of dentists. But ever since I found Dr. Trotter and Dr. Burton my fears of the dentist have totally gone away. I’ve been there for 2 cleanings, x rays and just got 4 cavities filled. Dr. Burton has been my main doctor since I started coming here 4 months ago. Every experience has been so positive, my feelings are accounted for, and they are just really kind ladies. They knew I was really scared of the dentist, but Dr. Burton and her staff made me feel comfortable the entire time. The office is so clean and inviting. I’m really thankful to have found a team that cares so much for their patients!! Thank you Dr. Burton for the headphones while you filled my cavities today, I didn’t even know I needed that! I've been seeing Dr. Trotter and her staff for more than 25 years. I couldn't be more satisfied with their work. They listen to my concerns and present me with options. The office is clean and well maintained with Covid pre-cautions in place. Let me give a more balanced star review of this atrocious dental office. Needed to have my teeth cleaned and I’m newer to the area so I called them to schedule a cleaning and they said they would need to do images first. Which was fine. I asked if they took my insurance and they did so I went in. They took an hour and a half to image my mouth and the dentist said I needed 2 gum grafts, and several caps for my teeth. This was all very expensive thousands and thousands of dollars!!. They tried to reschedule me to have all this work done but like I said I just went in to have my teeth cleaned I have no pain, no discomfort and no issues with my teeth, at least that’s what I thought till I went in. I left with a bunch of pictures of my teeth and I contacted my old dentist. Dr Trotters office then called me two hours later saying they didn’t take my insurance and so they had me to pay 300$ for the xrays and exam. Which is asinine, and completely unethical. After feeling like I had gotten scammed I contacted my old dentist who is about 45 min away and I went to him. This doctor said I would probably need the grafts in 10-12 years and that he recommends no one taking a chisel to my teeth because I already do a good enough job grinding them down myself. He recommended I do none of the procedures Dr trotter suggested. This is my experience with this office and it’s probably not shared with all of her patients, I just feel like I got completely used, given quotes for procedures I did not need, and lied to so they could make money on an already healthy mouth. It’s worth it to me to drive out of my way and see a good doctor than to drive 2 min down the street and get hustled. Be careful. The people here really care about their patients and Dr. Trotter works to make every visit worth your investment of time and money. Which with dentistry can both be significant. You are in good hands here.

The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The hygienist did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth, and Dr. Trotter was very informative when I asked about Invisalign.

Other than when I moved out of town, I have been going to Dr. Trotter's office for as long as I can remember. I love her and her staff and a special thank you to Leonor who is probably the best hygienist I have ever had do my cleanings. She is so sweet and so thorough! Just another great addition.

One of the best! She and her staff take such great care of my family. With four kids, we get to spend lots of time with them. AMAZING!

They’re so great! My crown broke while on a work trip and they got me in and taken care of the second I got back! Doc came in early just for me and took care of me painlessly.

I would like to recommend Dr. Trotter for your dental needs. Dr. Trotter and her staff are very professional and caring. I had an abscess tooth that needed to be pulled and I have had two other teeth pulled by other dentists. If one can say this was the best experience it was, it was quick and painless. Thank you Dr. trotter and staff.

Excellent! 1st ever Root canal (RC) performed and temporary crown, very minimal (almost no) pain and or discomfort. I add my RC was not easy. Broken tooth. Was out for lunch at Pizza Hut within 2-hours after my RC without any problems or complications. Followed up soon after for removal of temporary crown - placement of permanent crown. Crown was a perfect fit and is trouble free almost a year. Skillful, Professional, Caring , Concerned. Wife and I both use Dr. Trotters services X 2yrs

My wife K. has seen Dr. Trotter for several years, but the last visit for a root canal was an expensive disaster. The doctor was incapable of completing the job & sent my wife to another surgeon to finish the botched work, who also charged full price. I requested some price relief from Dr. Trotter, but was ignored. The combined bills totaled over $2,300 for a simple $900 root canal. My daughter A. also had a painful visit & said never again. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone.
