Dr. Linda R. Carroll

Dr Carroll is one great Doctor. She helped and understood me. If I had questions, she answered them. I Can say, she's an wonderful Dr. and she knows her stuff. I would recommend her to anyone.

She refused to look at my diabetic husband open foot wound, that GOT SO BAD AND INFECTED,ALSO needed hypobaric to save his toe. She told him it was not necessary TO LOOK CAUSE NURSE HAD and disreguarded his complaint 2 visits. Finally,our other Dr. Took him personally up to hypobarics and they saved his foot at BMC,EAST,BEND OREGON. THANK YOU DR. Dr. Carroll represents a lot of things that are wrong with the medical system in my opinion. I arrived in a wheelchair and she immediately assumed that, because I didn't own it and it belonged to the office, I didn't need it and only grabbed it to try to play on her sympathies. I imagine because I am young and don't necessarily look sick, it's easy to assume I'm some kind of hypochondriac. But I would expect that reaction from ignorant people on the street, not a pain doctor with my health history in front of her. She clearly motioned me to get up out of the wheelchair and said "let's go!". She told me that because it's the hospital's wheelchair, I must've grabbed it myself, and if I can do that, why was I in one? I immediately had to explain the fact that my mother, who was my ride and is near 70, is unable to lift my wheelchair into her car so we rely on the care facility to provide one when available, as it is much easier for her to simply roll one out than lift it up and down. When my mother approached to ask why on earth she was talking to me so disrespectfully, she snarled at her to stay out of the room. I could tell the staff was walking on eggshells around her. When we got into the examination room, she asked me in a severely flippant tone "WHY are you here???". I tried to explain "I'm in chronic pain...", but she rudely interrupted me, "No, I mean, WHY ARE YOU HERE??". It was clear she initially thought I wasn't really in need of any type of pain management. The truth was that office visit wasn't even my idea, it was my PCP's -- again, I had to explain all of this to her, and fight for my right to be heard. I wish I could convey the impatience in her tone and the critical look on her face. Perhaps if you have a clear-cut problem with abundant test results showing the source of your pain, she might be kind and helpful, but if you have anything mysterious like me she will likely approach you with suspicion. To be fair, I imagine as a pain doctor she sees a lot of crazy things: people trying to manipulate to score meds etc. However, she has zero understanding of what it is like to be chronically ill for decades and have someone who doesn't know you at all make snap judgements about your whole existence after mere minutes. After I defended myself at length, she finally softened and I felt we actually got somewhere -- she is very smart and has a lot of good ideas once she believes you're not some lying attention-seeker. But her initial approach was completely unprofessional, and I'm hoping this review will save someone else the heartache by choosing someone else to go to. If you are upfront and honest with her she is a great doctor.

I've been seeing Dr Carroll for over 15 years she is very friendly and funny. Her staff IS NOT AFRAID OF HER! I'm sorry she is retiring in June. Maybe some of you who complained on here is because she had tried different ways to treat you instead of giving you pain meds. Because that's the only reason you go to a pain management Dr. Is to get your chronic pain under control. I've been seeing Dr Carroll for over 15 years she is very friendly and funny. Dr Carroll is compassionate direct and only wants to help her patients. She is the only Dr who cared about my pain and wanted to get to the cause of it.

Linda Carol is one of the worst doctors I have ever been to in my entire life. If there is ever a woman with a God complex it is her. Let no one waste their time going to her as she has no treatment other than the drugs . I could go on anon but it's already been covered in the other review that's on here which is entirely 100% accurate

I have been seeing Dr. Linda Carroll for 6+ years. She has always been very helpful and has done a great job for me. She is also right on time and does not make me wait in the waiting room. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Carroll has been a Goes send. She's professional and takes the time to explain to her patients the different approaches that can work for them. I'm truly grateful that I have her as my doctor!

I recently had a 3rd level Fusion and I have other problems with my lower back. I am on OHP so I was only allowed one visit. What a wonderful doctor. What a caring woman. So refreshing to sit with a doctor I truly felt had compassion and cared about how I was feeling. Very professional. I am always in pain and it can be quite depressing . Very knowledgeable doctor! I had a dead area that was painful, tingling and with pins and needles sensation. She showed me in a book what was there, sent me to an anesthesiologist for facet joint injections and a week after the injections, the pain, tingling and numbness was gone, and has never come back. The area was about the size of a graham cracker, almost a rectangle right beside my spine on the right side. I moved to Springfield last year but will make the 2 hour drive to see this doctor.

Worst experience with a doctor to date. She was incredibly unprofessional and lacked any compassion. Office staff were walking on egg shells around her. My husband couldn't even get through the entire appointment due to her interrupting and rudeness. Though it was weird that I was unable to accompany him the first visit.

If I could have gave zero stars I would have. She is horrible. Refused to treat me for my motor vehicle accident or my previous injury. She told me I had no proof of MVA even though I had been referred to her by my doctor in Portland. Didn't want to bother with OHP so said I could only have one visit. Totally unprofessional. Snarled at my mother. May be racist. Definetly did not treat me like a person. This is no over reaction. My experience was horrible. My scheduled appointment lasted about three minutes and covered this much ground. Amazing. If I could have gave zero stars I would have. She is horrible. Dr. Carroll was rude, unprofessional, and totally lacking in compassion. She prejudged my son and refused him treatment, talking to him in the hallway and not even taking him into an examining room. She claimed she hadn't received medical records from Portland doctor although her clinic had previously confirmed their receipt. She ignored existing medical conditions of neurofibromatosis and anxiety disorder. Experience was terrible. We had waited 30 days to see this doctor. We got no help.
