Dr. Lianna Lawson

Dr. Lawson and her staff is always wonderful. Emily is the most hopeful and always listen to me. It took me 10 years to find a Md office that cares about me. This office does care about their patients from Md, NP, nurses, and medical staff.

Dr. Lawson has been seeing my whole family for 10 years. She knows us well and remembers our history. She and her entire staff are very accommodating with our 5 children and they don't act like it is a burden when I have to bring them all in with me. They just bring some chairs into the exam room! They love my children and are very sweet with them. Dr. Lawson is kind, compassionate, understanding, and attentive. Her approach to medicine is comforting and reassuring. When you are a patient of Dr. Lawson's, you are not merely a number. I remember many years ago having trouble with my insurance and she called me personally to talk about it and to apologize. Her bedside manner is unlike any other doctor's that I have seen! The NPs she has had on staff through the most recent years have been phenomenal as well! They maintain the same family friendly and compassionate demeanor.

Called to see if the doctor was accepting new patients. Long story short, was told not if on Medicare or Medicare with a supplemental policy. I asked why not. They said the billing company would not do Medicare Billings. Also, didn’t tell me that if I paid out of pocket I could be a new patient. Doctors web site says they do take Medicare payments. Strange all around.

Finding a new doctor just because her staff is so incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Although Dr. Lawson is a likeable person she sends you to another doctor FOR EVERYTHING!! not everyone wants to spend a $50.00 copay for a specialist for something a doctor should be able to do herself! I need a doctor who's confident in her diagnosis!! Will definitely be transferring to another doctor!

Great Doctor and staff I have been going to them for about 12 years now. Never have I had 1 bad experience. Dr Lawson is awesome and I find her very easy to talk too.

I've been going to Dr. Lawson for about 10 years now and cannot speak highly enough about her. She's very understanding and knowledgeable. It is rare to find someone who genuinely cares like she does about her patients. I have had many bad experiences in the past with other doctors in various fields. I am thankful to have found her. Definitely need a new secretary! Had an appointment wasn't asked if I had Medicare. Went to appointment was told....we don't accept patients with Medicare. Really....why didn't you ask when I ,made the appointment! Waste of MY time!

Absolutely the most ridiculous money hungry office in Daleville. You dont even see Dr. Lawson, you see a "nurse" who treats you, but still get charged as if you saw a doctor. They are horrible about returning phone calls. you have to constantly call to remind them to ask a doctor if you have questions or need a prescription. Dr Lawson is top notch,there is minimal waiting times,she's easy to talk to,knowledgeble and genuinely cares.She also answers emails promptly.Others commented on the office staff but those people must have been phased out before I came because they are nothing but professional.I highly reccomend her.

Best Doctor and staff around.

Been seeing Dr. Lawson for 10+ years and I can honestly state, and it's not hyperbole, that I trust her with my life.

Dr. Lawson is an unusual Dr. because she takes all the time you need with her. She is like the doctors of times gone by. She really cares about her patients and does not hurry you in and hurry you out.. She cares about every aspect of your life and health. She is so compassionate and caring. She is also easy to talk to about any problem. I would refer anyone to Dr. Lawson and hope they would be fortunate enough to have her as their doctor.

Dr. Lawson is awesome. She has a great bedside manner and genuinely seems to care about her patients. That said, the other reviews about her staff are correct. They ignore patients waiting, laughing and talking with the window shut. Wait times are bad (I'm typing this while waiting 40 minutes after my nurse appointment time), staff doesn't return calls in timely manner, and sometimes does not give info needed. Also, the nurse practitioner is very impersonal. Regular nurse today was friendly.

Dr. Lawson and the entire staff are thoughtful, helpful, and caring for myself and my family. They make the visit personal and helpful.

I have read the reviews and agree with most things written. She is by far one of the most caring and has the best bed-side manners of any doctor around. She is "old school" in a sense that she gets to know her patients, their families, and genuinely loves them and what she does. If you are accustomed to a fast doctor visit, being treated like a number taken at the DMV, and a wham-bam thank you m'am approach to your health care, this place isn't for you. Everyone is like family there!

Let me begin by saying Dr. Lawson is an excellent doctor. She is caring, kind, and really listens. She deserves five stars. However, some of her staff with a few exceptions are some of the most unprofessional that I have ever encountered. Perhaps they are unaware that their treatment room doors and walls are very thin and that you can hear everything they have to say about you and other patients. My husband has overheard them speaking rudely about another patient while waiting to be seen by the doctor. When I went in to get a flu test this month to see if I had the flu (I did not) I could hear them discussing me through the door. The conversation was along the vein of "Oh my God, does she have the flu? Can you give me a flu vaccine right now?" "Yeah, we should probably all get one now that we are seeing cases." "Please don't come here to work if you have the flu." Now I understand that the flu is highly contagious and undesirable and as a normally healthy adult I probably would have stayed at home if I suspected I might have it, had it not been for the fact that I was sixteen weeks pregnant. My husband was having flu symptoms so he had urged me to get tested to be safe. This conversation made me very uncomfortable to even be there. If they are only interested in seeing healthy people then perhaps they should switch professions. Otherwise, my advice to them would be to invest in thicker doors or learn some compassion. In addition, on three separate occasions I have called with a concern and have been told by the receptionist to go to the emergency room. In all three cases I have had to go to an Urgent Care type place, and this has left me wondering why I even have a primary care physician. We will be switching practices as soon as possible. Dr. Lawson is a kind, caring , empathetic physician. Once you get an appointment with her, she is well worth the wait. Puts you at ease, and takes good care of you. When she started practice , she had much nicer people working for her. Most are gone now. Some staff are okay, the rest are not suited for the medical profession , and make her look bad.

Staff ignores patients at frosted window, while patients hear them laughing and talking together. Rude staff, not competent. Dr's ok

Currently sitting on hold for over 9 minutes to get an appointment as a current patient. This is the 4th time I've tried to schedule an appointment and get put on eternal hold EVERY time.

Dr. Lawson is the BEST doctor I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I live in Roanoke near Patrick Henry High School. Originally, her office was 5 minutes from me. When she moved first to 460, then to Botetourt, I went with her. There is no finer doctor anywhere in the Roanoke area, and she is more than worth the 30-minute drive to see her. Also, she really takes time with me and listens to me, something all doctors don't do. She is a rare and precious gem of a doctor and a person.

Dr Lawson provides great care for her patients and takes the time to listen about the patients concerns. Her bedside manner is beyond 110%. I have been a patient for over ten years

DR. LAWSON IS WONDERFUL! HOWEVER HER STAFF IS A LITTLE RUDE, AND OFFICE CAN USE A LITTLE CLEANING!!!!!
