Dr. Lewis E Porter

Dr Porter has performed surgery on both myself and my wife and I cannot brag enough on this man. He has the best bedside manner in the business and a wealth of knowledge and experience. For all of my internal surgical needs, there is no one that we trust more than Dr Porter. Thank you and your staff for always going above and beyond!

Dr. Porter is an awesome Dr and he handled me with care. Very polite person and he did an amazing job with my surgery. I would recommend him to anyone.

Good doctor but not a people person

He is a good surgeonOther than he will not give you strong enough pain medicine for the pain you experienced after his procedure

First if all, I want to thank my Lord and savior Jesus for sending Dr. Porter our way. He’s performed 2 major surgeries on me and just yesterday he helped saved my daughter’s life, when 5 doctors at Baptist could not figure out what was wrong with her. She literally could have died if left untreated but he operated on her and now she’s on her way to recovery. We are forever grateful for Dr. Porter, words can not describe our gratitude. I love Dr.Porter, I wish he could be my Doctor for all my needs. He has fantastic bedside manner, he listens and answers your questions. He's respectful of your feelings and has a sense of humor. He or his staff checks in on you and make me feel like family every time they see me..

Dr. Porter is the best! He has treated our family for stomach issues for years. We love the man, and feel lucky to have his expertise and experience in our lives!

Dr Porter gives excellent care to his patients. He takes time to listen and doesn’t make you feel rushed. I brought a list of things I wanted to ask him & he was more than happy to answer every question. I feel very blessed to have him as my surgeon.

I haven’t even been in for my appointment yet but the receptionist I spoke with was terrible. I had been on vacation for a week and didn’t have any cell signal, and when I got home and called back, she said “Well, FIRST of all, we tried to contact you like 8 times (I only had 2 missed calls from them), so what is your phone number?” She also kept cutting me off as I was answering questions she asked me. I am praying for a better experience once I go to my appointment, but honestly I think I’ll ask my doctor to refer me somewhere else. Medical conditions can already be stressful without having to deal with rude, abrasive front offices. I’ve been down that road before and the outcome is never pleasant. Can’t tell you how happy I am with Dr. Porter. Even as a surgeon he did everything he could to keep me from having surgery. Listened to me and talked to me with respect. Has always been very professional and he listens to his patients and will do what is best for you, even if he has doubts. But he is a doctor who cares about his patients , i will recommend him to anyone who need a surgeon.

Seen him for the first time on 5/21 the office staff was friendly and smiling. Was scheduled for surgery on 5/22 got to the outpatient surgery everybody was friendly. Got bk to pre OP and my Male and female nurse was super nice everybody was helping each other out to make sure it ran smoothly. Dr. Porter came out after the surgery and explained how things went to my parents.. I'm super impressed with him.. hes funny and he listens to you... definitely recommend him to anybody... I needed to have my gallbladder removed. I was worked in quickly and Dr. Porter was professional throughout the entire process. Very friendly and efficient. His staff was also very helpful as I was in the middle of changing health insurance at the time of my operation.

I was hospitalized for 9 days even had exploratory surgery, Drs here couldn’t determine why I was in so much pain. Went to Dr. Porter and he did a colonoscopy and found the problem right away.

I heard about Dr. Porter from my mother and I am a resident of Dallas, Tx. I was not satisfied with the answers I was getting there and Dr. Porter was attentive, listened and gave me options for a better quality of life. Dr. Porter is one of the best doctors I have had the pleasure of being in contact with. He is thorough, compassionate and has an excellent beside manner. He provides more than excellent care. He explained my procedure and post op outcome is terms that informed and comforted. Additionally his staff is superb!!!!

Dr. Porter is very thorough in explaining his diagnosis & recommended course of action. I had my gall bladder removed. All went well and after 2 weeks was released to go back doing whatever I felt like, which included golf 4-5 times a week. I had no complications from surgery, healed quickly, and can eat anything. I understand that Dr. Porter is a strong Christian and prays before each surgery for God to guide his team and his hands to effect a positive outcome. I like that.

Excellent Doctor no waiting and Extremely thorough. The staff was great and the office was immaculate you could eat off the floors. We are grateful to God he is my husbands Surgeon.

Very satisfied with our visit. When we arrived an elderly woman was leaving her appointment and Dr. Porter helped her all the way out to her car!! Very nice man.
