His female assistant was very gentle in preparing me for the exam. Dr. Gottesman was very thorough and patient in both his initial questioning and hearing my concerns, and throughout the exam. I’m a woman physician myself, and I would strongly recommend him. His office staff is efficient on the phone and in the office.

Dr. Gottesman saved my life. He oversaw my care after surgery, every morning, and kept me in the hospital for a short a time as possible and has kept me off his table, since. Thank you

Dr Gottesman has the peculiar skill of finding the right balance of being friendly and professional at the same time. Small gestures like a gentle tap on the shoulder before the surgery started or an unexpected phone call the next day allow him to give a special support to his patient that is hard to find. I would recommend Dr Gottesman without any doubts.

Dr. Gottesman has a very calm, reassuring, professional manner. He took ample time in carefully explaining my problem and discussing his treatment plan. The surgery, though relatively minor, was just as he had described, and my recovery was uneventful. My experience was most positive, and I would highly recommend Dr. Gottesman to anyone with a colorectal problem.

Technically, one of the finest colorectal surgeons in the country. Excellent clinician - empathic, caring, listens well, explains well. Very old school manner - when doctors really established communication with patients. Excellent knowledge of medicine and keeps current on latest developments. Quiet, somewhat reserved personality (at first) but very thoughtful and honest.
