Leslie Mira Abromowitz

A wonderful Doctor who we could tell really spent time searching for the best meds for my son. She was interested in making sure he had the best care and was successful in the future.

I saw Dr Abromowitz for about 2 years when she worked at New Horizons in Pickerington. I always liked her and found her to great listener. I never had to repeat myself to her. She would look directly at me, not her computer screen like other doctor's. She always showed sympathy and was always honest with me. When she believed she had done all she could she passed me on to someone else she thought could help more. I'll always have respect for Dr Abromowitz and appreciate the effort she put forth while treating me.

Yesterday was the first time I met Dr. Abromowitz. I was impressed by her ability to calm my very ill husband down who is currently manic. He's not easy to handle, but she did so with ease.

Dr. Abromowitz was so focused on the community heroin epidemic that she expects all her patients to submit to drug testing. I was not there for a narcotic. I was there for an Antidepressant (SSRI). Could not get her to understand that. Total waste of my time.

Dr. Abromowitz is one of the best psychiatrists I have ever worked with, and I've seen quite a few in my 20 years in treatment. She is very knowledgeable about the conditions she treats and the medications she prescribes, and shares her knowledge. She takes time to explain her decision-making process when it comes to various treatment options she is considering. Also, she includes me in that process by giving weight to my opinion/preference when it comes to trying a new medicine, adjusting a dose, etc. I really value being made part of my own psychiatric care, as I value the inherent respect shown by her including me in decision making. She has prescribed medications that have helped my symptoms of PTSD and treatment-resistant bipolar depression, and her care has helped me more than that of any other psychiatrist. She may seem abrupt or short, but I know she really does care, and I think her demeanor is a result of a heavy work load and a brain that's always going strong. Dr. Abromowitz is one of the best psychiatrists I have wotked with. She is very knowledgeable about the conditions she treats and the medications she prescribes, and shares her knowledge. I went to her for help with using the correct anxiety/depression meds. Before I even got in to see her her nurse insisted I take a drug test. What? Why? I explained I was not there for narcotics but it didn't matter. The entire 45 minute session was focused on narcotics and how people are abusing it. She did not listen to me at all. Needless to say she did not help me at all. Total waste of time.

Dr Abromowitz is the most compassionate doctor I've ever had. She legitimately want's to help and I've always felt comfortable confiding in her. I wish we had more psychiatrists like her.

She is absolutely the very best Dr I have ever been to. I have been seeing her now for approx 2 years. I have been seeing psychiatrists since I was 9 for ADHD. I am now 59. Although she specializes in children because of special circumstances she agreed to see me.I AM SO GLAD. SHE IS SO WELL INFORMED. VERY INTELLIGENT AND KNOWS HER STUFF. I BET SHE IS EVEN MORE AMAZING WITH CHILDREN. SHE LISTENS AND IS TRULY CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. SHE IS BY FAR THE BEST PHYCHATRIST I HAVE HAD!

Wonderful!! She knows her stuff!! She is very well informed, very intelligent, and yet she truly listens to you and is concerned. I have been going to psychiatrist for my ADHD since I was 9 years old. I am now 59. She is by far THE BEST. She specializes in children, and only took my case on a special circumstance. I'm sure she must be even more amazing with children.
