Dr. Leonides G. Cigarroa JR.

Went there for follow up after hospital stay, was not interested in why I was there, made comment about not believing why I was in hospital and refused to help with referring to other specialist to continue my recovery, very rude, unprofessional, only interested in COVID shots and asking why you take certain medications. Only interested in making money. Not interested in health care

left the appointment crying because of how rude and unprofessional Dr. Cigarroa behaved. He would make rude comments such as “how old are you?” … “No wonder” & “let’s use common sense” & processed to ask us the same question we asked him. We went for a reason & asked questions for a reason. Lastly, I asked if my loved one was sick with anything else because he has been sick for 4 months and this was already the 3rd time coming to the doctors office. & he got frustrated and said “____ test & __ test come out fine. It came out fine… understand?” as he pointed to his head inferring to “do you understand or not?”. Incredibly rude and disrespectful. Do not recommend to anyone. Having chest pain & being unable to work is completely normal. Every symptom is normal for this doctor. Came with this doctor because of the “good” reviews but was a horrible experience

When I moved back to Laredo from Fort Worth, I chose Dr. Leo Cigarroa Jr. to be my primary care physician based upon both my childhood experience with his parents, Dr. Margaret Cigarroa and Dr. Leo Cigarroa Sr. (both GREAT physicians), and also because of Leo Jr.'s excellent personal reputation. His care philosophy of treating patients like family rings true. When consulting with him, he treats me as if I am his one and only patient. I trust his advice, guidance, and treatment implicitly.
