Absolutely the best!

Leonard Jay Zuckerman of Okemos, who claims to be a doctor, harassed me, belittled me, and told me he is retiring in two weeks so that means he can't and won't do anything. Instead I need to come back to have another doctor help. At first I thought that meant the other doctor was coming in during this visit, but then I was told to go to checkout. I left the exam room in utter shock from the things he said and the "treatment" I was given, simply because he judged me on a piercing I have. When checking out I asked the receptionist why I had to come back and what the purpose of even coming in today was. I told them I was disappointed and they seemed to be at a loss for words. I was brought into the hall and given a seat to wait for the office manager to come out and talk to me. Was very pleased with the personal time that Dr. Zuckerman spent with me and my wife regarding my enlarged prostate. After extensive review of my history, it was decided that the TURP was indicated.

My mom went in for a standard procedure stent. Dr. Zuckerman intentionally chose not to give her a post-procedure antibiotic. Three days later she was in critical condition with a negligible blood pressure. The doctors in ER had to slam 2 bags of saline into her in half an hour to try to bring it up. My dad was asked how much intervention he wanted if she coded. All for want of a $2 antibiotic. That level of incompetence appalls me. My mom went in for a standard procedure stent. Im a new patient trying to see the doctor. Ive been calling their phone number for 3 days now to schedule an appointment. They finally gave me a call back 2 days later. I was washing dishes & couldnt answer the phone. Ive called them back 3 times and its currently 9:59 and still have no answer. There is no reason a doctors office shouldnt have a receptionist or somebody to handle the phones. If its this hard to schedule an appointment, I cant imagine how difficult they are as a business. Dr.Z worse experience ever!!!!Not sure he knows what he's doing!!! No compassion for patients!!!!

This man has knowledge, resources and experience well beyond anyone else in this area. When referred to U of M, the specialist confirmed that she had been trained by him also... Very kind and conscience doctor.

Dr. Zuckerman has treated me several times over the years. He's knowledgeable, considerate, caring, kind. I have no trouble referring friends and family to him.

Dr. Z and his staff are THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!

I saw Dr. Zuckerman in ER who sent me home and told to call if the condition worse.I called 3 times on weekend as worse and spoke to the dr. on call who called Dr. Z. I was told that it takes time to resolve and everything is fine.Monday appointment with Dr. Z, he was angry that I called three times over weekend and chastised me for calling.He then examined me and told me he would have to do surgery on me but it was probably too late and surgery would be next day.Testicle died.Exquisite pain
