I wish I could give him a 0/5 stars. I came to him for help with some foot pain, and him and his staff refused to address my foot pain, he started trying to fix my gait, and they told me this could fix my pain, all of their suggestions didn't help at all. I honestly feel that they took advantage of my insurance. I contacted my insurance provider and told them to not pay them, they didn't do anything to help me. They just wasted my time! I have had foot pain for the past 6 months, and every day I look at my feet, using my eyes and brain, and I believe I found the source of my pain. I am not a podiatrist, and how can supposedly amazing doctors completely overlook this?! It's very obvious if they actually took the time to look at my feet. Scam artists! A complete waste of my time and energy. I will sue them for malpractice. After dealing with doctor vekkos, I now understand why people don't trust doctors. I wish I could give him a 0/5 stars. I have been going to see DocV for many years know and think the world of him and his hard working staff. He has performed surgery not only on myself but two of my sons as well all ending with great results. I’m proud to call him my doctor as well as my friend. He has adjusted his schedule many a time to be there for us when appointment times just did not work for us. As they say the proof is in the pudding give him a call and you will see what I and many others do. A great doctor who cares.

Horrible horrible doctor he literally said “I screw up” after my after surgery consult looking at the x- rays. And I’m still have ankle problems to this day. Why why did I go here it’s not worth it and now I go somewhere else and eh are way better then this dump.

Worst doctor ever, my friend had foot surgery there and he screwed everything up I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM! Go somewhere else and find a better mature and not to much at the same time. The talk was great but he over thinker it and he cost my friend lots of money we might sue. We will NEVER come back.

It was the worst experience ever, When I got my surgery by him he messed up and he had to go back in and he made me very mad because he said when he was looking at the x-rays “crap, I screw up.” In front of my family I was like “ oh crap.” So he went in and yeah didn’t go well so we left and went to another doctor and he called my mom and he was very very mad we left but we should be the ones mad at him he did surgery on a 12 year old kid how would I feel, now I’m 15 and I need more surgery this fall. He was also mad we were going to sue, Bingo! We are. I’m very very disappointed in you for making my life horrible you also ruined my dreams of becoming a color guard was in band I had to quit because of the ankle robot thing you put in me, and yes they took it out and it felt way way better. I will not recommend him AT ALLL FIND SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE or you will be in so much pain like I am thank you very much.

What he did was not good he said way to much and he knows this and that but he just made it worst how can he have his licenses.

I had an appointment in May 21' where he inspected my left foot and determined my issue is Plantars Fasciitis. He wrote me a script for comfortable running shoes and made me a temporary tape and pad arch support. He also recommended he make a custom orthotic insole that unfortunately would cost me $1000 due to my insurance not covering it. He also wrote me a script for therapy. I refused the therapy as you can get most of the exercises from YouTube. All this came out to $515($348 w/insurance) when my insurance estimated around $80 for a visit. The visit was about 40 minutes. I didn't know doctors made $772 an hour. There were no codes or descriptions of services rendered on the bill. So how I see it is I paid $348 OOP for an exam and some padding and tape as a temporary arch support. I did get the running shoes,that are extremely comfortable,and went online to buy arch supports and insoles. These purchases are the only things I've used and they cost me around $200. Unfortunately I had to take off work for a month and now I feel I can get back to work. Also, for the last 1 1/2 weeks I've been trying to get a copy of my medical records. When they someone ACTUALLY ANSWERED my repeated phone calls and emails they told me it could take 2-3 weeks to get. After hounding them I got them in about 4 days. The records were in doctor language and I have been wanting a lamens version of my condition(Plantars Fasciitis)I have been calling with no answers and emailing to get this for a week now. Today I finally got a hold of the receptionist. She was giving me information but before she told me how to get something like what I requested she said she would call me back. This was at 3:40. I waited 30 minutes then called back 3 times getting the o so informative "We are either on the phone or assisting patients at this time" not "our office is closed" making me call back like an idiot multiple times. I checked the hours online to make sure to get someone and nothing. In one of the emails the rep explained that they were only in until around 1 on Wed though the website said 3. Regardless, I had been calling and emailing since 9 that morning and got nothing. I have to end this rant because I have to make my 5th call the them. It's 5:18 and online it says open till 7. Wish me luck? Oh I forgot!! If you're under 50(I'd say) expect him to work a lot of curse words into the conversation as if you were a college or high school buddy.

Saw Dr Vekkos when I broke my foot and after a previous dr made it worse. Excellent surgeon. My foot is perfect. I’ve since gone to him and sent others for a range of foot issues. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about his patients. I am sorry that some of the other reviewers didn’t share that experience.

Dr. Vekkos performed reconstruction foot surgery on me in September, and did such an excellent job. I have zero pain or issues. Kathy is the best!

Dr. Vekkos and his entire are incredible caring people and I would not go to any other office. Four of my family members have had some kind of foot care or has needed surgery due to an unexpected injury. I was recently out of state and fell and fractured my foot. I called Kathy Dr. Vekkos awesome secretary from an emergency room in TN and she gave me an appointment as soon as I returned home. My daughter had surgery and had a pain and Dr. Vekkos meet us after hours to take care of her. I don’t any other Doctor that would do that Dr Vekkos is so incredibly care for all his patients. Dr. V is very professional yet has a fantastic table side manner. He keeps you informed and shows you the time and care you deserve. His staff is attentive and very accommodating. So happy I found him and presented a unique case which we are working through now.

Dr. Vekkos is terrific; he understands any anxiety and does a great job to eliminate and stress and answer all questions. He makes himself available to his patient, by calling back his patients. In his office Dr. Vekkos is friendly and approachable. His office staff are incredible, friendly and makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Vekkos.

Dr. V ( what I and other patients call Dr. Vekkos) is like family. From the first time I met him, I immediately felt comfortable. He took the time to go thru what is happening to my foot and explaining everything. Giving me all the options available. Unfortunately, both of my feet had issues. The right being the worse. After reconstruction - most people need inserts or a brace or special shoes - I do not. I can walk barefoot if I like. After seeing 2 other doctors with no relief from either. I was given Dr. Vekkos' name - and he is in my network. Thank goodness. Dr. V is amazing, great surgeon, listens to you and good guy. His staff is incredible and always worked with me - be it for appointments, questions or billing. I get great care and I am treated like family. Thankful I found Dr. Vekkos.

Had multiple surgeries in hopes of reducing pain level but Dr. Vekkos’ surgeries ended up causing more intense pain. One surgery I believe was for his benefit not mine & that’s the one that changed my life for the worse. If I could rate only his staff, I would give each and every one of them 5 stars :D but I can’t, this is for Vekkos rating. He gets one star because he’s a fisherman.

After 7 years of being his patient, I made the error of having my one pair of orthodics that worked for me re-covered. Apparently, that's a job for the lab. The lab majorly botched the job, and altered the orthodics. Instead of returning them to the lab to correct their error, Vekkos, overconfident in himself, insisted on "fixing" them himself. All he did was heat up the top and put some odd indentations in the forefoot. When I returned from a trip without said orthodics because he was going to fix them, my feet were swollen, blistered, and one toe had the skin pulled off. Would they see me to treat me--no. I had to go to urgent care. Five month later (5 months!) theo orthodics are returned to me without any difference from the first time. In addition, upon trying to contact the doctor, this past month I'm shuffled from one person to the next or not receiving any response whatsoever. Unprofessional. I recall many reviews stating he likes to propose surgery. Yes, he did with me early on as well. I'm disappointed in Dr Vekkos. One pair of orthodics were done well, which is why I gave him so much latitude. Latitude included waiting such an extreme time for these orthodics and tolerating when he threw out a pair of orthodics a few years ago that I (and my insurance company) paid for. If you have complicated or difficult foot problems, go elsewhere. I had one pair of orthodics that were done well, and after years of use needed a new cover. His lab tore apart and “re-did” the orthodics! Rather than send them back to the lab, Vekkos was confident he could repair them. 5 months later not done. When I needed emergency care they didn’t respond. Poor service and little to NO response

Dr. Vekkos is a master craftsman of the foot and ankle. My wife and I are marathon runners and he has repaired her damaged toe cartilage, given me steroid injections for neuoma, and even removed an embedded cat hair from my daughters foot. In our ongoing relationship Dr. V., Dr. Jen, Kathy the office manager and the rest of the staff have given us the very best of care. Dr. Vekkos is a master craftsman of the foot and ankle. I had a bunionectomy with Dr Vekkos. Although he is caring and compassionate I had a bad result-the bone broke during surgery and I had nerve damage in my ankle that now prevents me from driving. I have since heard one should see an orthopedic surgeon for something like this.

I fell down stairs and broke my foot, went to the ER and followed up with the on-call orthopedic-surgeon. Months later still in pain, I went to Dr. Vekkos, he found a fracture that the other doctor missed. He and Dr. Jen took great care of me. The entire staff is wonderful and treat you like family. Do not trust this doctor! He will recommend unnecessary surgery to a child to make money!!! Like he suggested to my 7 year old. After I left his office I had a terrible feeling... So I read other reviews online and I had goosebumps... My daughter's foot healed just fine with no intervention! Because it was not needed! The recommended treatment was absurd, to keep the wound wet for 5 days and then come back for a surgery! He suggested payment plans right away... Spooky!
