Dr. Leonard J. Landesberg

We have been patients of Dr. Landesberg for years. Excellent doctor, no issues, very knowledgeable, supportive as well as attentive . However, when dealing with the office, by that I mean one person, "Mara". Mara is truly disgusting. Even after all these years of seeing the doctor each visit is not only frustrating, demeaning, a true waste of time and almost to the point before each and every visit not to return except for the fact that the quality of care from Dr. Landesberg. Mara's only words are "No", "we don't take that insurance" (even though it has been verified more than once), "no you can't do that", "you can't have that appointment", "I don't care if our group or other doctors in the group accept it", "you need a referral" (even though the ins. card simply states no referrals are needed" etc etc.. I can go on and in our opinion, it is a sad state when you trust and have confidence in your doctor but one employee, for whatever Mara's issues, are turning long time satisfied patients away. I have been very impressed with Dr. Landesberg in the 6+ years that I've been seeing him. He always provides excellent patient care and explains everything. His staff is friendly and helpful and there's never a long wait.

I met with Dr Landesberg for the first time today to treat an issue with my lung. He took the time to review an older cat scan of the lung and compare it to the one I took recently. He reviewed other cat scans that might give him some clue as to why or how long I have this condition. He took his time, did not rush me and answered any questions I had. I thought he was very thorough, caring and compassionate. I feel so lucky to have him as my pulmonary doctor. I know I am in good hands. His staff was also wondeful and accomadating when it came to make a follow-up appointment.

Dr Landesberg took the time to explain my condition and possible testing and outcomes. He was caring, professional and so impressive.

I was unable to even SEE Dr. Landesberg because the staff flat-out refused to accommodate my schedule. I made it clear to the office staff that I CANNOT make 2:30 appointments because I DO NOT HAVE PAID TIME OFF AND MY PAY WILL BE DOCKED IF I MISS 3 AND A HALF HOURS OF WORK. The staff made it clear that they did not care, and refused to accommodate me. I will no longer be doing business with this practice. EXTREMELY unprofessional for NYU.

Dr. Landesberg is the finest medical professional I have ever known. Understanding, compassionate, and caring, Dr. Landesberg has a wonderful gift of getting his patients to underdstand their illnesses and medications. You are never made to feel rushed by Dr. Landesberg or the staff. I will always be grateful for the attention and care I have received from Dr. Landesberg.
