This was my first time at OV Smiles. Alana was wonderful! Best hygienist award :) The cleaning was thorough and gentle and she is so nice and friendly! We actually had a good time talking during my cleaning! Dr Gerken addressed all of my concerns with a crown (my first) that had been done by my previous dentist before he retired. The crown always slightly didn’t feel right. He was able to adjust it while I was there and it has made a huge difference to my bite. It now feels “normal” again. I had a great overall experience!

I recently moved to the area from Massachusetts, and I decided to try Oro Valley Smiles because they had great reviews and it was close to where I would be living. They were very courteous on the phone, I didn't have to worry about the insurance complexities of trying to get my history and x-rays sent over from my previous dentist office (that is still closed as of July 8, 2020). I felt very welcomed from the moment I walked in. My hygienist was amazing, attentive, fun to talk to, and I honestly had the best cleaning I have ever had that I can recall. I am so grateful I chose Oro Valley Smiles, and I am excited to finally find a dentist office that I actually really enjoy!

Even amid these difficult times, Dr. Gerken and staff made me feel welcome and safe with their smiles and kindness. Doctor asked how my family was doing and knows them by name--sounds like the caring medical profession back when I was a boy. I am so appreciative that Doctor explains step by step what he is doing and asks me often if I'm doing okay. And I don't I feel rushed.

I called the day before on a holiday for a problematic tooth. They were off that day. So I was able to get into the office the next available appointment the next day. Got right in and was taken care of, got right out everything explained beautifully, questions answered with a way to get in touch with dentist directly if I needed him after hours. Dr. Gerkin is fabulous. Great skill and great bedside manner. A very nice experience, thank you!

I'm a snowbird newly moved to Oro Valley. I needed to establish an "AZ dentist" for my semi annual cleaning. They got me in quickly, coordinated with my home dentist to get copies of my files and arranged to send my files from here back home so that I always have complete files in both places. My cleaning was thorough and pain free. Staff are very pleasant and professional. Dr. Gerkin was pleasant and efficient. I couldn't have asked for any better service. And my teeth feel great! I was going to try to arrange to have all my cleanings done back home, but this was so pleasant and professional, I think I will avoid that hassle and use them for my winter cleaning instead.

Been going to this office for several years. They are always friendly, professional and efficient. They do what they say they are going to do, give you a heads up about potential problems, and kindly remind you what you need to do for your overall oral health (without the lecture you may get elsewhere). Due to my medications it made my service a bit out of the norm. Dr Gerken could have told me he couldn't help me but instead he came up with an alternative solution. Very professional and friendly (as is his staff) and let me know details of procedures as he worked. Great experience.

I was informed of all the aspects of my treatment and felt confident I was in the right hands. I had a chipped front tooth repaired in November 2018 by a dentist in Oro Valley. I went back to that same dentist a week later to have it smoothed. It still was not correct so in December I went to a dentist in Minnesota to have it buffed again. That bonding broke off in February. I walked into Dr Len Gerkens office today with out an appointment. They worked me into the schedule and he replaced the bonding material. I not only feel a smoother surface but know from his dental skills that it will give me much better results! Dr. Gergen in my opinion is one very skilled dentist. I would recommend him to my friends. I will be goinpg back to him for my dental care.

I've dealt with gum and sensitive teeth issues my whole life . I was shown kindness and compassion about my sensitivity and given several different treatment options and recommendations to get everything under control. There is a very small town feel to this dental practice and everybody did a great job. I had a great experience as a new patient

I figured they would schedule me for another day if at all. However I was told I could come in at 9 AM that same morning. What a huge relief! Dr. Gerken and staff made me comfortable and informed me of my options for treatment. Never was there any pressure on me for expensive treatments or ongoing work. My tooth extraction was performed quickly and painlessly. I was very pleased with all aspects of my dental experience with Dr. Gerken and his staff. was not overly pleased with the hygienist. It was the first time I have ever had my teeth polished before they were cleaned and I had a considerable amount of mouth pain for several days afterword. I have generally had my teeth cleaned and polished about every six months and never had that much pain afterword.
