Treated very poorly. Wanted second opinion and Dr on call the day he got overdosed was very rude. He said he wanted a second opinion and she said it doesn't matter you are going to die anyway. Not cool or compassionate at all. Dr Hicks kept rushing him and he wanted the truth so he could make an informed decision. Nice at first but seemed stressed and would have preferred honesty. Before he went to Dr Hicks he said he felt better than he'd ever felt in his life. Diagnosed July 2, passed away on August 30 due to a shot that stopped his heart. I need closer and I think you owe us an apology nobody should have been treated like the way he was. I should have taken him up out of there when the other Dr said this to him Treated very poorly. Dr. Hicks is a wonderful doctor. He is knowledgeable, compationate, and kind! I also love his nurse practitioner Sarah Eckert!

The greatest dr I've ever meet He was my sister's dr and his team was great . He and his team every time we went they treated us so nice .And one last thing to say is I'd suggest this Dr.to anyone.

Baptist Health of Lexington is a team of excellence, no doubt, however you will find no better than Dr Lee G. Hicks for Hematology/Oncology! He has over 30years experience in his field, a Christian man, who cares about meeting each patients' individualized cancer needs.

He always listens to your concerns completely with other dra notes as well and try to run appropriate testing to diagnose your illness.

I cannot say enough about the kindness of Dr Hicks. Just 5 weeks ago I had a double mastectomy because of stage 1 breast cancer. I feared my first oncology appointment not knowing what my treatment would be. Upon entering the room, he smiled took my hand and said I have nothing but good news. He spoke to myself and my husband in terms we understood even taking a notepad out explaining how and what my cancer responded to by making notes for us. He was kind, compassionate and positive. I felt an immediate connection with him and great relief. He put me at ease. I cannot say enough about the kindness of Dr Hicks.
