Dr Congleton was very thorough with my consultation. He told me all my options and explained them all to me. We reached a decision on my course of treatment that was more than satisfactory. I am now looking forward to starting my course of treatment.

He treated my son for difficulty urinating and found a large kidney stone in the bladder & an enlarged prostate. After the procedure my son could still not urinate. ( Dr.had to look into the bladder) 8 weeks later after daily self cath & a continuous foley initially & a loss of 40 pounds , he ended up in the ER with sepsis only 2 days prior to see this doctor! Many blood clots removed & with a diagnosis of bladder cancer that has invaded the bladder muscle . How could this doctor have not seen & or realized there was a more serious problem? I would not ever recommend taking a loved one to him.

Not a good experience! I've had 3 uti's within the 1st month after my bladder procedure. I've had to call repeatedly to have a prescription called in after leaving a urine sample each time, and the last time, he only prescribed a 3 day supply of antibiotic. Still have the infection! Going to the walk in clinic today.

Please don’t use this Dr. His shotty job cost me several recurring surgeries and money. I had to have a reconstruction from a better qualified Dr to fix my issues

This Doctor allowed a 64 year old female veteran of the US Army fall face first off a ER Gurney in Knoxville Tennessee. This Doctor treated her and left the room, leaving her unattended on an elevated gurney with both side rails down. This Doctor or the hospital has accepted no responsibility for their actions.

I would not recommend. I was forced to under go a procedure under "local" anesthetic that was torture. The anesthetic did nothing, nor was he the least bit concerned that I was in that much pain. His focus seems to be rushing through as many patients as possible without caring about any of them.

Amazing doctor! Dr Congelton followed up with me timely and personally. I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctor himself call me. It has always been their nurse, but not this time. Super impressive!

I have definitely had positive experiences with Dr Congleton. Due to a large kidney stone in my left kidney, I had to have a procedure to break it up. He did an excellent job.

Dr. Congleton's office is the most unhelpful staff I have ever seen in a Dr. Office. They DO NOT take time to make sure their patients are taken care of and it takes DAYS to get medication called in AFTER a culture comes back showing an infection. During that time you just have to live with the fever and paid and hope you don't end up in the hospital. THEN they send you for a pic line and don't take the time to make sure the order gets to the appropriate place so you get there and no order so you leave. They say they resent it so you go back....still no order. Turns out they are sending the order to the WRONG FAX NUMBER! My mother is 76 years old and should not have to but up with their BS. If you don't want to truly take care of people find a different job! 01-20-2020 It has been well over a month and my mom's surgery is STILL NOT SCHEDULED. There is only one person I can get on the phone to talk to me and she is a very sweet nurse but there is only so much she can do. I guess my only other option is to file a complaint on the facility with TN Department of Health. Today they tell me that they are trying to schedule her for February 4th. More than a month after they tell her that this is an aggressive bacteria and if they don't get the stones out she won't be around long. Yes, that is exactly what he told her on January 2nd when he called to give her the results of her test. If you call the "Patient Advocate" number they give you, it is a recorded message. I asked why the person "Amber" that is supposed to schedule the surgery hasn't returned any of my mother's nor my phone calls, they said she is just covered up. I guess that's what I can say at my mom's funeral. She died from a bacterial infection from having her kidney 3/4 full of stones because the scheduling clerk was covered up and couldn't get her scheduled to take care of her. Absolutely unacceptable. Unorganized to say the least. My wife was told after two days of waiting and numerous phone calls that she had a prescription being called in finally. After standing at Walmart for an hour waiting, the pharmacist called the on duty person who called me 20 minutes later stating there would be no prescription the test was negative. Immediately after that my wife went to the walk in clinic and received treatment for her symptoms. Absolutely terrible to be lied to and misinformed from healthcare providers and suffer in pain needlessly.

I’ve been seeing Dr., Congleton for a little over a year! He’s very professional and a straight shooter and has a good bedside manner with his patients ( that is hard to find these days) and has always treated me with respect and tries to find out what the problem is! The office staff and nurses are good also! My only problem is not with his office but I have to have Urine Cultures pretty frequently and the lab that does them have lost, misplaced or whatever they do with them! He has ordered 5 in the past 1 year and 3 times they lost them!! It wouldn’t be a big deal if I didn’t live 48 miles away.... so I can’t hop in the car to give them another one! Thank a is the only thing I don’t like!

My husband went to Dr. Congleton on Aug. 7, 2019, after a CT scan showed he had a kidney stone. His visit with Dr. Congleton was about 5 minutes and he was told he would have to have a surgical procedure to remove the stone, since it was too large to pass. My husband was told they would be in touch with him. At that time we both assumed it would be done in the next day or two. No one ever called him, he called the office and put on hold, cut off, told too many calls coming in - be 15 minute wait, etc. This went on for almost 2 weeks. My husband was always the one to call, his office never made one attempt to call him. At the end of over 2 weeks, and after he kept calling, he was told procedure would be done on Sept. 5, which was 4 weeks and a day from the initial visit. In frustration, we called another urologist at another practice on Friday, saw him on Monday, and had the surgical procedure today, Tuesday - a 2 day deal. Would never go back to Dr. Congleton.

Very unorganized office combined with Dr Congleton lack of attention to details and apparent lack of interest to correct serious office issues is concerning

I have had to fight with this office every time my mother gets a UTI. She is currently on IV antibiotics and it took me 2 days to get them to read a culture report and call in an antibiotics. Now that she finished the 7 days of that they have had her latest culture for 2 days and haven't had a chance to read it. They can only say, yes it is a positive test but the Dr. will have to review to see what to do. By all means, lets wait till she is running a fever again and ends up in the hospital AGAIN! Dr. is great, staff is there for a check, not to help people. They are terrible.

Horrible. Unprofessional. Husband had an prostate infection and took 3 days to call in antibiotics, after 4 calls. Then when called in they called in wrong medication. Took another 4 days after that. Sat in waiting room for 2 hours, after watching at least 10 people that came in after us get taken back. Done a urinals got the bill for $800 for one visit. Just for a pee test. Go somewhere else. You will regret it if you dont. Promise.

Dr. Congleton is a fantastic doctor, a very kind, patient physician. I had a stroke, was in a nursing home for 7 months, came home and was completely incontinent at night (this, by the way, has nothing to do with being in a nursing home, rather my post stroke). I saw Dr. Congleton when I came home and he very patiently worked with me and I am now completely continent again. He is continuing to address my stress incontinence, etc. I think the world of this physician and his nurse practitioner.

TERRIBLE doctor. DO NOT see this man. He is nothing but a crook and doesn't care about his patients. He's nearly killed me. My cancer has spread due to a botched prostate removal where the cancer was 100% contained. He inserted a cath without gloves, proper sterilization, etc. I've had numerous complications and now I'm in hospice all because of this horrible man.

I sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half without being seen. They asked me to come in 30 minutes early to do paperwork I was about 15 minutes earlier than that. I finally left an hour and 15 minutes after my original appointment. I saw probably 12 patients come in and leave and not be called in. I would not refer this office to anyone.

Dr. Congleton has been my urologist for several years. He completes a through prostate exam, listens to your questions, and provides complete answers. His conservative approach when assessing any issues, provides me with confidence he has my best interests in mind for his decision making.

He has been my urologist for many years and always, of course, sees me when I am at my worst; in pain and passing a kidney stone. He has performed several procedures on me for kidney stones and I feel comfortable when I leave his office because I know I have been cared for by one of the best in the urology field. He has a way of making you feel at ease when you are talking to him during an appointment and he makes sure you understand what is going on and what he is going to do.
