Best doctor ever

I've been with Dr. Heap since before she was with Facey and I followed her over to Facey. Not only is she a wonderful doctor but she cares. I told her when I first met her I don't like taking medications and she never "pushes" them on me like other doctors have in the past. She recomends and I listen. I have complete trust in her.

Dr. Heap is very thorough and was helpful in recommending - not pushing me - but recommending a prescription medication to help me quit smoking after other ways have failed. I appreciated not getting a sermon about it because it is, in itself, a challenging habit to quit.

Dr. Heap listened to me, checked my records, and made a referral for X-rays. Also checked my blood pressure after the nurse checked it twice and found it a little high. The doctor wanted to see if it had come down, which it had. I felt well taken care of.

Dr. Heap has been my Primary Care Physician for the last 20 years; she is excellent; and Facey is the best medical group that she has been associated with.

Dr. Heap takes time to go over medical history and listens to concerns. She is kind, soft spoken, and a trusted physician. I have received routine vaccinations and blood work at her office which is convenient. My advice is to prepare a health-related list of things to bring up during your annual physical so she can answer questions/address concerns. She replies to email concerns through MyChart in a timely manner as does her nurse. Finally, her staff (at Facey Medical Group) is very nice and very helpful.

I've had a few issues with Dr. Heap. The first one is that she doens't take notes and I ended up having to do the same thing twice. Last time I was there I went to request referral to dermatologist as I have cancer skin in the family and check every year. She told me that she is the one to check (she's not a dermatologist). I complained about a few tags in my face, that I had removed before in Florida. She said she could do it during the consultation. Days later I receive a co pay of $600 and she charged $2500 from my health insurance for a service I did not know it went beyond a consultation and took her literally 2 minutes. She never told me she was charging separately for this. And surprising I have paid for exact the same procedure last year at a dermatologist office exact $200!!! How come she charges 10 times more and she's not even a dermatologist! It's not about the money! It's about the principle. Never going back.

I have a lot of issues with Dr Heap, the biggest is that she does not listen or take accurate notes. She doesn’t seem to care very much about the problems I came to her with and often times talks over me. I would like a new doctor.

Dr. Heap is very efficient and thorough. I am happy she helped me get referrals so quickly since I had such a bad experience before with other groups. Her staff is great and very friendly that is what patients need during any issue that they may be facing.

I just returned from visiting doctor Heap for an annual physical check-up. When I read the reviews I was a bit concerned. However Dr Heap was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and through. I didn't feel that she was rushed at all. The wait time was minimal, and all my questions and concerns were addressed in a direct and clear manner. I couldn't really ask for anything more from a family doctor
