Dr.Louie is an amazing dentist. He is knowledgeable and has a very calm demeanor with children. He helps to ease any worry with his calming presence and how he explains things to them. My son never noticed when he was given a needle due to his approach. They are thorough yet efficient with time so my kids are never upset about going to the dentist. We drive 45 minutes just to see them.
Dr. Louie is wonderful dentist. He is great with my children. We just love him so much.
I love Dr. Louie! I grew up going to him as a child, and I now bring my own children to him. He is very good with my son and I remember loving him when I was little! He made enough of an impact on me, that I choose to drive an hour to Dover JUST so my kids can have him be their dentist! :) he calls the drill "mr bumpy" and makes it less scary for them! My son actually loves going there. I am surprised some people thought his bedside manner was bad. He has always been great for us!
Dr. Louie is gentle and takes his time with my children to make them feel safe and comfortable with dentistry. My son has Autism, and while other dentists would use sedation to work on his mouth, Dr. Louie uses therapeutic use of self to bring a trusting relationship, therefore is no need for sedation.
I would agree with the previous comment. I feel him and his staff are almost bothered by a child that will not remain still. I understand some kids have complete meltdowns but if you are going into the field of Pediatric (anything) your bedside manner should be much better. I am currently seeking a new dentist as my daughter has never had this reaction to any medical environment. We have been twice now and it is not improving.
He is always available, kind and knowledgeable... he is amazing with kids absolutely adore him and his staff
In a pediatric dentist I would expect bedside manner to be a bit more social and understanding. Dr. Louie get right to business little if any conversation with the parents or child. His calming techniques are limited to telling the child this will not hurt. If there is lingering hesitation with the child his tone becomes more authorititive than caring. Explicitly telling my child he would get mad if he/ she did not cooperate. There is an overall disconnect between the patients and doctor.
Dr Louie is the best pediatric dentist ever. My son looks forward to his visits!
