If there are any multicultural or person-centered ethical guidelines to being a psychiatrist, Dr. Greenman has ignored them. A man with no sympathy asking his patients to simply relive every detail of their trauma in 40 minutes or face scrutiny and impatience. It took me almost year of therapy just to be able to verbalize barely half the things that had happened to me and build the courage to see a psychiatrist. It feels like a year of progress was undone after being embarrassed and spoken down to by Dr. Greenman because I was scared and he didn’t have time for that. Why do doctors go into the field of helping if unable to be kind and understanding? Ask Dr. Greenman.
