Lavena Morgan

My wife's regular OB told us to go to the hospital after an NST. My wife's OB also said that due to her breathing, she would more than likely have a c section in the next few day. After arriving at the hospital, Dr. Morgan made sure to inform my wife, who has extremely debilitating asthma, that she is giving a natural birth because said asthma was induced by anxiety. We've had a c section scheduled for quite awhile and I'm not quite sure where Dr. Morgan was coming from with her conclusions. Unfortunately, our interaction made our situation more stressful and we felt more confused than ever about what was happening with the pregnancy.

I was a fairly satisfied patient of Dr. Morgan for many years - until I turned 65. Then, when I called to make my annual appointment I was told by her office staff that Dr. Morgan would no longer see me because I was now on Medicare. Further, I was told that she doesn't see patients on Medicare (even established ones, like me - I tried to plea my case) because "she doesn't make enough money on Medicare patients. BUT, if I had a complicated GYN surgery to perform, she'd be happy to take me." Like hell. Both my PCP and new OB/GYN doctors responded in horror at what I was told and both said, "That's unethical!" My new OB/GYN also added that she could certainly afford a few Medicare patients, and underlined "certainly". Shame on you Dr. Morgan! Even if YOU didn't personally tell me this, it was VERY clear that was the message you gave your office staff.

Dr. Morgan didn't explain procedures and tests. She did not give me the option to refuse consent. She ignored my concerns and desires for treatment. She dropped me as a patient half way through my pregnancy making me scramble to find a provider. She doesn't met the level of care and concern I expect from a medical professional.

Dr. Morgan has been my OB/GYN for the past 14 years. She is always willing to listen to concerns and has an awesome bedside manner! She never makes me feel like she is in a rush. I would recommend her to family or friends.

Dr morgan is absolutely amazing. She delivered my son in 2013 everything was a breeze. She was so assuring very calm when I was nervous. She made the whole process that much easier. I will never go anywhere else! My aunt recommended me to her. I recommend my sister in law and cousin and we’ve all been more than pleased with her! I highly recommend her!

My gosh I hope I never have to see anyone else!!! Such a warm and fun doctor to calm my nerves and straight forward with the information. Amazingly calm and exactly what my husband and I needed in the delivery room. Honestly, I don't think things could have gone any easier! Love love love Dr. Morgan!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Morgan. She takes time to listen and provides trustworthy consultation. I had a c-section with my first baby, and she took my personal and family history into consideration when we decided to plan for the procedure. She really made me feel at ease and took extra special care of me. I really appreciate it! She is sympathetic and kind.

She has a way of making you feel like you're wasting her time and rushes appointments. I waited in the exam room longer than most appointments. She was incredibly condescending, even during labor. I won't be going back, connecting with my doctor is important to me and I never felt that I was important to her. I felt like another task on her check list.
