I became her patient in Feb 2017- a 73 year old with stage 4 oc. I very much appreciated her calm presentation of facts and options and her skill as a surgeon. I am now in remission and credit her w/ getting me off on the right track.

Dr. Havrilesky is talent, and excellent in her field with decades of experience and a stellar team. She has excellent bedside manner, is straight and to the point, but in a way that I felt absolutely cared for as a patient, with all of my choices and needs considered. I had an open abdominal surgery to remove a mass and total hysterectomy. The surgery went beautifully, my incision is healing so nicely. No one likes surgery, but what could have been a horrific experience for me was made as painless as possible in all ways by Dr. Havrilesky and her team. I trust her to take care of my future oncology needs with the utmost care and precision. If you need a referral to a gyn onc, choose her. With advanced cancer staring at me, I found Dr. H. and her exceptional team. They outlined my options and recommendations then set up all my appointments so I only needed to be focused on myself. Incredible care. Incredible staff. If I could give them 2 extra stars-- I would!

Very professional and knows her stuff. She made me feel very comfortable and answered all questions I had. She is very proactive and I am glad to have her as my doctor.

Dr. H was very professional and reassured me that I was in great hands. The support team at Duke for surgery and Duke Raleigh for chemo was outstanding. They walked me through the complications and remedies for chemo side-effects and the surgery was long but without complication. If you have advanced ovarian cancer, your care with Dr. H and her team will be top notch.
