She's the best! She's my #2 favorite doctor behind the one who saved my life. She's very knowledgeable. I've learned a lot about myself and my disease while she treats me. She's a great listener. Everything I say about what's wrong is potentially relevant and she's interested to hear it. She's never disregarded anything I've said. I can always get a message to her and get a response in good time, whether I call or send her a message through their portal. She's just an amazing, kind doctor. Truly, she's a sweetheart. She has wasted precious time. And lacks the experience with my disorder. She needs to be more truthful up front and not consult colleagues or not see you for months and only want to use virtual visits. I dont think she realizes the severity of my disorder to waste my time. Like this pathetic care!

The follow-up at this office is awful. I was diagnosed by the doctor (after testing) with osteoporosis and was told someone would call me about the recommended treatment plan. It’s been more than a month! I haven’t gotten a call and I have called the office at least 6 times and left messages and NO ONE has called me back. I’m so frustrated that I’m planning to leave the practice and go to another doctor.
She is a competent rheumatologist, with a friendly staff. They work tirelessly to get insurance approval for the drugs needed for my condition. She reads her past notes and already knows your history. Which seems so repetitive at other practices.
The staff at this facility are unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I am a Veteran from OEF/OIF war, and while I have private insurance, the Bay Pines VA Medical Center had their only Rheumatologist retired and were therefore referring me out to the community for care. Since all my care is handled by AdventHealth, I asked that they would please schedule me with Dr. Cruse’s office. The VA employee, call me back after several hours of calls and arguments, very sad to tell me that the staff at Dr. Cruse office said they where going to call Optum, the third party (insurance network) that handles insurance claims for the VA now that they switch over from triwest, telling her that they have stated time and time again that they don’t want to care for their patients because of issues getting paid by their insurance network. I am sadden to hear, number 1, that they are refusing care to Veterans because of money, number 2, how they treated this professional employee who dedicated her life to the service of those who risks theirs for others when the problem came from a third party, and 3 that they would be willing to take the time and go through the trouble of removing themselves from the Optum Network, but they couldn’t take the time to listen and see that I actually have private insurance and that I am already under AdventHealth’s network of care. I was 15 minutes early for my appt with Dr. Cruse. The assistant asked me questions; under 10 minutes. I waited in the room for the doctor for over an hour! If I could give less than one star I would. This by far is the worst Dr I have ever seen and unfortunately due to an autoimmune disorder, I’ve seen quite a few. First appointment wasn’t too bad but then it all went bad quick. She wanted lab tests done and my medical charts from other Drs. Called before next appointment to make sure they had the records and lab results was assured they did and had to treatment plans to discuss with me. Went to my appointment waited 2 1/2 hours in the small appointment room. I thought I was forgotten about. The dr finally comes in and says they don’t have the records and she never gave any treatment plans I’ll have to make another appointment and come back. What? My copay for this Dr is $100 I’m not paying it..... I refuse....then they say I need X-rays.... go get the X-rays had it done two weeks ago my primary care Dr and my allergist both called me with the results but this Dr still hasn’t called me and she ordered them! I’m in desperate need of a medicine that only rheumatologist give. My husband is going to pick up my records now as we have been trying to get a hold of them for a week but they are too busy and don’t answer. Ridiculous poor treatment. Disgrace and disrespectful. While Dr. Cruse is polite, I am unenthused with the level of her care. She listened to me but seemed to blame my autoimmune disease symptoms on me, as if I have control over having this disease. When she checked for arthritis in my feet, she felt through my shoes, which i found very odd. She recommended nothing to me to relieve current symptoms and instead gave me several referrals for more doctors visits and testing. She also seems to be a "fat shamer" and did nothing to get to know me as a patient whatsoever. All of her recommendations were very low common denominator suggestions. Her staff was nice though. I have since found a new rheumatogist who gave me medications for my symptoms and is interested in giving me higher levels of care. I know Dr Cruse runs late due to patients needing their attention longer than usual. Saying that, I think she is a great dr and it is worth the wait.
I recommend Dr. Cruse. She is a great doctor and easy to work with as a patient. She is very knowledgeable and takes time explaining things and giving you options. I like having a doctor that is thorough. Yes the wait isn't the shortest but I feel like they try their best to accommodate you.

I started with Dr. Cruse about 8 months ago, she is a fantastic doctor that takes time with each one of her patients. She is detailed and will explain your situation so you can understand exactly where you stand. Prior to coming to her I read her reviews and majority talk about the wait time and staff. Well the wait time can be long sometimes but just know she will take the same time with you, I would rather wait for a doctor that has my best interest at heart vs. one that rushes. What an absolute nightmare! From going weeks without anyone answering the phones, to rude office staff. I would NEVER send my loved ones to this facility. Their patient to caregiver ratio is insane. Expect to sit for hours in the waiting room... with an appointment. Expect to go months without seeing a doctor. I went in for my high blood pressure. The cuff the nurse used was leaking air and read wrong. Dr. Cruse had the same nurse take my bp again with the same malfunctioning cuff. I was told to check my personal home cuff with the fire station. So, I went to Publix. In the dr office my bp read 117/74. At Publix it was 165/101. The nurse also added 100lbs to my weight in my chart. My visit was over 3 hours 2.75 waiting. Office dirty, smells horrible. There were open vials & dirty equipment.
While I understand the poor caring attitude and lackluster people skills of Dr Cruz med staff; I have no negative remarks about Dr Cruz. If signed up with the online patient portal, one can access Dr Cruz rather easily. I have sent her a message that I needed to see her due to a flare. She responded and said the staff will contact me to come in. I called the office and was scheduled in 2 days. She spent 45 minutes with me discussing treatment options. We chose a treatment. This office is one of the worst administered doctor's offices I have ever experienced. The wait times for appointments are ridiculous, you have to call at least 1-2 months out. Then appointment day, the wait time in the waiting room is over an hour and half if not more. Last year I tried to get exams and x-rays done, the office staff gave me stamped scripts that never worked, and I never got replacements so no xrays were possible. Shame since the Doctor is good, but the office is the worse.

Medical experience aside, this is the most poorly run medical office I have ever encountered. Terrible time management, VERY long wait times past appt time to see doctor, staff is terrible, in-house lab work sloppy, incomplete, and incorrect. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Too many mistakes and no consideration for the patients. I will be looking elsewhere for a doctor.
