Dr. Larry T Todd JR.

Trust me when I say I really did the research and did not decide to have a back fusion (2 levels) lightly. I have seen many Doctors about my situation over many years. Dr Todd was recommended by another Dr that I completely loved however, he does not do surgery. I trusted Dr Todd and went into surgery with only possible thoughts. I can honestly say I could have never taken one pain pill post op. I took 1/2 Ozy the first week at bedtime just to help with sleep as it is difficult to get in comfortable positions and to change positions. Based on my experience ( I know everyone is different) this so far has been almost too good to be true. I am 6 wks post op and hoping the rest of my recovery goes as well.

Dr. Todd is absolutely amazing. I had Back surgery September 30th of 2021. He explained everything he was going to do. Was caring and compassionate. My back surgery went so well and made me feel so much bettter. Thank you Dr Todd

Super friendly staff, Dr. Todd is very nice, caring and very knowledgeable. He shows a genuine interest and thoroughly explains everything so that you can understand. Only small negative is that I wish they had more surgical openings.

My first visit had a hiccup with it being no fault of the doctor or staff. My CD did not have any images downloaded to it. They were quick to reschedule me for 2 days later after viewing a new CD with MRI images. I have surgery coming up in 2 weeks. I am at total ease about surgery as I had several people recommend Dr. Todd to me.

I met Dr Todd in January, I had been having issues for years but this last year I couldn’t get relief from the pain. I’ve been cleaning houses for 30 years and love my job I’m 61 and not ready to quit . Dr Todd explained thoroughly what type of surgery I would need , he said he’d give me my life back and I believed him . I had the surgery Feb 1 everything went well , the hospital stay and care was excellent. I’m almost to the end of my 3 month recovery it’s been the hardest part just because of the limitations , but I’ve been in little to no pain and I’m so looking forward with hope to getting my life back . I’m recommending Dr Todd to everyone I know who are in need of a gifted surgeon.

When results came back, went in for follow up, he never even bothered to review them with me or see me. He had his assistant do it. She was wonderful by the way, but he didn’t even enter the room. Doesn’t even deserve one star. Never have I scheduled an appointment with a doctor and didn’t get to even see the doctor. The only good that came of this was I got the MRI so I could take it to a different Doctor that actually would care. WELL SAID! AGREED!!! I felt the same way when I left the appt. Every time I have been seen at the Dr’s office I am treated very well. The service is fast but yet thorough. When I had my surgery I was again treated respectfully. They made sure that my needs were met in a timely manner even though they were very short staffed. I would definitely recommend this facility and staff.

Dr.Todd layed out the entire process and has been great! I am still healing and his staff is great!

I have been dealing with this back pain for years. Dr. Todd cleaned around my L5, S1 and removed a buldging disc. I am 3 1/2 weeks out of my surgery and I can't explain how much better I feel. I realize I'm still healing right now, but I tell the difference already. I can't thank Dr. Todd enough. He was fantastic!

He met with me on first visit, sent me for an MRI, had me back for a return visit, but never saw me. He sent his assistant to tell me surgery was not an option. She offered me no alternatives, only showed me a printout of the MRI and showed me where the discs were bulged. Question. Why am I paying for a specialist, and have to settle for an unqualified assistant? I am 82 and I left that office feeling that they didn't see any future in helping someone they thought was too close to dead. Why else did he not tell me a reason? I am very physically active, cut my one acre of grass, climb my apple and peach tree to prune and do my own housework in a 3,000 sq. ft. house. I am not even close to quitting. I just wanted some help with my back pain.

Dr. Larry Todd is an excellent spine physician. He gave me five options and I had actually exhausted four of them. The only thing left was surgery. He took such good care of me, and I trust him completely. He is not only concerned about the surgery but is totally concerned about the recovery and healing process. This makes me feel so safe and so well taken care of. I would highly recommend Dr. Todd fir spinal health needs.

My very first time to the office was great! Everyone was very friendly! When I first arrived and saw how many people was there checking in and already checked in I was worried I would be waiting a while but I didn't wait long at all. The front desk was well organized and quick at registering patients. It wasn't long and I was back in a room. I didn't have to wait long in my room before someone came in and went over my paperwork with me and it wasn't long after that Dr. Todd was there to evaluate me as well. Dr. Todd was very friendly and compassionate and made me feel good about my appointment. I would highly recommend Dr.Todd and his staff to anyone needing his expertise! Thanks Dr. Todd and staff! It's only been 2 weeks since my surgery so still in the healing process for a while.. but Dr Todd seemed awesome and got I'm and got my spine taken care of. 3 disks I'm lower back on top of one that was done 15 years ago.. Cass was great in getting everything set up and is always there when I had questions!! The entire staff at new Albany is the best you will ever find!!!! I met with Dr Todd for my initial visit and consultation which went better than I expected. He clearly explained options for my spinal issues. I decided to select my pain management physician near Lima Ohio to administer a series of spinal injections and Dr Todd was completely supportive of my choice. I called him back when I failed to get any relief from those steroid injections and met with his physicians assistant. She showed the same concern as he did when we discussed next steps. We've scheduled my surgery for mid December. Wish us luck and please look for more to come.

Dr. Todd has a pleasant "bedside manner”. He made me feel comfortable and able to trust in his skill and abilities. After just one visit we schedule surgery for my back. We will see how it goes. I am optimistic.

Dr. Todd has been a real hero to me, having done both of my back surgeries over the past 5 years. Sciatica and arthritis has made it very difficult for me. I am experiencing zero pain and have really no limitations. Very grateful to him, and his entire team! Class act, leading a class organization.

Cass, his secretary is awesome. I am planning lower back surgery 1st of year 2022 because of other scheduling issues. I have complete confidence that Dr. Todd will get rid of my lower back pain in my L4 and L5 and remove the parents first that are poking my nerves.. I will come back on and give her for years after my surgery in 2022

Our home residents is in Lima, Ohio and Dr. Todd was highly recommend by my Family Physician ( Dr. William Leahy ) and by Dr. Gillis and by Elida Staff and Friends. My condition deteriorated very quickly from July 26 - October 13. I was unable to work starting on September 29th. I had my MRI scheduled on the morning of September 29th and Dr. Gillis evaluated the MRI that same afternoon and referred me to Dr. Todd in New Albany, Ohio ASAP. I was scheduled to see Dr. Todd on October 13th. I called his office on October 4th to see if they had any openings to see me earlier, they said no, but we’ll put you on a list. I called again on Oct. 5th and the receptionist said Floyd how are you doing? I said I’m in a lot of pain and I don’t think that I’ll be able to walk by October 13th. She put me on hold and with in a minute she said we can see you tomorrow October 6th. Dr. Todd evaluated me and my MRI and said I’m putting you on a timetable. I had surgery on October 14, while in the recovery room this Doctor said you were a perfect patient. Dr. Todd came to my side later on and said Kevin you had more damage in there than the MRI revealed and I fixed everything. He said the next 10 days you will experience a lot of pain and I will see you soon my Friend. The only pain I’ve experienced has been Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Only taking Tylenol as need and I started walking outside on October 18th. My digestive system is almost back to normal and I have a good appetite. I was welcomed with open arms with Dr. Todd and all his Team and Surgical team along with his hospital Staff. I’m a blessed person, I will see Dr. Todd on November 10th, 2021. Dr. Todd was professional, friendly, and concerned with my care from the first appointment to the follow up after my surgery. It was a big surgery, and I was terrified. But it went as well as it could, considering how extensive it was.

One of the best Dr.s I have ever had to deal with. He treats you like he cares about you and your wellbeing and not just another patient. His staff is topnotch and extremely friendly and helpful.

Dr. Larry Todd has completed two surgeries where my pain was extreme. The 1st was my lower back and then my neck. They were about 5 years apart. The healing of my surgery itself was much less painful than any prior to it. I am thankful to God for Dr. Todd. Thank you Larry! Remember we say PERFECT! and perfect it was!!!!

He immediately put me at ease the first visit. Wry knowledgeable and kind. Actually listened to my concerns. Did the surgery and fixed my back, very caring and genuine. The entire office staff is phenomenal!

After reviewing my CT Scan Dr. Todd wouldn't even see me. He sent his assistant in to tell me he can't do anything for me. Ortho-Neuro is not really concerned about helping get a patient's need cared for unless they are sure it is an easy fix for fast money. I wonder if they understand the Hippocratic Oath or maybe for them it's a Hippo-critic Oath!
