Larry Fishman

My younger brother went to Dr Fishman for knee surgery. Several months after the initial consult. a CBC was done, and Fishman put him in the hospital a week later. The knee surgery never took place, as my brother's (56 years old and previously very good general health) health was not strong enough to expect recovery. I looked at his CBC and several items made it obvious he needed further testing, which was never ordered. We got him out and took him to the Tampa General Emergency Facility in Brandon. Less than 4 hours later he was diagnosed with leukemia. Despite all efforts at Tampa General, my brother was dead in 5 weeks. My brother's general practitioner had a CBC done about 5 months prior to the expected date of knee surgery. Both CBC tests showed the same kidney and blood count issues. In the USA. more than 200,000 people a year die from medical neglect and misadventure, and the doctors are never punished.

He was beyond rude! He had my wife in tears with his yelling at me! He never examined me physically or even asked questions! He is a paid hired gun by insurance companies!

this highly skilled provider lacks communication skills

2008 I had a discectomy with fusion On C4 and C5. I highly recommend him. Now keep in mind nothing will after a surgery like that will ever be 100% again. Exercise, do therapy, and stretch! He made my life better ten fold. I have 2 children and work out every day. I am 40 years old now. I could t even move before I saw him. Thank you for my life back Doctor Fishman.

About 15 yrs ago Dr Fishman opérate on my hands for severe carpal tunnel syndrome that I have suffered for several years until I could not move my hands anymore. Until today I sleep like a baby thanks to God and Dr Fishman for given me my hands and my life back.God Bless Dr Fishman ??

Saw Dr. Fishman in the Villages for my spine injuries sustained after a car accident. He did a great job and made me feel comfortable

Excellent Spine Surgeon. Did not know that neurosurgeons also perform spine surgery. Dr. Larry Fishman was great and I was comfortable with him doing my ACDF surgery. My neck pain was so horrible before I came to see him and he immediately recommended me to get a fusion due to the herniated discs in my neck. I could not sleep without waking up every two ours and my arm being numb. Now I am able to do a lot more and I can finally sleep again. Thank you so much for helping me!

Hi my name is Michael worthy I was a patient of dr. Fishman in the year 2000. My wife and I was told that he would be making a 2-inch incision to repair a disk. After surgery I awoke with a 12in incision from the crack of my butt up to middle of my back. There was no herniated disc and his explanation was there were bone spurs. Even if that you did not fix the problem. He left my body and such destruction with scar tissue and damage but I was unable to work. Two years later I was on disability and have been ever since. I am in worse shape than I ever was when I went to see this guy. He cared more about his ostrich skin boots than he did about me. He is absolutely ruined my quality of life. Please take this as a warning do your homework. I would not take my dog to him. He was the rudest unprofessional doctor that I have ever been to. I have made this comment so many years later because I scene advertisement and different locations and had to comment. This was my experience.

An awesome spine surgeon that helped me with my back pain. Did not trust to go to anyone but a neurosurgeon!

Did a VP Shunt on my son years ago and now just writing this review, but forgot about how good of a surgeon Dr. Larry Fishman is.

I thought I was doing well by having the chief of neurosurgery do my neck infusion. When I woke up I was screaming in pain and he already left. He came back and told me that my payment was not due to my surgery. I didn’t have pain from my head to my toes until the doctor and he didn’t even care and discharge me three weeks later after ripping my collar and padding. I would never use him again and I would never recommend him to anyone else!

Now even though it's been almost 5 years and the same wrist is acting like it did prior I am very confident it will also be handled quick and mostly pain free. (No surgery is pain free) if you are looking for a Dr that will baby you or sugar coat keep looking. Dr Fishman is a professional.

Dr. Fishman was a second opinion and we are so glad we did. He was very straight forward with regards to my surgery. (I had the same surgery 6 months prior with another physician) My husband and I felt immediate confidence in Dr. Fishman. I feel we made the best choice in choosing him.

I feel much better than expected. No pain! Everyone at Dr. Fishman's was so helpful.

Back surgery. He was easy to understand, listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and did an excellent job.

Dr Fishman insulted me by calling my surgical history an experiment & offered no guidance. He was disrespectful, rude, didnt review my records. He lacks compassion and concern for a patient's well being. He is arrogant & doesn't listen. I left his office with no help. He wasted my time & talked down to me. He is not knowledgeable or caring which makes him a dangerous doctor. I don't trust him at all. This was a horrible experience for me.
