Dr. Lanny Moskowitz

This last visit with Dr. Moskowitz was no different than any of the others over the last 37 years...excellent. Dr. Moskowitz has been our family doctor since he opened his first practice in Harwinton, CT in 1986. A true "family doctor", he was our sons pediatrician as well. Over the years he has provided excellent care and advice, has always made himself available and always stayed on top of things, calling us at home early in the morning or late in the evening to make sure we were informed or just to check to see how things were progressing. Never assumed or took anything for granted, always tested and double checked to be sure. Always listened and paid attention to what we were saying and spoke to us and explained things in layman's terms so that we clearly understood. Not just our doctor, but a friend as well. When he announced that he would be retiring on April 1, 2023 we had mixed emotions. Sadness that we would have to find another doctor, but happiness for he and his family. This is a well earned and deserved retirement. There will be someone to take his place, but in our minds no one will ever replace him. Congratulations, Dr. Moskowitz! Thank You so very much for all you did, and may you have a long, happy and healthy retirement!

A Veteran Family Doctor who will be missed when retired. Have your younger staff take some lessons from Lanny before he leaves.

Dr Moskowitz shared so much compassion with me at my recent visit and was very concerned, yet optimistic, regarding the brain surgery I was to have in just three days. He is a fine PCP with whom I feel very fortunate to experience his care.

On time, efficient. Asks questions, listens and gives appropriate advise.

Appointment was started right on time. Dr. Moskowitz covered all items of concern. I was very satisfied with everything and look forward to my next scheduled appointment.

Dr Moskowitz took time to talk to me during my annual physical. He was truly interested in my overall health and well being. The appointment was not rushed at all.

I was waited on immediately after entering the office & was taken into the patient room by Reagan. She was pleasant as usual & took my vital signs. After she was done Dr Moskowitz came in within 5 minutes with a pleasant greeting as always. He reviewed my current medications & any problems I had. He is always cheerful & concerned with my health. We were done in about 15 minutes. The receptionist went over my paperwork & took my my co pay. Very good GP, very knowledgeable, excellent "bedside manner", fully discusses what he is doing and why

I have been very happy as a new patient. Dr Moskowitz listens and follows up on any concerns. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

I had been with a very good primary care doctor, but as it goes with the good ones, he became very hard to consult with, and to get an appointment. His group was different from the others providers, which also didn't make it any easier to share information: I have several specialists in the Hartford Healthcare group, who share the "My Chart" portal. All these doctors can track my visits, testing, and medications. I was happy to find that Dr. Moskowitz was joining a HHC near me. I feel that I'm getting the individual attention, and resources from all my caregivers. I have several serious medical issues, and appreciate the coordination. As for Dr. Moskowitz, he is personable, attentive and thorough. Can't do better than that!. In a time when most Health Care professionals seem more concerned with profit than patient care it's very refreshing to meet and be under the care of someone who exhibits genuine concern. Dr. Moskowitz went out of his way to order extra tests needed by other Specialists on a moments notice and takes the time to personally call you with lab results. There should be more like him. This guy creeped me out as a child. I ended up going to Dr. Markowski who was awesome. Moskowitz ended up killing a man...Crazy...

I wonder why Dr Moscowitz would tell a 90+ year old patient that he’s going to wait a few months before getting the Covid vaccine? That patient is listening to his opinion and is also waiting months before getting the shot? Why put a patient at Rick like that? I think that is very poor patient care.

Dr Moskowitz is a very nice person but a very poor doctor. He's fine for a young healthy person who only needs annual physicals and/or vaccinations. However, it has been my experience when I had something seriously wrong with me he was unable to diagnose it. I had to take it upon myself to seek out the help I needed from specialists. I was tested three or four times, at my request, for Lyme disease. Each time he told me the tests were negative. I later found out from a different doctor that the tests were positive, and the word POSITIVE was written right on the report. Still he said I didn't have it. I ended up being hospitalized for over a week and still suffer pain in my joints. He very rarely has his own opinion and often sends you for unnecessary tests. When he does have an opinion he diagnoses the worst most possible scenario. Needless to say I have changed my primary care physician. After 20 plus years of having him as my doctor, he never inquired as to why I left his services. Dr Moskowitz is a very nice person but a very poor doctor. I have been with doctor Moskowitz for quite awhile and one reason I I stay a patient is because he cares. He spends time to help you and is reasonable. I just put on weight and he simply asked me to make small change and a change I can live with and losing just one to two pounds a month is great. Was lucky enough to get an appointment the day after I called. Lanny answered all my questions, referred me to a specialist, sent me for testing, and got me started on a treatment all on day one. Dr Moskowitz was an awesome doctor! He took his time with me during my first appointment to establish care and came at it in a whole person approach. I was totally comfortable with him and he had some awesome suggestions for healthy living. Will definitely continue seeing him as a part of my healthcare team.

Great doc. Pressed me to go to the hospital because of mild chest pains. Ended up having a 99% blockage of the LAD aka widow maker artery. He’s always been responsive and professional been going to him for years as well as my wife.
