S/O to the best Gynecologist in the whole wide world, Dr.Landon Smith. You took the time out and taught me so much about the female body and how it works, and most importantly, you helped heal my womb from PCOS. They are nice but misleading. Seems as if he prefers quantity over quality! You aren’t able to have a personal relationship with him because he’s overloaded with patients. Sometimes you’ll wait hours just to be seen for 5 minutes. I was pregnant and I was steadily cramping and filling up super pads. I kept reaching out to be seen because I knew something was wrong. Attempting to contact them was unsuccessful on numerous occasions! The few times that I was seen, I was ordered to keep giving blood without any explanation. The communication is horrible and there is barely any! I called multiple times because the bleeding increased. I kept insisting that they let me come in to see what’s going on. They rejected my request insinuating “everything was fine”. I desperately try to reach out to other doctors to try to get an appointment because I knew something wasn’t right. It took for another doctor’s nurse to contact them just for them to return my calls and voicemails! I went in for an ultrasound twice and there was no heartbeat and he assured me that it was because e baby was too little, which was strange because he only sees women when they are at least 8 weeks so there should be a heartbeat. Well fast forward, I endured excruciating pain as time went on. Desperately calling them begging to be seen they finally agreed. When I got there he did another ultrasound and ruled that the baby was dead weeks ago! The baby was dead at the time he couldn’t find a heartbeat “because it was too small”. I was walking around with a dead fetus in my body for two weeks! The next day my baby fell in the toilet while I was urinating ! I still haven’t healed from the mental and emotional anxiety and depression! It’s ashamed that you have to advocate for your own self while he collects six figures. They are nice but misleading. Best Dr. around, I had preclampsia with my daughter and after going to St. Francis they told me I was fine followed up with Dr. Landon and he caught it in time and saved my life and my daughters. He knows what he is doing and him and his wife are so humble and sweet they genuinely care about their patients!!

I have been going here for years. He just recently delivered my baby and we had some complications that made me have to have an emergency c-section. Dr. Landon and the Amazing staff at NLMC Labor & Delivery did a fantastic job. With prayer and their quick responses and expertise, my daughter and I have an awesome testimony to tell. In under 30 min I was in and out of surgery and listening to my babygirl. I am soooo thankful for his professionalism and for their kindness and willingness to do All it took to deliver her and save us both. I highly recommend him as an OB/GYN and labor and delivery at NLMC for your delivery needs. I've been going to him for a while now, over 6 years, like others has stated he use to be a great doctor but now.....I have no words for the unprofessional place. Some years ago he would have been highly recommended but now. Not so good. Don't waste your time.

Dr. Smith is wonderful. Good luck getting office personnel to answer the phone or call you back if you ever have questions or issues with something.

Absolutely horrible experience 3/3 times I visited. Have not been back in over a year since having my IUD put in which was one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever been through. His wife, who I believe is also his nurse was very sweet and comforting though.

Well I had my baby in 2016, Dr.Smith was very professional. I trusted his judgement and I felt both myself and my baby were safe in his hands.

Dr Smith was my dr in 2006 for my first son in west monroe then my dr again for the next 2 boys in ruston all were c sections an everything went great the nurses were all super sweet would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Landon is great! Now only if his nurses would answer the phones. I can't get anyone after I call multiple times.

Terrible service for women of color. He makes assumptions and does not have the time to listen. If you are willing to wait an hour and a half for service, handled roughly, and no call backs when results are in, this office is for you.

Maybe this office would be fine if you are sure that you will have a healthy pregnancy but do NOT go here if you think there is any chance of you having complications. I write this review to hopefully keep someone form going through the experience I did. I called Dr. Smith's office because I was concerned about some bleeding, they worked me in that day and did some labs because he said there were a couple of things he thought may be causing my bleeding. He stated that I may have to come in the next day to get a shot depending on my test results. I went home that night feeling everything would be ok, boy was I wrong. I called first thing the next morning to let them know that my bleeding had gotten worse and I was anxious to know my test results so that I might get the medicine to save my baby. The receptionist stated that she couldn't do anything until the nurse got there at 9:30am. I asked if she could please get her on the phone because I felt like something was seriously wrong and again said she couldn't do anything until the nurse got there. 9:30 rolled around and no call, so I called back up there and explained again to two more people what was going on, at this point they said my labs wouldn't be back for a week. A week? For my blood type? That was a flat out lie. So after having to call multiple times and fight tooth and nail, while at the same time bleeding and scared to death for my baby they finally let me come in. The doctor came into the office and told me that he sees lots of pregnant women that bleed the whole time they are pregnant. He says all this before he has even done a scan, thanks for the false hope, I guess he thought I was overreacting. Guess what? He does the scan, no heartbeat. I lost my baby which was painful enough but what made it even worse, having to fight with Dr. Landon Smiths' staff to get taken seriously just to find out my baby was gone. I know miscarriages happen and I know most of the time there is nothing anyone can do to stop it but I wouldn't want anyone to be scared for their baby and have to go through the experience I went through. The wait time was about thirty minutes. He was very professional and easy to talk to and worked around my pains and discomforts. The nurses were sweet and very helpful. The office was closed on lunch break and they still kindly opened it to give me my birth control shot. Definitely going back. My only complaint is the urine samples that get left in the storage bin in the bathroom. I just feel like if five women put their urine in there, there should be someone one the other side to grab them so they don't pile and cause a smell. Out of sight out of mind. If I could give no stars I would. Maybe had someone returned a call when the symptoms first started the baby would have surrvived. But now, a week later, I guess we will never know. Don't go here if you're having complications. Bleeding, cramping, possibly miscarrying?? They will sit you in the waiting room for hours and lie about test result times. Some people work in the medical field and we aren't all idiots. I get it, there wasn't an appointment and needed to be worked in. Meanwhile all these other healthy pregnant women got to come and go while someone else sat in fear of losing their baby, watching them, for hours. Not one person acted like they gave a damn. And the receptionist was rude and bitchy. And when called a WEEK ago and reported abnormal symptoms, was told someone would call back, never got that call back. Now this.... I'm sure had the other women known what was happening they wouldn't have minded waiting, because no good person wants another person's baby to die. Emergent situations require emergent attention. And yes an ER trip had already been made the day before. At least give the woman a room to lay down in so the baby doesn't come out in your waiting room. If I could give no stars I would. Don't come here unless you have a full hour to hang out in the waiting room. Front desk staff is always courteous but I can't say the same for the nurses. Dr. Smith has been professional and helpful, although always in a hurry to get in and out of the room. I heard the nurse loudly stating outside the exam room that it was ridiculous that I'd come back for a 6 month appointment even though it's what Dr. Smith and I discussed. I don't appreciate their unprofessional medical staff.

Dr Landon Smith is my OB/GYN. He is turely amazing. He is very compassionate and thorough. Takes pride in his practice. An outstanding family man and involved with the community. You will not be disappointed with his care or friendship.

He was very helpful, fast, and efficient. Delivered my fiancé and my baby baby with ease

Best Doctor you could ask for, my 2nd child was a high risk and he put myself and my husband at ease. You and your child is in good hands with Dr. Smith as your doctor.

Dr. Smith is an excellent doctor and I would recommend him and his staff to any one. He will always be the best Dr for me.

I had Dr. Smith through a 7-9 year period. He USED to be an amazing, attentive, and compassionate doctor, who truly heard the concerns of his patients and made sure to comfort them and do all he can to find out what is going on. NOW he is a different doctor almost...and thats very unfortunate...He is dismissive, sarcastic about patients concerns, and completely rude. At least that was definitely the case with me. HE was amazing and now lost his edge. it hurts me to say it, and Ive heard the same
