Great doctor ! Cares about his patients enormously

I've been to the office several times now and am very happy to have such a caring doctor and staff. All questions are answered. They are efficient, easy to communicate with and very thorough. The doctor is warm and I feel so comfortable discussing anything with him. If you have to go to a cardiologist, this is the place to go.

Never met the doctor. Never will. The office staff was horrible. Made an appointment there 3 months ago. They did not have a record of the appointment. Have to wait another 6 weeks before I can get an appointment, and it has to be virtual. Are they going to give me an EKG virtually? Won’t be using this physician.

Made an appointment with the actual DOCTOR for the appointment to not be placed in the system. The office staff for the life of them couldn’t figure out what happened but refused to accept responsibility that their staff messed up. I receive a new appointment with the nurse practitioner for the same day different time slot. I arrive the day of my appointment 30 minutes before my appointment (driving from west palm beach mind you) for them to cancel it because the nurse didn’t show up. AND THE ONLY REASON I WAS SEEING THE NURSE WAS BECAUSE THE APPOINTMENT WITH THE DOCTOR WAS “misplaced” . Can’t offer an opinion on the doctor because I never got to see him and Will not attempt to schedule with him again. The office staff was highly incompetent and the “manager” who tried to rectify the situation had zero customer service and absolutely no regard for patient needs. The appointment was canceled six minutes before my arrival time. They charge you a cancellation/no show fee, am I going to receive the same fee for the mishap, cancellation, and 78 mile wasted trip? Dr. Simkins and nursing staff are top notch. He is a great listener, compassionate and not quick to prescribe meds. Dr. Simkins has been my cardiologist for approximately 15 years.

Dr. Simkins & Joanna take their time listening to your concerns and educate you; they also give you time to ask questions and they make sure you know what is going on. They definitely do not rush you out of the office! The office is very clean. The staff is very warm and caring. Denise was able to schedule me in right away; she was so friendly on the phone and in person. Lisa, the nurse was also very friendly and very on point. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

For the past 25 years, Dr. Simkins has treated my entire family, (parents, siblings and husband). Dr. Simkins is an excellent and caring physician who not only listens to his patients, but takes his time and never rushes you. My family always feels safest in his care. Joanna Dinan, ARNP, Lisa, (with Dr. Simkins from the beginning!) and Carmen are the kindest, most professional staff you will ever have the pleasure to know. They truly treat you like family.

Dr Simkins is very patient and caring but his office is terrible. They've made four very important mistakes on my records and in getting records from hospitals. It's like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I fear the next mistake will make me leave this doctor and his office.

Dr. Simkins cares a lot about me as his patients and tells me the truth about my medical conditions. He is very deliberate in pointing out the issues he feels are important for me to know, such as the high blood pressure, the weight and lifestyle changes including exercise. He is dedicated to sharing valid and important information to the patients who are obese, and is intentional in having them be a part of the solution process. He is a very good doctor.

I love Dr. Simkins. He has helped me so much & is very patient with me. I ask a lot of questions & he answers each one with a lot of concern & great advice. He really cares about my health. & wants to help me lose the weight I need to lose so I can be healthy my whole life. It is not easy but it is a life long commitment not just something to do for a few months. He helps me with a plan to get rid of the weight & have better health to live longer. I learn a lot from this great, special doctor.

I am writing to say what an outstanding cardiologist Dr.Simkins is. I was having a hard time in reference to weight issues & had lots of anxiety about it.. I was worried how the extra weight would effect my heart & my overall health. Dr. Simkins was so patient with me, as I do ask a lot of questions. He made sure I understood all aspects of my medical issues & we worked on a plan just for me to deal with losing the weight in a healthy way. I have lost over 60 lbs, exercise & feel great!

I am a 7 bypass cardiovascular patient. I feel complete confidence in Dr. Lance Simkins & know that he is always there for me, when needed. He has always taken the time to look over all of my prior medical records, to gain an excellent understanding of my extensive medical situation. Additionally, my family & myself, have seen Stephanie, his excellent physician assistant, I can understand why she works as Dr. Simkins' right hand gal. Nurse Lisa is a blessing & he has a wonderful staff as well.

Dr. Simkins is a warm and caring physician that I would recommend to anyone that is seeking the services that he provides. He is knowledgeable, personable and open to all different types of treatment that will make you well. I strongly endorse him as a person and as a doctor.

Dr. Lance Simkins has been my surgeon-cardiologist for many years and my wife and I are eternally grateful to him for his care, devotion, and dedication. He is the very best of the best! Thanks again, Doctor Lance, for your care, your concern, and for putting up with a sometimes reluctant patient. Luke
